The atmosphere is perfect for conversation. The service was NOT pretentious at all and EXTREMELY competent at what they do. Old school service delivered by an army of young waiters/ waitresses Portions sizes were fine & prices are in line with most other restaurants in Monmouth County that aspire to be fine dining. Excellent food. Mozzarella, osso-buco, bolognese, veal saltimbocco all on point Zero execution errors, a fine oiled machine. One of the better meals I’ve had in a long time.

We brought our good friend Ro to have dinner with us. She had enjoyed her granddaughter’s graduation at the restaurant last year. We had a delicious dinner beginning with Caesar salad. She was so impressed. Heather was so kind to us. The staff gave us plenty of time between courses to catch up on old times. We had espresso and continued sharing stories of past, good times. A great night! Thank you.

Our Saturday night place to be. The staff is so welcoming. The restaurant was full with happy diners. Franco appeared at our table immediately to announce the specials. We had the artichokes/lobster special appetizer (which is so abundant it could be a meal) and the Halibut special entree. Both dishes were exceptionally delicious. We ended the night with espresso and wished owner Anthony a Happy Birthday before leaving.

I’ll start by saying the service was very good, except it was a very long distance time between courses. Our disappointment came when we weren’t able to make simple modifications to the dish. We are ordering. Namely, just substituting mashed potatoes for risotto. I am 70 years old and new dined at all the major restaurant in New Jersey and many many times, and never have I had a problem just making such a simple request. Besides that each dish we had from appetizer through entrées was extremely salty. All you could taste was the salt and hardly any of the actual dish itself.

Overall , I was somewhat disappointed. It was $220 per couple ( with tips ) and we haven’t even had drinks or dessert or coffee . Portions were small; 5 mushrooms is an order ; 3 tiny rolled eggplants enough for three bites is an order . To get mozzarella with tomato with something on top for a table of 8 people would be $60 so we didn’t even order that . Prices didn’t fit the portions . Riwotto under my salmon was a few teaspoonfuls . The room we were in barely had people - maybe because of the prices .. no bread with butter served as soon as we sat down and we had to ask for it to be brought . No juices available . Although the food was tasty , because of such small portions we had to toder more and more . I don’t like this . When I think of an Italian restaurant , I think of generous portions . Not this Italian restaurant .

As always, the service, ambiance and food were exceptional. We loved the artichoke and lobster appetizer. We finished the evening with espresso- too full for dessert. Next weekend is Valentines’ weekend. I cannot think of a more romantic restaurant.

Outstanding service, the opposite of todays rushed, loud venues where they’re looking for turnover. The food is the most delicious I’ve had since my vacation to Italy. Zero substitutions or changes to dishes allowed. Wouldn’t even change the type of pasta used in the dish with no changes to the sauce. 3 of us got our meals and 1 had to wait 10 minutes. Will not be returning.

Firstly, the hostesses at the door are wonderful to be greeted by. The decor feels authentic and simple. This place is more concerned with service and food than showing off. The waitstaff are impeccable and attentive from the busboys/ girls to the head waiter. Every bite was delicious. The mussels, rice balls and lobster bisque were the best I’ve ever tasted…Hands down. The owners were present and humorous and it was what an evening out would feel like at a friends house that is a chef.

What a wonderful classy and low key restaurant. The pasta dishes are superb as well as their fresh homemade mozzarella . Yes it was busy because of New Year’s Eve but plenty of help on hand and a wonderful staff overall. I will definitely recommend to all my friends and be back in the new year!

They tried to sit us at a table in the path of the kitchen. Asked to be moved “one” table back and they refused at first. Owner told us that people who make reservations months in advance get “preferred” seating. We made a reservation about a week in advance so no preferred seating. As for the food it was very bland in taste. Had the cioppino. My salad was overwhelmed with lemon. We were then told when we went to pay with a credit card that there was a 4% credit card fee. The whole dinner was disappointing and overpriced. We will never go back.

We came in for New Years Eve after finally getting a reservation. The food was delicious and they had plenty of staff to take care of everyone. We ordered four courses and they came out perfectly spaced. Never did we feel rushed or that we were waiting for food. Tables are close to one another but it was very comfortable and quiet. Everyone was very friendly and professional from the second we walked in the door to when we left. Thank you!

We had an excellent dinner with outstanding service on New Years Eve. We have dinner here several times a year, and are always satisfied with the selection and quality. The dining room is cozy and comfortable, and tables for two are nicely sized.

Christmas eve dinner on the coldest night of the year. We were welcomed upon arrival by the wonderful staff with Christmas cheer and warmth. The holiday menu was perfect and the food was exceptional as always. The service was beyond expected. We were missing one family member and will be back on Wednesday to enjoy with the whole family. Dined here on Christmas Eve. I understand the pumped up prices on Christmas Eve however, the kitchen has to perform. The halibut was dry and the shrimp and lobster pasta dish was tough and un-edible. The Pear Salad was lacking flavor. We did not stay for dessert. The waiters were great, There were a lot of young kids working and I didn't have the heart to stiff them on Christmas eve. It's not their fault the kitchen dropped the ball.

Service was exceptional and everything we ordered was excellent. The staff here is incredible. Everyone is very friendly and well trained. The food was amazing, the appetizers, including calamari and mussels were delicious. Everyone in our party of 4 enjoyed their entrees lauding the short ribs, pasta and salmon. The bananas foster was well prepared and absolutely delicious. We have been going here for years and will definitely be back soon.

Great place to go for a special occasion or just a week night out! Every time I go here, they always have outstanding service and food. Last time my girlfriend and I went, they actually gave us homemade mozzarella on the house, which was amazing! Definitely the hidden gem of Freehold!
