I have never eaten brunch at Mrs. Murphy’s before and I absolutely loved the food! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time eating the Carnivore Omelette and the Irish Breakfast. The mimosas were also delicious!

We went on a Sunday evening, and had a nice time. The parking lot made it easy for us as we didn't have to find street parking. Nice ambiance, good food, and quiet enough where we were to hold a normal conversation. We're looking forward to going back!

It has a beautiful bar area, and they had great live music when we were there. Service was ultimately fine with it maybe erring a little on the slow side. The food was OK. The white fish schmear or whatever it was (an appetizer) was DELICIOUS. The Sheperd's pie and fried chicken thighs with colcannon we're good except both were under-seasoned. Both dishes were better once we added salt, and in the case of the chicken thighs, squeezed the lemon wedge it was served with over everything. Then, both dishes were great. The side of Guinness mac 'n cheese was like 95% of other mac 'n cheeses when you order it while out, in that, they don't use a strong enough cheese to give it that tang you desire. If they mixed in some sharp or extra sharp cheddar with whatever cheese they use, it'd have GREAT depth of flavor. All in all, we're planning on returning, just don't expect "mind-blowing" food.

We had a family dinner for about 14 people, which included two children age 3. The kids loved the music and there was room for them to walk around. I wasn't expecting much except pub food because I had not eaten there. My niece recommended it. was surprised how good the food was and would definitely go back!

Nobody in the entire place at 7:30 Saturday night. Busboy was most attentive. We saw the waiter 3 times; to place our order, to offer us dessert and one last time with our bill. The busboy brought water, beverages, bread basket and our meal. Food was mediocre and bland though servings were generous. Overall a minimally average experience.

We don't get to go out often so when we do, we want a place where we will have a "guaranteed" good meal, great service, fun atmosphere. Mrs. Murphy's is our place for that. We arrived to live music (always a plus). We sat near the fireplace (2 thumbs up). Our service was super fast, and according to my wife/ partner in crime, the cranberry Irish mule is totally worth it. She had the corned beef and found it to be delicious. I had the beef stew. My only complaint is that they used to have short ribs, which I loved. So while this seems to be a replacement for that dish, I was a bit disappointed.

We were shuttled into a very small upstairs room with a TV showing a motocross race. I asked our waiter if he could put the NCAA tournament on as no one was watching the race. He said someone downstairs was probably watching the race and it couldn't be changed. I learned later he just didn't want to go downstairs, because when we asked for lemon for the fish, he said it would take 10 minutes because it was downstairs. When I went downstairs and asked if they could change the channel they said no problem and did so quickly. He never brought water to the table, I had to go to the bar to get it. Nor did he ever say anything about what was on the menu or showed any interest in much besides getting our order. After our meal rather than ask if we were interested in dessert he asked if we were ready for our check. when he brought the credit card receipt for my signature I realized there was a 20% gratuity added to the bill. We were a party of 4 so it wasn't a group thing. this was never mentioned on the menu or by him or anyone else prior to the charge. I generally give 20% but expect good service. As for the food it was okay but not what I would call noteworthy, mac and cheese side was watery. Won't go back. would advise others to try chief O'Neil's or another Irish restaurant for better food and service.

Food - AWESOME! Authentic and tasty. Service - not awesome. The food runner was delightful and came to the table more often than the server did, had to ask for water, refills, etc. from the runner. Server also kept $60 worth of change on a total $55 tab and had to be asked for it back. But the atmosphere was beautiful and very Irish and the food was delicious. We may have simply had a poor server, as everyone else around us seemed to have excellent service.

We came for a St. Patrick's Day meal. We were shocked to find a place that took reservations for that day. This is definitely a neighborhood, family place. Lots of kids & strollers. Live music was great. Food was tasty, just not very hot which is never good for soup or shepherd's pie. Our server was friendly and fast. My big complaint was that they added 20% gratuity to our bill for 4 people. I understand it was St. Pat's & I understand why they do it, just mention it. We certainly didn't expect it or look for it, so our server ended up with about a 50% tip.

Not only does the restaurant serve good Irish food, but the live music on Tuesday evenings is wonderful. It has everything you need for good craic! And in a side room of the restaurant is a small Irish market with wonderful food items to take home with you. It's a priceless "taste" of Ireland in the neighborhood.

I suggest avoiding the “special” - my dad and I both opted for what the menu said was a roast bacon - and the waiter described as pork but in essence was two extremely thick slices of bacon which was mostly fat and extremely salty. Our experience with “bacon” in Ireland has been something resembling ham but this was very American bacon. Totally yuck and really inedible - looked like they were trying to get rid of virtually inedible leftovers. On a positive note both the beef stew and shepherds pie were great, but given our extremely disappointing experience with the special I doubt we’ll be back as you need to be sure the food is consistent...and this wasn’t, so sorry.
