Amelia's Wood Fired Cuisine was opened in 2017 by owner Amelia Eesley, a long time restaurant professional, who wanted to bring to Tulsa the dining experiences she loved while living in New York. Since then Amelia's Wood Fired Cuisine's has succeeded in producing top notch seasonal cuisine lead by Chef Andrew Donovan. The experience at Amelia's blends the open wood fired kitchen with the beautiful candle lit ambience of the dining room; setting the stage for romantic nights, special occasions and celebrations. Wonderful experience - from the appetizers to the main courses, the food was excellent and VERY fresh. The service from everyone in the restaurant was top notch. I highly recommend Amelia’s for a family and/or business dinner.

We come here quite a bit, but I will say our food that night we didn't enjoy any of it. We spent over $200 on steaks and salads and appetizers and the hummus was off. The steak was overcooked and tasteless. The artichoke salad was hard to eat. The lamb skewers were not good at all would never order those again.

From the moment we were seated at the chef's counter, our favorite spot in the restaurant, we knew we were in for a truly special evening. The experience began with what can only be described as the best sidecar cocktail in Tulsa, crafted by the talented bartender, Ashley—a perfect prelude to the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant strikes a perfect balance between sophisticated elegance and welcoming warmth, with intimate lighting and a buzz of happy conversation that sets the stage for a memorable meal. It’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully considered. I had the pleasure of ordering the sea bass, and to say it was exquisite would be an understatement. The fish was cooked to absolute perfection, with a beautifully seared, crispy skin giving way to moist, flaky flesh that melted in my mouth. It was accompanied by a delicate zucchini gratin, which was savory, creamy, and the perfect complement to the fish. Each bite was a symphony of flavor and texture. My dining partner opted for the fried quail, and was equally impressed. The bird was tender and succulent, accompanied by a delightful bacon fat peach vinaigrette that provided a perfect balance of smoky, sweet, and tangy notes. It was served with a classic corn maque choux that was both creamy and bright, a perfect pairing for the rich quail. It was a rustic yet refined dish, showcasing the kitchen's ability to elevate classic flavors into something truly extraordinary. What truly tied the experience together was the impeccable service, led by our exceptional server, Logan. He was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely passionate about the food. It’s a rare treat to find a restaurant where every element—the food, the atmosphere, and the service—is in perfect harmony. Amelia's is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary destination.

What keeps us coming back to Amelia's whenever our travels take us to Tulsa? Let me count the ways: the lighting, room temperature, background music, and decor have all been well-considered and curated. This is one of my pet peeves for many fine dining restaurants where, although the food may be delicious, other seemingly small issues such as those listed above have been ignored. Amelia's ticks all the boxes, from honoring our seating preference to making a great cocktail. And I haven't even mentioned the food! On this occasion, we sampled the empenadas, the beet salad (yum!), and the sea scallops with roast vegetables. All were superb, especially accompanied by a red wine recommended by our server. Well done, Amelia's!

Though I thought the chefs counter would include insight from the chef, it did not. We were just given an opportunity to see the kitchen work their magic. Service was wonderful. From hostess, to server, to food runners. Food was impeccable and perfect. Ambiance was nice and it was an awesome touch that Amelia herself poured our wine and told us why the wine was paired with the dish.

Wow. Outstanding experience. We were in from Arizona and loved everything about this place. Highly recommend. Loved the empanadas and the halibut. Cheesecake also amazing.
