What happened Benihana? We confirmed our reservation the day before via Open Table. Got a “thank you” text. Had 7:00pm reservations for the dining room “Teppan communal seating”. On our drive to the restaurant, I get a text saying our table is ready. Very strange as it is 15 min prior to our reservation and we are driving to the restaurant so haven’t yet checked in. Arrive at the check in desk 5 minutes later and try to check in but are told there is no reservation. What??? Gave my phone # and was told I changed my reservation to eat in the lounge/bar. No I didn’t!! This was my birthday dinner and I wanted the main dining area. Was told because of the change, my reservation was cancelled. The 2 “girls” at the front desk acted like they were novice workers and were tongue tied. It appears the change and cancellation happened within 15 minutes prior to my reservation. Fortunately there weren’t many customers (not surprised after this experience) so we were seated soon. However, we were called to be seated and the same hostesses from earlier called the wrong party so we were partially walked to the dining room only to be told there were 2 parties with the same first name and it wasn’t our table. Waited 5 more minutes and got seated with a most enjoyable chef by the name of Saul. He redeemed the experience thus far and made us forget the horrible initial experience. Overall, it appears the summer hire help at the front desk needs better training/supervision.

It was my birthday and we had to wait even with a reservation. Once seated, we had a long wait as well. The server was so good that replaced the anxiety of the wait. Out if all of my visits to Benihana, this was the worst .

Didn’t get seated until after over an hour after our reservation. Waiter took 25 minutes to bring drinks. Forgot to give us forks. And was charging us for stuff we didn’t order. Place was dirty, bathrooms was disgusting. The table and stove top were still dirty when we were brought to the table

Second time visiting this location with a reservation and having to be seated 30-45 minutes later. This recent visit, I had a reservation at 6:30 pm and got seated 7:10 pm. Our server took our orders right away and brought out our drinks, soups, and salad in a timely matter. After that we proceeded to wait 40 minutes, at 8 pm our server informed us that our chef will be over in 5 minutes. 10 minutes passed and no chef arrived, so I walked out with my party and requested to speak to a manager. The manager basically shrugged his shoulders as he said they were overbooked and understaffed, but we never saw a manager while we were waiting for over an hour to inform the whole table. There was a line of people waiting to speak to the manager after we did. If you don’t mind waiting 90+ minutes to be served after your reservation, this is your spot.

We had a very nice time celebrating my granddaughter‘s 14th birthday. She loved it. Our chef was fun and made us laugh. And I must say the lobster rolls are Fuego 🔥
