Excellent service and food.
Very nice restaurant with a limited menu but good choices. They serve only wine and beer and the wine list is small and expensive. Service and decor is professional and top of the local competition. Big city prices in a beach town, so be prepared when you see the prices.
Wonderful decor. Great starters and desserts. Mahi special was bland. Paella was disappointing.
Sitting in their outdoor dining area with the waterfall, the excellent food and the outstanding service, it is a pleasure to dine at LaCocina and recommend it to friends. It is one of if not the finest restaurants in St Augustine.
We came here on a recommendation from Paula from St. Sebastian Winery, whose friend Jorge works here. The restaurant was close to where we were staying (a definite plus) and away from the hub-bub of historic St. Augustine. I had the seafood crepes and my wife had the chicken tacos. I paired my mine with the Albarino from Spain. I think the food was fine, but perhaps a little under-seasoned, e.g. mine could have used a touch more garlic.
It was our second visit and everything was as good as the first time. Our dinner companions felt the same about the experience.
Outstanding. Jorge is great.
An impeccable meal. We did dinner tapas style. Started with Lobster Bisque and salads, followed by the Mussels and the Octopus, finishing with the Crab, all from the appetizer menu. Everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. The piece of our meal was slow, but we prefer that to having our food rushed out before you have a chance to finish each course. We would most definitely come back.
Always a pleasure to dine at La Cocina. Their food doesn’t disappoint!
everything from the ease of reserving a table, seating, service and most important the food(yum) was excellent. i will certainly return again.
Great food. Great find very tasty overall
The prices charged were a little more than what the prices were on the website menu.
The sea bass we ordered was very good as was the salad and Lobster bisque.
The food & service was amazing!! Will definitely be back!
Food, wine and ambiance were excellent. Waitress apparently was new and not quite the same caliber as the food.
Great food and great service. Escargot were amazing and my steak nice and rare.
One of the best restaurants in St Augustine, very elegant with N excellent wine list
Food was exceptional! Service was terrific. All food served hot and with attention to taste and detail.
one of the best dining experiences in St Augustine
We were there for frank sinatra show. The entertainment was so fun. The food was a prefixed meal. And not that good. Pumpkin gnocchi was like a ball of paste. Halibut a bit fishy risotto cake underneath another ball of mush paste. Dessert was delicious. Wine with each course not bad. I have been to this restaurant several times and usually have a good meal. Was very disappointed considering it was $120 a person.
La Cocina is one of my favorites in St. Augustine. The service, food and ambiance is wonderful. I had the Octopus Salad and Bouillabaisse, which were both delicious. An all time favorite!!!
thoroughly enjoyed my experience. cannot believe i've lived in st. augustine and never went before. this will not be my last time.
This is one of the best restaurants in St Augustine, if not the best! I eat there once every week! It is a joy!
This was our second dining experience and we were not disappointed.
Everything was perfect, usually one or 2 things aren't up to par, but here, EVERYTHING WAS!
Wonderful atmosphere, food delicious as usual. I appreciate that most of the options are gluten free. Our server was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the cuisine and the area. She was very professional and made our dining experience great.
Special of the day was a 38.00 ref snapper which was like rubber. When told 5hey said that's the way it's cooked with the skin in..really??.. Laughed when I asked them for at least a desert.or a cup if coffee.Bill was over a 100.00 for 2.not a way to handle this problem.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. One of our very favorite Saint Augustine restaurants. We are never disappointed. Thanks to Norberto for his attention to detail and his constant striving to make dining a very special experience at LaCocina. Also a big thanks to George, our very favorite server. He’s the best!
Restaurant was very noisy...hard to have conversation due to several large tables close by and very loud. Service was slow. Food arrivals were slow. Food was excellent, however very pricey for St Augustine beach. Entree was $48 for sea bass....and service charge of 20% was added to the bill.....
Lobster tail over cooked and tough. Lobster bisque very good
Exceptional as always. The food is always fresh and presented beautifully. My go to restaurant for whenever I want a truly good meal.
the salmon was excellent. service very good however the view of the pool was a negative. so was the lack of alcohol. only wine and beer. they should move to a better location. would get more customers. we are unlikely to return to this location. hope they move
Fantastic dinner, service and ambiance. Octopus Salad was delicious, along with the Shrimp and Grits. Always love this restaurant and will return!
The first time in St. Augustine and I couldn't have chosen a better restaurant to kick-off a mini vacation with a friend. Sarah was our waitress and her charisma kept the mood going. The food and wine suggestion were perfect!
Absolutely delicious! I had the scallop-encrusted salmon with lemon basil sauce— it was divine! Cooked to perfection. Moscato was the best I’ve had. Server was lovely. Anastasia Beach is a 3 min walk from the restaurant— an absolute must-see! Worth the drive and price!
We loved the food and service... the location is a drawback... the view is the pool of the hotel and not something we enjoyed during our dinner.
This is without argument one of the best "fine dining" establishments in St John's county and it's easily the best place on the island for fine dining. Wine list is ok, noise can be an issue as it's very open, but the food cannot be topped. Matched maybe (Collage, Preserved) but not topped.
Norberto, the Food and service are unique.,I love to Go there is Make us Happy!,GRACIAS!!
Excellent service by Sarah. Very good presentation. Tables well set with proper silverware and impeccable table cloths. The best Lobster bisque I've ever had. Excellent Rack of Lamb and salads.
A wonderful restaurant for fine dining on Beach A1A. The cuisine is continental with a very nice wine selection, and complemented with attentive, friendly service. I come here frequently.
Ever since it opened, La Cocina has been our first choice for all special events, holidays, birthdays, etc ... as well as our favorite "let's go out for lunch/dinner" choice! We have never been disappointed ... if you have not experienced a visit here, we urge you to do so!
