Absolutely delicious! By far our best meal in Nashville
Service was extremely slow, although our server was very nice. I think she had too many tables to cover, so I felt sorry for her. Wine selection not good. We actually had to send two bottles back. We expected a typical chardonnay from Napa, but they were not good. I've never sent two bottles back before. We settled for a glass of another white wine, which was fair. Food was actually good. Just need better service and wine selection.
It was fun to sit at the counter and observe the prep and cooking by the staff. Also an informal way to meet other guests dining and share. The person next to us had returned for the roasted cauliflower.
Great taste and combinations of flavors! My wife was reluctant to share!
Ed was amazing! Described everything perfectly! Thank you ed for making the experience so wonderful. Food was outstanding!
Creative cuisine. Beautiful space. Great service. Interesting drinks.
Salad was over-dressed, main course had temperature inconsistencies. Could be a spectacular experience with better attention to detail.
Wanted to give it higher rating because the people were so nice but apps and entrees were just so-so. Great cocktails and desserts though.
After reading many glowing reviews, we were looking forward to our Etch meal but the food was generally underwhelming. We felt the chef was "trying to hard to impress" by creating dishes with more and more ingredients, rather than doing certain things well. Also, there was a general temperature problem with the food (more below). From a value perspective, I have no problem paying a lot for great food but felt the portions, along with the general lack of fit and finish of the dishes, didn't warrant the prices (and we're used to Manhattan & Boston prices).
We started with the bread, which Etch charges for... no problem there but it was nondescript. The sourdough didn't really have much flavor and was semi-cold. The two accompany butters were okay but not something that I felt warranted the fanfare and description of them. They were butter... flavored and decent... but really nothing special.
For a shared app, we opted for the charcuterie. It was decent - the meats and salad were good. The fried oyster mushrooms were cold and were just all batter - you had no idea there was a mushroom underneath the cold, fried batter.
For dinner, we had the steak and scallops. The steak was cooked well and had a good char. Nice steak for a non steakhouse. The accompanying brussells sprouts were mostly inedible though as more than half of them were so undercooked that they bordered on raw. The potato on top of the steak was lukewarm and was topped with ice cold (like, from the refrigerator) pea and carrot puree.
My wife got the scallops and they were good - but also a very small portion. The temp of the scallops was borderline , with the center being cold and the rice underneath was cold. We sat at the counter looking at the kitchen so the food came right out but the temp, especially on the sides, were cold to lukewarm.
Veal meatballs not to my liking. Corvina delicious.
Great staff, our waitress was EXCELLENT. Food amazing !
Amazing food. Every single thing we ate was fantastic & beautifully prepared.
Our waiter was so impressive. He explained the menu, made great recommendations not only with food, but wine too. From appetizers to dessert it was a flavor explosion in your mouth. Definitely coming back.
Great service and wonderful food! We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and loved it!
There was an issue with the Valet Parkers. Told my guest to basically park them leslie’s ignored me. I love this restaurant hate the parking company
Always LOVE the food and the experience at Etch.
Dined before our night at the Grand Ol Opry and the Ryman.
The food was wonderful. The roasted cauliflower tasted delicious and there is plenty to share. The beef tenderloin was 1 of the best ever.
It was delicious
This was our favorite restaurant experience in Nashville by far. Food was amazing and delightful.
Our only comment is that service felt rushed, as it did in most of the restaurants in Nashville. We are not used to this here in the SF Bay area of California.
Wonderful dinner and drinks. Thank you, Amy for wonderful service and thank you, Anthony for great drinkS.
The food at lunch was simply not up to par, based on my past visits. Disappointing.
Chrissy Brown is always a top knot head waitperson!
The exceptional food was eclipsed only by the reasonable prices. We would have easily spent TWICE as much at similar restaurants. Three dollars for a scoop of homemade ice cream w/ a special treat? Unheard of, esp in a downtown like Nashville. We paid more at the Honky Tonks for substandard food and drinks.
The food was creative and a real experience. The server was well-versed on the different entrees and made us feel very confident in our selections. Everyone we encountered seemed to really like working at Etch. We got the cashew chicken breast and the Argentinian beef tenderloin. The former came with brown rice and a black bean hoisin sauce that were interesting and tasty accompaniments. The beef came with fried potato salad -- right? I never heard of it either -- and I was in heaven.
Service was attentive, and the ambience very relaxing and inviting. Highly recommend!
It was AWESOME.
Cocktails are fun, and spot-on. Each starter and entree I had contained multiple fun/delicious components, which I really slowed down to enjoy. I went twice, both servers were wonderful and fully knowledgeable and quite friendly. (Scallops and octopus were done to perfection, steak carpaccio was perfect, and the lemon-buttermilk ice cream was ridiculous.)
I was very impressed by the creative menu that just had flavors jumping in my mouth. The food was incredibly delicious and tasty.
Great experience and food - just off Broadway and tucked away from the noise! Would definitely recommend and would come back again.
So glad I went there. Scallops were out of this world. The carpaccio was so tasty. Highly recommend.
Great food, excellent cauliflower appetizer
You can tell that care was taken in creation, preparation and completion of these meals. As a restaurant owner, I appreciate this. Everything was phenomenal. First time in Nashville and one of only two restaurants we went to. Glad we did.
Split the filet and a piece of fish with my wife. They were both perhaps the best pieces of meat we have ever had. The cauliflower appetizer is a must.
Great place to go whenever in Nashville.
Great food . We went for a birthday. It was a great night
Absolutely delicious with amazing tastes. Excellent service and a table that allowed us great conversation. I love Etch!
This is one of the best restaurants in the USA. I Always book a reservation as soon as I know I have to be in Nashville. Food never disappoints.
always find the food and drinks outstanding. I take out of town company here and they always rave about it too. Service great. I love going here
Great food , Great Service
Birthday, waitress remembered and made our night!
A MUST when in Nashville. Incredible food, setting and service.
Sat at the bar. Excellent, attentive service. Star of the night was the Lemon Buttermilk ice cream.
The food was incredible!
Our fourth time here over the past 4 years. Always special. Great service and the food was fantastic. We brought our own wine and our server treated it like we bought the most expensive bottle on their wine list
A special thanks to Delaney our server
Will be back the next tine we are in Nashville
Still my favorite restaurant in Nashville. The food and service are always top notch. Thank you, Chef!
Absolutely incredible in every way. This is the only place we've ever found that understands what a pepper allergy is. They modified recipes for us and the waitress knew the menu with incredible detail. We have never felt so comfortable at a restaurant, trying new things. I would recommend this place to anyone with food sensitivities. They went out of their way to be sure it was all safe!
