Usually our favorite restaurant, but not a good night. We had to ask for the regular appetizers that come with this amazing meal. They kept pushing us for drinks & the servers never smiled. Definitely an off night but I must add the food never disappoints!!!
Seriously the best Italian in NYC!!
The food was incredible. Only problem I had with the place was that they try and rush you out of there by bringing the food out very quickly. It's probably because it's a small room with limited tables.
My family and I were seated promptly and immediately surrounded by 3 people pushing bread, veggies, salami, water, and Parmesan cheese at us. The service was prompt and someone was always topping off our drinks. The food was amazing, and the manager brought us complimentary lemoncello.
We both had 1/2 rack of lamb, which was delicious. The cheese and other tasty things plus bread at the beginning of the meal were delicious. Our waiter always remembers the wine we like, which is helpful.
It was quite crowded for a Saturday at 2:30, which also meant it was noisy. But the food here is exceptional.
The food was very good and setting lovely. Having said that I’d probably not dine there again because of the poor service. Initial welcome was warm but throughout the meal requests for more bread or water were repeated multiple times. Attention was minimal and with a brusque attitude.
We always go to this restaurant in Las Vegas and love it. First time in in NYC,exactly they same. However, the veal dishes never seem to live up to the the rest. Would recommend other dishes rather than the veal.
Extremely noisy to a fault. Excellent food, copious amounts. Efficient service.
That was the single worst NYC dining experience I’ve ever had. The restaurant is too small, too crowded, too noisy, they rushed us to order, rushed us too eat, rushed to clean the table and told us they needed the table because there were lines of people waiting after being there for 15 minutes. There was no one waiting. Our waiter was condescending and obnoxious. The food was fair for the price.
The best Italian food I have ever had!! Had heard about them from a friend and they did not disappoint. Everything was superb, from the appetizer to the main course.
We have been regular there when in the city for years now and I just felt my food was a bit bland this time.
This place is one of the very best Italian restaurants in NYC, or maybe anywhere outside Italy! Arrived a little early, warm welcome and a little wait at the bar, whilst the table was made ready. Enjoy, but make sure your credit card can take the hit......
Wonderful ambiance, best Oslo Buco I’ve ever had. Wonderful service.
Il Mulino is a great restaurant with wonderful food and excellent service. The noise level needs to be adjusted. It is a foodie paradise: expensive; but very worthy!
fabulous and fun, flirty and fantastic people, service, atmosphere,.
I went for my birthday. It was loud, crowded and the food was simply average.
Service was exceptional.
I met a friend that i haven’t seen in a long time. The perfect spot with delicious food and amazing service. People over there live their jobs. I definitely recommend the lamb:)
Reservation was Saturday. Service was overwhelmingly aggressive and pushy, not a relaxing experience. I’ve never knew who my waiter was, because I ordered with 5 different waiters and served by another 5 at least. I was thinking they needed the table, but they had over eight tables that were empty for over an hour., at prime time 7:30-8:30.Food was very good is a shame the service made for a unpleasant experience.
Excellent experience, the service and meal was top notch.
Great. Can’t say enough. About it.
All is the above - as usual an outstanding experience.
This is my favorite restaurant in NYC, if not the world. Service is attentive and unobtrusive, food is out of this world, and they never disappoint.
Maitre D Ruby was very rude and not accommodating at all. Waiter did not want to serve us and was in a bad mood. Rushed us through the meal. Put check on table right after entree cleared without even asking about dessert or coffee. Food not up to standard. Rack of lamb had small thin chops. Linguine frutta di mare had tiny scallops and shrimps that were smaller than I have ever seen or had. Would not recommend as did not have a good experience.
I’l Mulino is terrific in both locations. A regular favorite.
Sadly our experience at this Il Mulino was horrible
As always, dining at il Mulino is an incredible experience!
Dinner took two hours to arrive - terrible service, ate at 1030 pm for an 830 pm reservation. The food was good once it arrived but the place was a completely disorganized disaster.
The waiters rushed us through dinner so fast that they wanted us out in under an hour ... and that was painfully obvious. Unfortunately we were rushed through the delicious food they offer.
Every bit every sip every crumb is fabulous!
Classic Italian cheeses and veal and bread to die for.
Bad service .
I would NOT recommend this restaurant.
Some of the best Italian food in the city. Fantastic service and an even better meal.
Excellent Italian food. Wonderful FREE items as soon as you sit ! Tasty and authentic dishes. Will be back
Great food but huge portions 1 plate is enough for one.
Fabulous meal and great waiter!!
In three words: unremarkable, unmemorable, overpriced.
We love the food at this restaurant, service is always quick and prompt and food tasty. However, our early dinner reservation on Saturday felt very rushed, chaotic and we were seated at a table in the center entrance with waitressing bumping to our table each time they had to serve any other table. We had trouble enjoying a date night despite the good food. As we were seated we were told to make sure to depart within a certain time frame, which did not feel like a welcome to the restaurant. Anyway, food is good, hope they improve the rushed attitude and chaos.
