Loved it, will tell everyone back home in Australia to put it on their NYC bucket list!
The food is great, the performances are amazing. Such an overall feel good and inspiring experience. We go at least once a year and it's always great.
Really nice Brunch-gospel! Singers were amazing and the food ok!
Ginny’s is usually very good, but on this particular Saturday night (10/27/18) my food was served cold and the service was unacceptably slow!
I left disappointed and so did my out of town guest!
Train delayed my arrival time by nearly 20 minutes---they held my reservation and were warm and friendly when I did arrive.
Received an unrequested apology for haven taken so long to bring my crab cakes.
The drinks and crab cakes were delicious.
The wait staff is refreshingly professional
I highly recommend Ginny's
Was truly disappointed with the experience. Was expecting actual gospel versus a short mediocre off Broadway show showcasing admittedly talented young singers. Obviously set up for tourists - I should have paid more attention to reviews. Beware if you have food allergies. The buffet is definitely not set up to accomodate.
A must do for anyone visiting New York. It was a great way to experience Harlem. Highly recommend!!!
Went there for my birthday with several friends. We split the dinner for 2 between 3 people. It was all delicious. Music was fun and we all had a great time. We will be back.
Good music, Good food, Good times...the service was excellent
Very nice atmosphere. A couple of the dishes where a little too salty and the buffet didn’t have everything out all at once so I would have missed an opportunity to taste everything they had to offer had i not gone up for desert. The waitress was attentive upon arrival but hard to get anyone’s attention during and after show and even to collect the check. The singing was phenomenal. There to celebrate a birthday of two loved one, they both enjoyed as well and we would all recommend anyone to go there to Ginny’s to be apart of this unique experience.
Plentiful Sunday buffet and the gospel singers and band were excellent, full of energy, and did everything from 'Amazing Grace' to 'Happy'
The gospel brunch was wonderful! Go!
We did 8:45pm dinner reservations and had an upfront table for the jazz show that started at 9:00pm. It was absolutely electric very soulful and upbeat in a dark and sexy speakeasy environment. The food was to die for as well especially the cornbread lol. I had the hot and sweet friend chicken with greens and mashed potatoes and of course a side of the Mac & greens (don’t knock it until you try it).
Great music food and atmosphere
Good concept and jazz band.
My wife started with chicken and waffles while I had the crab cakes. The flavors of both appetizers were good, but the chicken was under cooked and the crab cakes weren't evenly cooked on both sides.
Entrees included prime rib for her and shrimp and grits for me. The steak wasn't very thick, but it was cooked to desred temperature. Unfortunately the vegetable side dish was too salty. It had to be sent back. Both the server and manager addressed the issue to our satisfaction. On the second attempt the entree was seasoned perfectly. The shrimp and grits had large pieces of shrimp which didn't disappoint. However the grits we're lumpy.
It was a busy Friday night at the Red Rooster, but Ginny's was not. Given the celebrity of the owner and the Michelin Guide listing I expected higher food preparation standards and quality control.
Amazing ... amazing.... amazing!!!
Gospel Brunch- Performance was great, food was average.
Great waitress- great food - great band
We attended the Gospel brunch and really enjoyed the choir. The food was buffet food...which was ok but the menu items are much better. It’s definitely worth the experience though.
Great get together for friends. The music was excellent and the performer really got the audience involved.
Entertainment was excellent. The band was great. Food ok. The hostess that greeted us was with Red Rooster. Very rude. There was one hostess stand. This was our first visit. We don’t know where to go. Told us to step aside the other hostess came and simply ignored us and took everyone behind us until we said something. No apologies. Bad 1st impression. Then the waitress took forever to service us. If not for the entertainment i would say pass.
Had a girl's night out and enjoy it very much. The Jazz band was wonderful and so energetic. The food was great and so were the drinks.
The atmosphere in this cool, speakeasy style club and the entertainment (Judi Jackson) was the highlight but the food, drinks and service were also outstanding! The Fried Bird Royale was great and included buttermilk fried whole chicken, mac & greens, biscuits, red velvet waffle, hot honey, pickles, foie gras butter.
We would definitely go again. Memorable night out!
Great atmosphere and even better food. The cover charge seems like a deterrent, but it was well worth it! Blues while eating dinner - awesome!
Gospel Brunch entertainment is excellent! Most of the food on the buffet was good.
The food, the choir, all incredible! So happy we went!
Great live music the night we were there but the food from Ginny’s / Red Rooster was never great - and it just gets worse. Dry corn bread, crab cakes frozen in the middle. We waited throughout the entire music set before we actually got the food - and they didn’t even get the order right. Somehow, the complementary broccoli just didn’t make up for it.
The band was amazing! So fun and energetic. It was called King something. I would definitely come back for the fun atmosphere. Crab cakes were great! Fried chicken was excellent too.
We had a wonderful time, but our entrees didn’t arrive until the last song of the set. Servers were apologetic. Food was fantastic.
Fantastic dinner and experience.
I am a fan of Chef Marcus and was determined to check out his restaurant while I was in New York. Everything was excellent! Johnny O'Neal was awesome, the food was awesome, the ambiance was awesome and our servers were awesome! Great experience.
It was a great experience to know Gospel and have some fun. Amazing singers great atmosphere!
We booked in for the Sunday Brunch prior to leaving Australia and was not disappointed, loved it especially the music
A wonderful experience of Harlem culture that we are very grateful to have seen... A fantastic buffet brunch with lots of choices and the Harlem singing choir were fabulous. Highly recommend
Absolutely FABULOUS!!! I truly became emotional watching and listening to
The Harlem Gospel Choir. Will return real soon.
Amazing brunch and Such a great experience, can definitely recommend’
I created a forever memory choosing Ginnt's Supper Club for my birthday celebration. The food, the love jazz, the staff, the ambiance...everything was excellent.
The food was amazing and the music was awesome. My new favorite place! Make sure to buy tickets to the show online to make it easier and faster to enter.
Life experience for those not familiar to gospel, Amazing atmoshere, next time i visit NYC I will definitely pay a visit to this place again.
There was quite a long wait to get seated, despite a reservation, and an exceedingly long time to get our salad and entrée. WE have been here before and do not recall either occurring on the past. Short, but excellent, set by Solomon Hicks
