Dyrons Low country
Joined by Executive Chef, Randall Baldwin, they opened Dyron’s Lowcountry Restaurant in Mountain Brook to share their love for the culinary offerings of the region. It’s a place for those who have been to revisit their memories and refresh their pallets and a place for those who have never been to get an authentic taste of the unique foods.
My wedge salad had thousand island dressing of sorts...it wasn't as good as the blue cheese of the past. There was very little bacon on it and my lettuce was swimming in dressing. My burger was overcooked. Not as tasty as it could have been.
We probably end up having Sunday lunch/brunch here once every three or four weeks, and as usual we thoroughly enjoyed our visit this Sunday. The teamwork by the employees is impressive; I eventually lost count of the number of servers who stopped by our table to offer a water refill, etc. And, our meals were fabulous.
Great food and ambiance, I recommend it to local patrons as well as out of town visitors. It never disappoints!
Wonderful food and great atmosphere...everyone in our party of 7 loved their meal!
Great food as always. Great atmosphere and fun bar
Always a favorite when I come through Birmingham. Great food, every time
Outstanding food Outstanding service Outstanding ambiance Drove from Tuscaloosa Worth the drive
Outstanding as always!
Everything was delicious but as I had previously written the fish porting was very small. My husband had to eat some of my dinner to have enough to eat.
What a fabulous brunch! I had issues the first time here, but they have definitely been resolved. This was an excellent meal, from start to finish. The wait and service staff were friendly and went out of their way to make the meal enjoyable. And the food was perfect. All four in our party enjoyed their meals, starting with the biscuits. They were so good, and came with wonderful butter and jam. The appetizers we ordered were gobbled down, and we all loved our entrees, particularly the fried chicken and crab omelet. We will definitely be back soon!
Ordered fried shrimp and it was HORRIBLE
Great food and service
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal
It was fun to try this restaurant
We love Dyron's. One of the top restaurants in Birmingham. ...Maybe my favorite.
Some of the best food I've had in Mountain Brook! Our waiter, John, was exceptional and so knowlegable about the menu, as well as beverage pairings. I'll definitely be back!
Love all the food! Waiters are great and love their brunch! 🥂
Always delivers. Service, brunch variety, pleasant and delicious.
We have visited many many times and decided to take our son and friend who live in another state while they were here visiting.
It was so incredibly loud we had trouble talking. Our food was “good” but a full notch under what we usually experience. We ordered two desserts (our friends request because she LOVES dessert). We had bread pudding (pathetic- flat, tasteless and very small for the price ) and peach cobbler (tasted like scanned peaches and LOTS of flour- no taste at all) We didn’t even eat half the dessert it was so bad. Dyrons has been in our favorite list for a long time -not sure we will go back after this experience.
We took my in-laws there for their first visit and they loved it! Everything was very fresh and delicious!
Great local restaurant with seating for any occasion. Try the Grilled Oysters if they have them on the menu. You will not be sorry! But baked are just as good. Also, the marinated Blue Crab Claws are amazing as well. Even if we're on a diet, there are still many options to choose from. But if you're not, choose anything on the menu that includes the stone ground grits! Shrimp & Grits can't be beat.
On a weekend night, the place is hopping. But you can request a quiet corner for private conversation.
The food was phenomenal. Our vendors from Cincinnati could not stop raving about it
Dyrons never disappoints! I have eaten here numerous times and have always experienced great service and a quality dining experience. The menu offers a variety of choices that are always fresh and perfectly prepared. The gulf seafood appetizer was delicious as was the marinated crab claws. The snapper with lump crab meat over grits was amazing. My husband had the farmer's market summer vegetables and it was amazing! My son loved the Yellowfin Tuna too. The piece de resistance was the bread pudding for dessert!!!
Excellent food and service. We will be back again soon!
As always, Dyrons was excellent! The food and service were outstanding. Everything was thoroughly enjoyed by our party of 5 that ranged in age from 13 to 77. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
The food was fabulous but the service was terrible. I will have to say it was the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant.
Delicious food and we were able to have a conversation. Moderate noise level.
superb. Food is delicious, service is outstanding. All you do is catch your server's eye, and he or she is there! all tables full on a Wednesday at 7pm....still felt like a VIP
Our entire evening was spectacular. The food was delicious and the service superb. Everyone should try the grilled fish over grits with the green beans. And. The White chocolate bread pudding. It is my my favorite.
Everything was excellent!!
Consistently good service and great food. Not a place to rush thru a meal.
Food was delicious. They have the best burger I have ever eaten. The meals are expensive. This restaurant is a great place to take your friends for a special occasion.
Our snapper and steak were cooked to perfection. The waiter was very attentive.
We had never been to Dyrons before and we went to the Sunday brunch. I had the crab meat omelet and my wife had the cheeseburger and both were outstanding! The Blueberry/Peach Cobbler was soooo good! Tommy our server was fantastic! We are now planing to go back and try their dinner menu.
Great Brunch! Our first trip for Sunday Brunch with the family.
Excellent dinner and service. My husband and I will make this one of our regular restaurants to have our dinner dates.
First time eating at Dyron’s and I’ll be back. Tom was an excellent and personable waiter, the iron skillet red snapper was the best fish dish I have had in Bham, and the white chocolate bread pudding was great.
We were meeting the mother of our son's girlfriend for the first time, so it was a special night. I had heard good things about Dyron's and my second home is anywhere in South Carolina. I consulted there for more than 20 years. We ordered several appetizers, salads, and entrees which were all very good. But to be frank, the bill was extremely high. I am used to eating at very expensive restaurants but the dinner and ambiance here was just not in line with the final bill. I would recommend it but with that caution.
Dyron’s is one of my favorite dining locations! I recommend it!
Very good food. Was pretty noisy- had trouble hearing each other talk at times
Sautéed red snapper so over cooked it took a knife to cut it. I complained without satisfaction.
