   We enjoyed our Power lunch today specifically because the food was very good. Some background on why I didn’t score it better is because I made a reservation the day before and advised them it was for the new advertise power lunch, which is supposed to be a quick 45 minute in and out process. My reservation was for 1230 and we seated within just a minute or two at a table that already had four people. The server came to take our order and I said I was a Power lunch as was my companion. She looked a little confused and went and got the hostess and told her we were Power Lunch. Apparently she was not aware of that even though I stated that in my reservation. It was at this point that she asked us to get up from the table and go back out into the hostess waiting area. Apparently, because some of the food in a Power lunch comes out from the back kitchen & is not prepared at the grill, we were to be seated at a different table. To make a long story short, we waited for 15 minutes plus in the hostess area. I inquired what the holdup was and was told they only had two chefs who were busy at other grills. After the second time and a 35+ minute wait we were seated at a new table only to have another 10 minute wait. No one else was seated with us and finally a server came out to take our order. I understand that some of our food was being cooked in the back as is normal with soup and salad, but on the Power lunch, they prepare fried rice in the back & bring it to you. When chef was done at our original table where we were seated, she came over to cook our protein & vegetables - by this time the people at our original table were done eating. What I don’t understand is why we had to be removed from that table when they simply could’ve brought us our salad/soup and rice from the back kitchen.Though we were not in a rush I have to say this being described as a Power lunch in 45 minutes or less did not happen for us. It was disappointing to wait 45 minutes to be seated -served.

   We were truly disappointed and felt as if our money was very much wasted with our Mother’s day Experience. We arrived and sat at the table and didn’t get addressed by our server, Selema for 10/15 minutes. She then came toke our drink orders, and then came back 10 minutes later with our drinks & to take our order. She toke our orders & we didn’t get realized by our chef for 20/30 minutes. He came and said they forgot to tell him about our table. The portions were HORRIBLE compared to typical Hibachi and compared to the pricing. He was missing things on our order like our noodles and rice and it toke 10/15 minutes for someone from the back to even bring them to make it. Our drinks didn’t get filled to we were done eating after needing water already for a while. She never asked if everything was good etc nor came to check on us. Our meal came with ice cream as well, she never asked us all if we wanted it etc. Overall we will never be returning nor recommending to anyone. Our server herself was not trained well nor cared.

   Wait staff was understaffed so drinks and the check took a long time to happen. Hibachi chef was very fun.

   Food and service very good but overall not worth the prices. Other hibachi restaurants are a better value overall and just as good. We did have a $30 birthday coupon but that doesn’t make it worth the prices they charge. Portions smaller and not as many vegetables served. Noodles are extra here whereas other Hibachi restaurants include them with meal. No mushrooms served. Non alcoholic beverages priced too high. Everything tasted good, chef was friendly, server very nice. Biggest negative is their pricing and quantity of food.

   E and Shanice were great! Service was great. One of the best experiences I’ve had at that location.

   Ron was our acrobatic chef - great food and great entertainment. His helper was excellent at getting our sides and beverages full.

   My friend and I have no family in town, so we love to go to Benihana for lunch on holidays. The food and service are always very good.
