Arrived early for our reservation so had a drink and happy hour appetizer before moving to the dining room. The HH menu and prices were impressive so I’m bringing my team back next week. The seafood soup special was incredible.

This continues to be my favorite Italian restaurant in the Kirkland area. It is a cosy restaurant with great food. The cocktails we ordered were great. Amazing crab cakes for appetizers. Pasta dishes were just the right quantity and very tasty. Good choice for desserts as well.

I took my husband here for his birthday, we enjoyed the lobster fettuccine and the lamb shank, we were very pleased with the service and the food was spectacular. Will definitely come again.

Service was okay. Our menu was missing the daily menu which we only notice when 2 other couple after us received this menu. The bread was very good. It came with a salt mix and olive oil which we could dip. The food was less salty than many other Italian restaurants, which we thought was good. However the flavor of the food was a bit bland for me (pork jowl) but my wife's dish was good for her (Seafood Fettuccine. The dessert was of chocolate with walnut was lackluster. Very bland in flavor.

My husband and I went to Volterra for restaurant week. We were very pleased with the meals and service. The portions were more than adequate, and the meal choices were excellent We both enjoyed our meals. I had the Branzino, which was cooked perfectly and served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. My husband had the Braised beef short ribs which were also very good. I had the wedge salad as an appetizer which was very filling, tasty and gorgeously presented. The desserts were just as wonderful. This is an excellent Italian restaurant, and you can't go wrong to enjoy a great meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was really good. We had our anniversary there and we enjoyed it. Flavors were great and menu was well proportioned. Server could have been a little more educated on the menu and wine. Tables were a bit too close together for my preferences.

The owners must be completely checked out to let the woman running the bar and front of house run the show. One man on the wait staff and one bus woman who had any know how of customer service. The others were sort of trying, but in experienced at best. We had a reservation in place 3 weeks in advance for 5pm, the first dining reservation. Arrived to an empty dining room, except a family of 4 there for happy hour. We were given the worst possible table, in the back facing the kitchen and workstation. It was smelly, noisy and awkward with the cooks a few feet away and staff rushing back and forth. After sitting for 5 or 10 minutes with no contact, a waiter came up and we shared that we were not pleased with the table. The woman from the bar came back and appeared shocked that we weren't happy with the table and proceeded to berate me for being "defensive" when I shared I wouldn't have thought anything of this table if I had been a walk in, but as a first reservation and an empty restaurant, I was pretty surprised. The woman shrilly told us there was only one other table we could have because they had two tables of "twelve" coming in and the table that was our ONLY other option was near them AND the kitchen, so basically our choice was another bad table or we could come sit with her in the bar at the communal table. We were about to walk out, when the gentile waiter intervened and seated us by the window. The bar woman never came out to us again - thankfully actually. By 6:30pm there only two other parties had joined the restaurant and by the time we left still several nice open tables. We were told at 5:15pm that the specials were "all out"- not true and strange since we were the first people dining. The highlight was the bread and wine. We were so floored by the coarseness of the experience I couldn't fairly review the food. Have spoken with 2 fellow diners who have had similar experiences and reactions, all have said, never again. Sadly.

There is so much to love about this place. We were in town only long enough for one special dinner out, and boy did we make a great choice! We received a warm greeting at the door & were ushered to our table, a good size for our party of 4 and with enough distance from our neighbors to feel completely comfortable. Both food & beverage menus offer an inviting diversity of selections. Our waiter was both knowledgeable & friendly, offering helpful guidance when asked. Our dinners arrived hot & the eye & aroma appeal were high. Each entree (wild boar, chicken, pasta bolognese, & lamb) was delicious - truly outstanding! The accompanying vegetables were bright green & crisp-tender, & dessert (a fabulous lemon tart with fruit) was the perfect ending to a perfect dinner. Thank you to all who participated in making this such a special evening for us!

We on the wall by the kitchen but it was not noisy at all. Subdue lighting, very good wine and cocktails, loved that they were give some proceeds to one of their chef’s from Maui who lost his home. Our service was very good and the braised lamb was fantastic. We all enjoyed our dishes. The ravioli dish could have used some vegtables or some compliment.. the plate was oversized perhaps, our other dishes was very full, ravioli was underplated. It was a lovely dinner. Thank you!

This remains one of two favorite restaurants in the greater Seattle area. The food and service are absolutely amazing. They have a fairly new entree on the menu. It is seafood fettuccine with butter and lemon sauce. The egg noodle pasta is so outstanding with the tomatoes and fresh seafood 🦞

I generally like Voltera though sometimes they can be a bit too heavy handed with the butter. One cautionary note, I would avoid the Oxtail ragu pasta unless you like soft fatty meat. I honestly cannot understand why this would be on the menu.
