Restaurant was evicted. I had planned a celebration for 8 people and made reservations in advance. No email, call, text, bat signal, nothing. Super awesome to see my family's face when we walked up to the place. The sidewalk was warm and welcoming, I would say however that the feeling of crushing embarrassment did temper the overall ambiance a bit.

I'm appalled that I was able to make a reservation at a business that was not open on Tuesday the 22nd. I booked this place to take my family for their special 20th anniversary and had to end up at a crappy place because this was closed

What amazing food. My friends and I didn't quite know what to expect but as soon as we opened the door and the smell hit us we knew we'd picked a good place. The servers were attentive and the food was authentic and full of flavour. Recommended ordering the peppered lamb starter.

We had a party of 12 to celebrate a birthday. The staff handled all of us very well, food came out hot and fresh (not to mention delicious!), and were very accommodating. The chef specialty curries are delicious, we didn't feel the need to try the more North Indian "typical" options they'd added to the menu. The dosas were also delicious and authentic. We chose Kokum because we had a wide variety of people (some who ate mostly meat) and Kokum had meat options in curries and dosas, which worked out best for us.

Way overpriced food that is unremarkable. It's not that the food is bad, it's just not interesting or complicated as South Asia food should be. Service was excellent.

Awful. Took a cab to get there and arrived a few minutes before our reservation. They couldn't fulfill the reservation and told us it was our fault for making it at the last minute. We suggested that they should close reservations on open table if they get busy and can't fulfill them. The guy was rude and told us we should go elsewhere.

Enjoyed everything we ordered. The dosa masala was a good value and generous portion. We had that as an appetizer and then a chicken curry as an entree that was delicious. I plan to go back. Had not particularly noticed this place until Yelping the options in the area.

The rest of the food is amazing as well, not just dosas, but the dosas are out of this world! It's not your usual run-of-the-mill Indian cuisine. The only complaint I have was the noise level of the surrounding tables, but that is not the fault of the restaurant. Dosas were crispy, very filling, and come with a variety of dipping sauces. The vegetable biryani was very flavorful. Our appetizer of breaded eggplant was good - crispy with a sweet dipping sauce -- although it was a small portion. All in all, a delicious meal.

I LOVE Kokum. In a neighborhood full of Indian restaurants, this one is truly a gem. They specialize in South Indian cuisine and the flavors are delicate and subtle, even if you order something a bit spicy. My favorite is the fish moilee. Try it out, even if you're not a fish lover. The coconut flavoring is so delicious, but not overpowering. After visiting Kerala in India, I was craving certain dishes and this restaurant was my savior. The service is excellent and if you get there early for dinner, it's not too crowded. I recommend making a reservation though, because they do fill up, as it's a small space. Definitely GO here if you have the chance.

Excellent South Indian food - this coming from a person who as born and grew up in Bangalore!! I particularly liked the chicken chettinad and the avail. The tarka dal, although not particularly South Indian was also great. I am looking forward to returning to the restaurant to try their other dishes. I have already recommended the restaurant to a couple of people.

If you want overpriced ($20 for 5 tiny pieces of meat in a curry, with no rice) and mediocre food in a cramped space, then go here. The chicken wasn't even mixed properly with the gravy and the paratha was hard as rock (almost as if it had been microwaved).

Food is great. But to enjoy the food you need a proper ambiance. That is lacking. The crunched up tables and the space to serve food is extremely poor.
