Tartufo Restaurant is an award-winning Italian restaurant and full service bar featuring authentic, unique, and Mediterranean cuisine. We have been serving our guests in Newton Centre, Massachusetts since 2004. Our menu is comprised of made to order Italian cuisine, with all natural ingredients in a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We welcome you to come, sit back, relax, and enjoy our delicious Italian food, as well as our wide selection of premium wines.

Tartufo was founded by Owner/Manager Anna Mountzuris. Anna explains, “the concept for the restaurant entails an enticing assortment of organic meats, fish, vegetables, freshly baked bread and desserts, all prepared in the Abruzzese and Mediterranean tradition”.

Outstanding service and excellent food. The chef was kind enough to accommodate a special request from a member of our party. Lovely restaurant. The only drawback was that it was a bit noisy. Overall, we loved it. There is a private dining area upstairs.

Haven’t been here in a long time but will definitely come back. The restaurant was noisy but otherwise great. Server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Special dietary requests were accommodated with no issues. We had salmon, veal Marsala and Lobster Arribratta. All were cooked and presented to our liking. Good value.

This was my second time at this restaurant. The first time I went, it was unbelievable. I got the chicken Parm. The service was spectacular. Location was great. The second time I went to this restaurant everything was very different. The chicken Parm was very overcooked and the sauce was very salty. The service was a little bit slow but friendly. It is possible maybe short staffed.

Staff was so friendly and nice! The food was delicious and good portions! There was a mishap with the app allowing us to make a reservation before opening, but the staff handled it perfectly! They still let us seat and order food. We’re sorry for that by the way! But we appreciate the effort greatly!

Slow and inattentive service. There were gnats flying around the dining room and in the bathroom. Had to swat them away while eating. Can only imagine what it was like in the kitchen. Food was mediocre and expensive for what it was.

What a wonderful experience we had at Tartufo, it was our son's birthday and was made to feel very special. Mussels, grilled shrimp and lobster salad were delicious, we had the special options which was veal chop and lamp which were cooked perfectly. When it was time for happy birthday, our son was serenaded by the lovely saxaphone player who was there that evening. What made the whole evening was our server, he was fun, explained the menu, kept the cocktails flowing who couldn't have asked for a better time. Thank you - we will be back
