   Lovely ambiance, friendly and attentive waitstaff, decent prices ... but the food didn't blow me away. It was good but not great--just not as flavorful as it sounded on the menu. Others might feel differently .

   One of my favorite local restaurants. The menu has some tried and trues, but always has new and creative options. The service is excellent but does not hurry the experience. The only uneven factor is the noise level-- it depends on who is in the room and how loud they are.

   Excellent food. Fresh and made after we ordered. Great service. I had mushroom ravioli and it was perfect. The salad had great cheese and homemade dressing.

   Quieter than it has been on previous occasions which was great because we had a larger group and everyone wanted to be able to hear everyone's conversation. Food was excellent as always. Always wish that the beer menu was more extensive, particularly the porters and stouts. Luckily, they have started serving liquor, albeit as just a signature drink, but one of my party only drink liquor,so it saved me. Will be back

   The restaurant was not very busy, but it took forever for them to bring out our appetizer. Also I ordered the flank steak and my wife ordered roast, both were overcooked. It seems like Sun In My Belly has great recipes, but doesn't have cooks capable of making the dishes how they are supposed to be made. The food was really tasty, and I'm sure other nights are probably really good, but our experience was disappointing.

   I chose Sun in my Belly because we were heading to a play in Decatur. I had never been to this restaurant. It was absolutely delicious! I am vegetarian but my husband is not. I had the Vegetable dish of the day which was a delicious frittata with corn and zucchini in it as well as delicious root vegetables on top. I loved the restaurant decor and pretty antiques, too! I can't wait to go back and I believe it will be worth the drive for me! We live in Dunwoody and it took us an hour in traffic on a Friday night. On a less-traffic time, I hope it will only be 30 minutes.

    Sun in my Belly never disappoints! My favorites are the salmon and the short ribs, but I've never had a less than stellar meal there! The brunch menu is amazing as well!

    The food at SIMB is really wonderful. The four of us can recommend the flank steak, miso glazed salmon, fried green tomato sandwich, and the house special meatloaf on foccacia. The coffee creme brulee was to-die-for. The salads were ho-hum. The staff is young and enthusiastic...so wonderful! The indoor decor is modern and open. It's inviting and cozy at night...can be quite romantic. During the day, the decor may come across as spartan. Alas, the outside of this wonderful cafe is the pits! Unless you are fortunate enough to grab one of the 8 parking spaces in front of the cafe, you'll have to walk around the building. The huge windows of the storage, cleaning and kitchen areas are uncovered so you'll get any eyeful of crates, cleaning supplies, pots and pans, etc. The back is a mess. We're not talking rustic items with character and history...it's more like walking through someone's broom closet. One beautiful set of linen drapes in each window would improve the cafe immensely.

    I would highly recommend it of brunch, but not for dinner. The portions were very small and grossly overpriced. No bread or salad were included with the meal either. My bill was $71.00 (including the tip) and we left feeling hungry and very disappointed. I won't be back for dinner.

    This is my husband and Myself second time here. The first time we went my trout was good. This time it was bland. I was so disappointed that I asked a waitress if there was a different chef that cooked it. She said maybe cause they have more than one chef. My husband dish was delicious ..the pork tenderloin..There were flies and knats flying around on both visits..What's up that?

    The food was amazing and all of the wait staff we spoke with were kind. However, we never actually knew who our waiter/waitress was. The hostess brought our water, manager took our appetizer and drink order, someone different brought that out, we had to flag down a waitress to take our entree order, and no one checked in on us. Overall the experience was good and I will definitely be back but there is room for improvement.

    The food was excellent. I had the trout and my husband had the braised ribs. The sauces were so good that I wanted to lick the plate. The downside of this restaurant is it's not really nice inside. More than once A train passes by blowing it's horn and it is so loud that all the customers would stop and look toward the window. I had a discounted code for our meal. I wouldn't pay full price because of the location ( hard to find parking) and the ambiance. I would go again using a discount.

    Disappointing. We came as a party of 8, and half our party's orders came out incorrect. One vegetarian even received crab cakes in a dish that was supposed to have fried green tomatoes -- yikes! The waitstaff was ernest, but overwhelmed, even though the place wasn't full. The food is good, if you receive what you ordered, but overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience. I used to count this as my favorite restaurant in Atlanta, but now I'm not sure I would recommend it.

    Terrible experience. Extremely loud dining room and it wasn't that crowded. Waited an hour for entrees and again, it wasn't crowded. My mom ordered ribs and was brought something that looked more like a roast; not sure what it was. My dish was supposed to come with a baguette (seafood stew jam). The bread didn't come with it. When I asked, the server said she would bring me some. It clearly states on the menu that it comes with bread. I had to wait a very long time for it and was told this was because the kitchen burned it so they were baking more. The food here is usually really really good. The service is always deplorable for brunch for dinner is usually ok.

    Had purchased a Scoutmob having been here before and enjoyed it. The food was great as usual, but the service really started to slow as more people came in to eat. Appetizer and salad courses cam out quickly, but then we really had to wait quite awhile for our entrees and additional drinks and then finally for the dessert which we ended up taking to go. They could improve their craft beer selections by adding more stouts and porters. I know it is summer, but my husband and I like these styles the best!

    The experience at Sun in My Belly was flawless from start to finish. We were greeted quickly and courteously. They noted that we were on a date and took us to a side table by a window, without even being asked, so we could enjoy a more private dining experience. The waitress was prompt, able to answer all of our questions, provided suggestions when asked, and checked on us with the perfect amount of frequency. Outstanding service aside, the food here was amazing. I haven't had a meal taste so fresh, outside of my own home, in years. The salad was unpretentious but packed a bouquet of flavors that danced together in perfect harmony on my tastebuds and the entree... A cocoa & espresso rubbed 4 oz portion of short ribs that was packed with flavor, served off the bone, and practically melted in your mouth. The side dishes, parmesan mashed potatoes and maple glazed bacon brussel sprouts, were nearly equally as phenomenal. If you haven't been here yet, you must go. If you have been here before, I guarantee you are planning to go back.

    Came here to celebrate a birthday with a group of 10 people. The staff was all so wonderful and friendly. From the minute we walked in the door until the moment we left. Everybody's food was absolutely delicious and I would recommend it to anyone. I like their dinner more than their breakfast but that's not to say anything negative about their breakfast...their dinner is just that good. So delicious! And very well priced. I plan on coming back to Sun In My Belly again soon.
