Mooo was exceptional. The service was great, the food was even better. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from appetizer through dessert. We will definitely be dining here again.
We were a small group located by the door. would have liked it to be a bit warmer and brighter but the food was wonderful! Appetizers: Calamari was crisp and tender, beef dumplings had great flavor and the bolognese was meal-worthy! The steaks were all cooked to perfection and tender, loved the truffle fries and creamed spinach for sides. And did I mention the rolls???? yummy!
Always our favorite place for Sunday brunch!
Food was really good, especially the complimentary little banana muffin they brought us. Way overpriced on some items like the tiny latte at 8$ and the champagne mimosa at 23$.
We made a brunch reservation.
The restaurant has some cool seating options but we had a standard two person table which was fine.
Cocktail options were really great but pricey at $16 to $18
The “minidonuts” were warm but served with a cold sauce that didn’t seem right.
Fritttata with mushrooms and cheese and spinach was fresh and hot and very delicious but more of a scramble than a true frittata. Applewoood bacon was perfect.
Very very thick toast. I liked but husband did not.
Side of potatoes with lots of onions and flavor.
Beef hash dish was wonderful—. Like pulled beef almost with little fat and lots of flavor. Not enough potatoes to balance it.
Overall a very great brunch experience with attentive service.
We went to Moo for Sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday. They did not let us seat at the tables by the window even though there was no one seating there for the entire time we were there. The food was good but service was slow and the food was lukewarm.
We had brunch on Sunday and the food was delicious. The oysters were briny and flavorful, the dumplings were delicious (we were craving them later in the day) and everyone enjoyed the entrees which included the avocado toast, eggs Benedict, corned beef hash and sunny side eggs & ribeye. The warm banana muffins were a treat. Even the cream for the coffee was warmed. Excellent food, excellent service - and their Bloody Mary's aren't bad either. We will definitely return!
Everything was wonderful except the server said happy birthday to the wrong person 3 times. Pretty funny stuff
Wonderful dinner great service but very loud diners all around us
Mooo was the perfect setting for an unforgettable day. Using the OpenTable reservation, I alerted the that I would be proposing to my girlfriend the day of the dinner and they added further to our special day. In addition to amazing food and drink, our dessert featured a candle and "Congratulations!" written in chocolate around the plate. We were also having dinner before seeing a play at the Boston Opera House. It was "old fashioned" week so we each ordered two of the special drinks. The drinks were well balanced and highlighted the ingredients. We enjoyed the meatballs, Wagyu beef dumplings, garganelli with meat sauce, and lobster mac & cheese for our meal. Everything was delicious, unique, and incredible. The rolls were also incredible! The bananas foster was a terrific exclamation point on the meal. We were able to walk to the show and were perfectly full. Thank you, Mooo for an amazing experience!
Excellent dinner and atmosphere. Moo never disappoints
My husband and I came for an afternoon lunch. There were a few couples in the restaurant, but not many. The appetizers we chose were wonderful, so we had very high hopes for the main course. Unfortunately, the steak was over cooked, and very thin with not much flavor. We were definitely disappointed in the fact that this was supposed to be a restaurant specializing in meat. However, like I said, the appetizers were delicious, so we may go back and just choose a few to make a meal out of. The staff was very attentive and courteous, so that would definitely play into our decision to go back.
Quality food, terrible service. From the moment we checked in, waited almost 25 minutes for our table (which we had booked), asked couldn’t get to the bar to get a drink whilst we waited. Once at the table, we ordered bottled water which took another 20 minutes to come. Just terrible service all around
This was our first visit to Mooo, dinner before the Elton John concert. It was very busy and quite loud. We aren’t usually fans of that type of noise level but the service and food were well worth it. Our server was great. Very attentive and knowledgeable. The food, unbelievable!! We started with the roasted bone marrow and steak tartare. Both were very good, however not the best tartare we’ve ever had. The dinner, which we split, tenderloin and lobster was wonderful. The steak was unlike I had ever tasted before, absolute perfection. We will go back again and again.
Hosted a business dinner and everyone had a wonderful time. The food and service were outstanding.
Mooo is the epitome of a fine dining experience. The staff is top notch from the front desk where we were very early for our reservations but still were seated immediately, to the waitstaff who accommodated one of our guest's vegetarian requests and created an appropriate dish from the various vegetables that were found on the menu. The steaks are premier and the Branzino sea bass was as good as you can get in Spezia Italy.
The ambiance is wonderful with low lighting and a quiet cozy atmosphere.
Prices are a bit higher than some other high end restaurants but the experience and food is well worth it.
Lovely dinner before Hamilton! Thanks for the wonderful service, ambiance, and perfectly cooked steals.
Truly exceptional in every way. My first time having Beef Wellington and it blew me away. For four of us to have appetizers, drinks, salad and entree was over $600.
Mooo never disappoints, one of my FAVORITE restaurants ever. The quality of the food is top notch. Among my favorites are the meatballs w/ polenta, waygu beef dumplings and the tuna tartare. While it is a steakhouse, I’ve never had steak there because sooo many other delectable dishes! The desserts are to die for and the Parker House rolls are worth traveling cross-country. Last, but not least, the chef’s sweet treat at the end of the meal, the mallowmar, is divine. Never had anything like it ANYWHERE. If you are in Boston, this establishment is a must!!
Steak was good, but not comparable to other restaurants of this caliber/cost. The steaks (ribeye and sirloin) were both incredibly fatty and tough. However, the side dishes were delicious.
I haven’t been to Mooo in 6+ years. It more than exceeded my expectations. The meatballs might be the best thing on earth!
I have gone to this restaurant numerous times and have always had exemplary service and experience. However this pad experience was lacking in many ways. I ordered drinks and no sooner did I take a sip (delicious), then my food was brought out. No time to enjoy. It was my anniversary and I was hoping for more time to spend. Then when we were going to get another round, there was no one around. So instead of desert there as well (I told the waiter it was our anniversary), we just paid the check and left. The dining room was very quiet, so I expected superb service for the cost of dinner. Too bad as I really enjoyed this place on the past (rant done:).
My boyfriend and I went to Moo after the Red Sox parade and were welcomed immediately. We had a reservation and were able to choose where in the restaurant we wanted to eat. We got the lobster bisque and dumplings for an appetizer which were to die for. As an entree we ordered the salmon, one of the steaks that came with bone marrow butter, and a side of broccoli. Everything was fantastic except for the broccoli which had too many chili flakes on it for our liking, but other than that it was a great time! Would highly recommend!
I was really disappointed. It took the waiter 10 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink. And the service continued to be extremely slow considering it was a Tuesday night. For the price, I was extremely disappointed in the meal. The best part of my meal (salad, steak, three sides and dessert) was the apple tart.
The room was very nice, loved the comfy high backed chairs. Don't understand why a restaurant of this caliber does not have tablecloths. The tables were not very nice and would have really stood out as being worn in different lighting. Our waiter was very professional, attentive and able to accommodate any request. The steaks we ordered were good and we enjoyed the side orders very much. The restaurant went out of their way to make our meal special for my birthday.
Food was amazing however I thought the pricing was a bit high. Ambiance is elegant but not overly done . Service was a little slow initially but picked up after we ordered drinks- I think we came at “rush hour “ and that was why. Overall a good experience.
It was a nice mediocre steak house with a great name and good ambiance. I absolutely expected more. I live in Montana and the beef that I get from my local store and cook myself is a lot cheaper and much more flavorful. You need to think about getting your beef from Montana!
Good service for birthday dinner.
Fantastic service, food and setting. The menu is delightful 😊
I had an amazing time! Our meal was perfect, the service was divine. My only complaint was the table next to us was rude and loud, using a lot of foul language and telling stories that were making me uncomfortable, but that way by no means Mooo's fault!
Excellent as always! The side flight should not be missed!
Great food and service. Fast. Pricey
Fantastic food, beautiful restaurant, it was the perfect way for us to end our weekend.
Best steak dinner ever. Split a steak with family style house sides. Bananas Foster was a decadent finish.
We visited Boston for the first time this weekend. As a family of five with three teenage boys, we were looking for a good brunch with lots of options. Mooo met all of our expectations. Everyone found something to their liking on the menu. The food came quickly and was delicious. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The meal was a bit pricey but was definitely worth it. We will visit again and highly recommend Mooo.
I’ve been to Mooo many times, and this was the first time I was disappointed. My sirloin steak, which was expensive, came out crazy rare and I ordered it medium. I send it back and it came out well done. We ordered truffle fries and they came out barely warm, certainly not hot and they too were over cooked. There were 3 of us and we asked about the portion size on the whipped potatoes and the waiter said “you’ll have more than enough with the small.” This was laughable when the potatoes came, everyone immediately said we should order more, which we did. Lastly, Mooo is the last place you’d expect to be prettily taken advantage of with drinks but two of use ordered sodas which were filled to the top with ice. If you took a few bigs sips, the glass was empty and the waiter right there kept asking “do you want another coke?” We were ASTONISHED at bill time we were being charged $5 per giant glass of ice. The waiter was always right there asking and we definitely felt taken advantage of.
This isn’t the Mooo I know and I should have said something but it was a special occasion where there were more than a few things done poorly.
Awesome service and great food. Ambience a little dark for my taste.
Having been him before I knew I would be having a great dinner with exceptional service and food.
Went for 30th w family. Great drinks and quality steaks. Steaks seemed overpriced but I’m no expert.
Going out with an old friend, turning corners in our lives so we came to mooo to celebrate and they sure did deliver. Bravo
