   The view is always wonderful and the service was nice as well. I wish that Water’s Edge would get with the program like other restaurants in the area and offer a couple vegan/vegetarian meals. There are so easy and should be offered with this trend…just saying

   Food was good, not great…service was fantastic. The view/ambiance was equally fantastic. Not super pricey, but definitely not cheap. All and all, I wouldn’t come back unless the food got better. This place could be fantastic if they did a brunch on Sunday’s.

   I made dinner reservations earlier in the week for Saturday night @ 6:30 for a party of 6 for a birthday celebration. When we arrived we were taken to our table which had only 4 chairs. I asked to sit at a different table that had 6 chairs and was told it was reserved and I said I had made reservations also. We stood around for a while and waited for someone to bring us 2 chairs. We had no place settings and one menu - we had to ask for an appropriate number of menus & place settings. One person in our party asked at least 4 times for a beer before his order was taken. Our waitress was very sweet and I believe she did her best but our overall experience was not pleasing at all. We’ve eaten at the Rhumb Line/Waters Edge many times under both restaurant names and had very pleasant experiences prior to last night. The entire evening felt hectic and very unorganized. Unfortunately we will not return.

   They finally got it right. Its ambiance and food are much more casual and fitting for folks getting off their boats and coming in for food or after spending time at the harbor. The burgers were above average, the brussels sprouts were wonderful, and my seared tuna was excellent. I'm looking forward to going back again.

   We have dined at Waters Edge many times and have always enjoyed the food, service and the ambiance. We selected the restaurant because we looked forward to sharing a nice quiet evening celebrating our wedding anniversary and enjoying fish from the extensive selection we have always enjoyed. The hostess was vey nice, found our reservation and seated us at a table with a lovely view of the marina. The sound level was horrendous. The singer was very loud and all of the patrons had to shout above the noise to hold a conversation. Our waiter, Abraham, was very nice. When we questioned why there were only two fish entrees on the menu, and six hamburgers to choose from, he explained how much the cost of fish had increased. The restaurant has every right to change their menu, but we were caught off guard by the unexpected, radical change. I would suggest they change the name of the restaurant to hamburger Harry’s. Our local fish restaurant has not changed the selection of fish, and has held the line on pricing. When we ordered, we specifically asked for the appetizer (a delicious spring roll filled with shrimp and cabbage) and the clam chowder to be brought out first, together. Then serve the entree (one of two fish dishes - fish and chips) next. The entree was served half way through the appetizer and soup. When I asked the busboy for malt vinegar for the fish, he looked at me as if I were from another planet. After a few minutes, he wheeled over a cart with a lot of different relishes and toppings for the hamburgers, but no more vinegar. Another bus boy came by and offered to get us what we asked for. By this time, our waiter has still not come over to check to see how we were enjoying ourselves. He actually didn’t show up again until our dishes were cleared and we waited at an empty table for 10 to 15 minutes. He finally came over and asked us if we wanted dessert. We will not be returning.

    It started as a good experience then our waitress forgot about us. We were charged for soda water and a harbor fee which I find so confusing isn't that why ppl make a reservation for a beautiful view ..now you have to pay for it...silly . After all this the manager Paige made the experience back to why we reserved dinner there the food was great.

    We tried the new waffle & omlette bar. Chef Alex made 2 delicious breakfasts & added bananas & peanut butter to our waffle to make it like the "Elvis" that used to be on the Brunch menu. Although we miss having the Elvis & the Egg in the Hole for brunch, we were happy with the new set up & we will be back. Especially, if Chef Alex keeps the banana, peanut butter & Nutella out for the waffles.

    I was looking for somewhere fun to take my wife for Valentine's Day. We usually head to LA when looking for a nice restaurant, but wanted to try something new, so we headed to Ventura. I had reservations for 6:30 specifically requested a nice window table. We waited for about 1/2 an hour after arrival to get our table. They tried to seat us at a non window table and we had to push for a better one. Service was poor. Our waitress was barely around and we had to grab her attention several times to request what we needed. They had a prefixed menu for $69 a person and were very generous with portions. The bread, tuna tartar, salad, and dessert were all amazing! My main course was swordfish, which was also amazing. My wife had steak, which was just OK. Wasn't bad, but didn't standup to the quality of the other food. I would like to go back on a non holiday and see the full menu and hopefully have better service.

    Water's Edge has a new menu with items moderately priced especially what prices are now when you go out to eat. They are still doing Happy Hour 3-7pm. They have added "Builded your Own" burger, pasta & pizza. My husband and I share a Margherita Pizza, Umani Chips from the Happy Hour Menu, I also had the Oxberry salad and he had the Shimp Lumpia. Everything was delicious. Chef Alex has done a great job on the menu. In addition TV's have been added to the area with the hi top tables. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel welcomed. Recap: Great food, good selections, good prices and great staff!!

    Reservations were confirmed. We arrived and the restaurant was CLOSED!!!! We had to scramble around to find another restaurant on a busy Saturday night. OpenTable didn't work.

    My Salmon with Brussels was outstanding. My husbands New York steak was bad and tough. The service was poor. There were only two tables in dining area including us. More people up top for happy hour and loud. Took a while to get a drink. Server delivered drinks and took our order. A runner dropped off our meal and we never saw our server. He never checked on us or offered more to drink or anything while the dining area was empty. Long after we finished he picked up our plates and asked if we wanted another drink or anything else which was comical...we were long finished. He dropped off our bill and did not pick it up. I had to bring it to him. For the price it was terrible service. Your server needs to be more attentive. First time there and disappointed.

    You're at the harbor; you pay for the view, and it's worth every penny. Service was top notch. This visit was Sunday brunch, and I had Fish and Chips. Probably not the best choice. Breakfast items, ordered by dining companions, looked way better. The fish was very moist and fresh, and the batter was at first very delicious. However, after just a few bites, the batter started to absorb steam from the fish and quickly dissolved into a gooey mess. Next time I'm here at brunch, I'll stick with the breakfast items.

    We had reservations for 11:00 AM on Christmas Eve and when we walked in there were only a few other tables occupied. We placed our drink order and after we toasted each other we went up to the buffet area AND from that moment it was all absolutely WONDERFUL. Everyone was festive and the manager came by and thanked us for coming and wished us a Happy Holiday. The food was excellent and as someone who has shied away from Brussel Sprouts all my life the ones they served were so good I went back for more. The desserts were outstanding and I didn't eat another thing the rest of the day. The superb service was only intensified by the delicious food which made this Christmas Eve a truly memorable one. When we finished our meal and left there were many tables occupied.

    We arrived 10 minutes early and our table was not ready. We had reservations for outside seating. Understandable, however, when we were seated, there were 15 tables outside and only three occupied. We were seated and all tables occupied had heaters but ours. Next, we were handed our menus and it was a fixed menu. I was disappointed as there was no mention of a fixed menu anywhere on their site for that night. It was a light parade menu. I opted for this restaurant instead of another due to choices on the regular menu that look amazing for both my husband and I. We decided to stay as a couple of items I had viewed on the menu was on this fixed one. The first and second courses were fantastic. The salads were good. The main courses were okay. The ahi was overcooked and the broccoli was way over cooked. So burnt that at first I thought it was baked kale. It was not. The dessert was a disappointment. The chocolate chai sorbet was good. The fruit on the bottom was a wonderful surprise. The cheesecake was dry, tasted like it came from a package, and the "fruit" on top was jam spread on top. We split the sorbet but left the cheesecake. The website is amazing for this restaurant, but it did not live up to the beautiful display of food advertised. Wished I had known about the fixed menu, we would have chosen another night or time. The cost for two was $300 and the value was not there. I wanted a relaxing quiet night, however, there were locals who came in the back gate sat in the patio area where we were eating and even they had a heater. Then kids and other people from inside came outside and the kids were running around yelling, and yet not a single staff person asked them not to yell or run. BTW, I work with children daily, usually this does not bother me, but I wanted a quiet evening. Another reason was two of the children fell and hurt themselves, which led to more screaming. I wish the restaurant had lived up to its website and description. Waiter, was fantastic.

    We went specifically for the oysters. After being seated we asked the server if they had oysters that night and he said yes so we ordered drinks. When he returned with the drinks he told us they didn’t have oysters. That was disappointing and we thought about leaving, but we stayed. Big error. I ordered the calamari, it was tender but the coating was soggy and greasy. For the entree I ordered the salmon and Brussel sprouts. The salmon was overcooked and dry. The brussel sprouts were the only enjoyable part of the meal. The server was very kind and apologetic. For the record, they comped my calamari because of the oyster confusion. There were 3 of us.

    Very disappointing. We've dined here 4-5 times in the past and it was excellent. The first clue things have changed was the nearly empty dining room. Service was slow, food was "ok" at best. I asked for medium rare and got well done. The pasta and risotto were warm, not hot and fresh. We won't be returning unless there's an announcement of a new chef and/or ownership.

    My partner and I came in for lunch on a slow early December afternoon. Brought our dog and sat on the patio. Food was great! View of the bay was beautiful. Cocktails were tasty. Would absolutely come back next time we are in town

    My crabcake Benedict was extremely bland, and my dining companion’s omelette was undercooked. We came to this restaurant last year and had been looking forward to coming back. The meal was very disappointing.
