As always, the food at Merlion was outstanding. We had spring rolls and summer rolls as an appetizer followed by the Scallops Panang and the Chicken Pad Thai. Everything was excellent. We always ask for Jake to be our server because he is so good at what he does. Don't hesitate to enjoy this restaurant.

On our most recent visit, we found the restaurant beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and lots of extra small touches which gave it a true feeling of the holidays. The darker, more formal side of the restaurant included a beautifully decorated Christmas tree as well. Our waitress Bernice, was attentive at just the right moments, and also made excellent Cosmopolitans and Champagne Martinis. We also loved the intricate touches of elegance throughout the restaurant which included real candle-lit tables and rose petals surrounding the table candles. I highly recommend the Por Pia Thai egg rolls and the Shrimp & Calamari mixed tempura for appetizers. They were both delicious, as was the sweet chili sauce accompanying both dishes. For dinner, the Merlion Thai Peanut Sauce Curry with my protein choice of fresh shrimp, was just incredibly succulent, and served with just the right amount of pepper heat. My Wife opted for the Pad Med Mammuang with glass noodles, which is a long-time favorite of ours. It includes a Hoisen sauce with mushrooms, snow peas, water chestnuts and more. Don't forget to sample a nice wine from their very extensive and excellent wine list. Merlion is the epitome of elegance, sophistication and Thai creativity. It is a true gem that is incomparable in the Seabrook/Houston area.

We have never had a meal at Merlions that wasnt perfect. I cant say that about any other restaurant we have eaten at on a regular basis. It was a great way to spend our 25th wedding anniversary alos.

As always we had a very enjoyable and lovely evening at Merlion . Perfect weather for sipping wine and apps on the patio. Extra treat was catching a glimpse of Andrew. He is our favorite chef and every bite of food is outstanding! Kudos to Andrew, Brooke and staff. You guys rock!

Great food, but we are not sure what they are going for with the vibe at the bar. Very dark, very loud music and 5-6 people behind the bar with no organization. We had to wait 30 minutes for appetizers and it was over an hour before we got our entrees.

Thank you for the review. I went ahead and went through the camera footage since we time stamp our food tickets but only keep them for 1 day. So, I wanted to make sure I could speak with the kitchen about food times. I show you guys sat down at 6:13pm and Liz promptly got you guys some wine tastings & wine. Then you guys ordered appetizers at 6:18pm & that they arrived at 6:32pm. Liz then picked up your finished appetizers at 6:41pm. I show your entree order was placed at 7:01pm and show the entrees arrived at 7:23pm. There are 3 bartenders that are in the bar at all times. The other people you saw in the bar is the servers. At Merlion, all the servers make their own drinks for all their tables. I sorry if you felt like there was no organization but this is how we've done it for years.

Always a winner! We have never had a dish that wasn’t excellent. Celebrated 2 birthdays. Table was decorated, a delicious birthday Bundt cake was served after the em and we were given a bottle of champagne to bring home with us. Our favorite things on the menu are the dragon dumplings and the Raad Prick with Pablo crusted redfish. Fantastic!!!

Great experience! Veda did a great job in the bar and Jake took good care of us in the dining room. Food was exceptional, as usual. Always ask how fresh/hot the peppers are! The extensive wine list has some real jewels.

Our recent dining venture at Merlion was truly wonderful. We had an excellent waitress (Kendal, or Kendra I believe) who was very well-versed with the menu, wines, and cocktail list. She offered several suggestions, and was very polished with service at just the right times. The restaurant was completely packed on this evening, so the noise level was a little high. But this just added to our exciting dining venture. We both love the Thai offerings at this neighborhood gem, and will continue to dine here at every opportunity.

Celebrated a friend's birthday here and everything was phenomenal. We tried a little bit of everything and all of it was exceptional. They went above and beyond to decorate our table for the occasion, brought out a complimentary birthday dessert with a candle, and sent us home with a bottle of champagne! The only thing I could complain about would be the parking as there isn't very much so street parking can be required, the noise level of the restaurant (bad and good,) and it did take a while to receive our entrees (approx. 2 hours) however we did order appetizers to hold us over and to be fair it was a Friday night during Houston Restaurant Weeks. All of the staff were extremely nice and friendly. Overall, 10/10 recommend!

We went to celebrate my husbands bday with our 2 girls (3 and 1). We’ve dined here a few times before and were aware they did not have high chairs. Usually they accommodate us by having us sit at the half booth tables. This time around they sat us at a table, so we asked for the booth, and they agreed for us to sit there. We ordered 2 apps right away.. at 640p. Then 5-10 minutes later ordered our meals. We ordered from the HRW menu- comes with an app, soup or salad, entree, and dessert. The HRW apps came out first, even though we had ordered the regular apps 20 minutes ago. The first miss. The HRW app kabob was cold and onions were still raw. The second miss. The regular apps came 5 minutes later. The soup and salad came another 20 minutes later. Everything was cleared from the table. We waited for our entrees to come for 40 minutes.. with nothing on the table. We asked for Togo boxes and our dessert to come soon after our entrees were dropped off, because it was already 815p. We were not expecting this meal to take more than an hour.. but due to the long pauses between courses we didn’t leave until after 830p. Most of the food was good.. but it was spoiled by the slow service.

You originally made a reservation for 2 guests, then called to change it to 3. This is why we had your reservation at a table to start, we were unaware that you were bringing your two small children as well. You were seated at 6:40 after we moved tables around to accommodate your group.
