I think this is an establishment headed for real trouble. I think it can be salvaged, but changes will have to happen fast. The venue itself is very nice, and a great spot for looking out at downtown Lincoln. Our server and the staff were all very good, no problems there. That leaves the negative then about the food. It is a very pricey and limited menu. Which is fine, if the food delivers. In this case it did not come close to delivering the quality that the price demands. If you consider going, consult the menu first. Nearly all is ala' carte and upper end priced. And frankly Omaha Steaks, cooked at home, are better. I don't like writing a negative report about the establishment. I really hope they smack themselves in the head and look at that menu and overhaul it. Right now they are premier priced and located in a mid-scale atmosphere and location. They can get it right, and I hope they do. I liked the place, not the food quality and price.

Restaurant feels open like a cafeteria, chairs at our table had comfortable seat but uncomfortable backs, server was attentive and friendly but didn’t have a good grasp of the menu. In all 3 out of 5.

There was construction going on and a bit of a fly problem. Appetizers were very good, steak were ok just not great. Servers were incredibly nice just not up on bourbon or drink menu. Great place if you get to the hotel and just don’t want to travel

We thought for our anniversary we would try a restaurant we have not been to before. BIG MISTAKE. Just a loud sports bar with bad service and over seasoned food. Crab cakes served lukewarm and undercooked. We ordered a steak rare to medium rare, the steak we received was a little over medium and seasoned heavily.

Great location next to The Graduate Hotel and not far from Pinnacle Arena. We enjoyed the cocktails very much, especially the Black Currant Old Fashioned. Service was very good and ambiance was lively and fun but not too loud. We thought from the website that this was going to be a semi-formal restaurant good for a date night before a concert, but it's more of a bar, more casual than we expected. Menu has good variety. We both ordered steaks and for being in the great Midwest, we were disappointed in the quality. We don't think it was the preparation, just not great steaks. We had different cuts but neither were that great. We did like the mac and cheese side but if we went back we probably wouldn't order steaks. Perhaps the sandwiches or burgers would have been a better choice to try.

the server was kind and quick to get our order taken care of. but the food was nothing to be excited for. i got a steak which was loaded with fat and grissel, couldn't eat most of it. and my wife got a pasta dish which was way to spicy for her. but the menu made no mention of that. and the sandwich that she got to replace it looked like it was just thrown together to get it out. the mashed potatoes, if that is even what you want to call them looked like baby food. not impressed at all. will not be returning.

Disappointing they were out of all BBQ items, no onion rings, no Mac n cheese. Food took a long time & my soup was room temperature. Food was just okay. Was not wowed On the bright side our waitress did a great job refilling drinks, checking on us etc. We should have been informed when we arrived all the items they were out of.

Server was rushed. Our dinner was two hours long due to the lack of attentiveness. Felt like she wasn’t working for tips! The $50 steak was ordered medium but was brought out well done. Offered to only knock offs $4 or to re cook a new one ( this was after we sat there for 90 minutes). Bread pudding was dried out and about an inch high. Crème brûlée was chunky. Would NOT recommend!

Food was ok but not for the price. Small portions of sides for $5.00 a piece. The tables are part banquet and part weird outdoor seats. Ambiance for Valentines day was a no go - more sports bar with expensive food. Worst thing was that it was freezing inside - couldn't feel our hands so cold. The food came and within in 5 minutes it was cold. We definitely will not be going back.

Food is decent and a good enough value. The chairs in the dining room are banquet variety and lack character. The overall effort just misses being done well. We ordered loaded baked potatoes and the toppings were very minimal. Also, I ordered a Blantons bourbon. The first one came with a shot and a large cube. All good. For the second, they ran out and poured me the sip at the end of the bottle. Instead of a healthy pour for the first, they brought me the sip ( did not charge me), but never asked if I wanted something different. Nothing horrible, but just missed being exceptional.

Walked in and waited five minutes before someone greeted us and seated us. We had reservations. Then it took a few minutes but the bartender took our order and drink order. It took 55 minutes to get our dinner. I ordered my steak medium. I ordered a salad and mashed potatoes. My salad never came. The bartender said she would take the salad off our order. My steak was medium-well-done. Everything else on the plate was cold- the béarnaise sauce and the garlic mashed potatoes. Nothing had much flavor. Ordered a margarita- what a mistake! Tasted like bottled lemon juice from concentrate; so sour I couldn't drink it. Don't waste your money.

The restaurant looked unfinished, and a lot of the furnishings looked like event rentals. We were given a window seat, but the view was of the street construction and a gas station. The server could not answer a few simple questions about the food, and got part of the order wrong, despite there being just a few other diners there. Based on the menu and location, we expected more.

The seafood boil for a place like Nebraska was unexpectedly tasty and fresh. What sucks about the Single Barrel is that the aesthetic and ambience is awful. One huge, open room with bright lighting, one of 4 walls that are just unused, giant golf simulators that that have nothing to do with a quality dining experience, and a collection of tables, booths and chairs that look cobbled together from an estate auction. The bill was north of 150 for 4 people, you can give me at least the illusion I'm not eating at Virginia's.

I don’t usually post negative comments. But this place is overpriced. It might be for a casual crowd with a bar like atmosphere. But I’m here for a conference so we just wanted a nice dinner. We should’ve walked down the block. The staff were very nice but the steak was not good quality for the price.

I anticipated more from the reviews. We should have stuck with steaks or burgers. Those looked great on adjoining tables. We had the Korean short ribs as an appetizer and they were dry , the bulgogi flavor just didn’t come through. My wife had the burnt ends and I had the ribs. The burnt ends were not anything special . They looked like leftover short ribs. The ribs were okay. I think we would try this restaurant again and get a steak or burger. On the upside the drinks were great. The dark rye Manhattan made with walnut bitters was excellent.

The steaks are not near as good as they were in the other location. We paid $45 for an aged rib eye and it was just ...ok. I will not go back. If i'm going to spend $45 on a steak, i want to be 100% sure that it is going to be good.
