[OE. viniterie, from OF. vinotier, vinetier, wine merchant.] After years of delivering excellent wine at Harry’s, Vintry provides an outlet for a Poulakakos family specialty - great wines, especially old world producers. The marriage of wine and whiskey in one concept was derived from the artisan nature of both beverages. With both wines and whiskeys, the earth, as well as the aging process, distillation & fermentation determine the intricate flavors of the beverage. They are both handcrafted libations. I had been here quite a few times for lunch but never over dinner. I did not like sharing our table with other strangers and the music was too loud. Food is always amazing and the drinks are awesome.

I had a business meeting with a potential client who favors Port Wine. Vintry has a nice selection of wine overall, and several ports that were excellent.

Had a relaxed and very nice tapas dinner here. Good choice on offer (we did the papas braves, the braised short ribs and pincho baby back ribs). There's a large selection of wines and whiskies by the glass to choose from and reasonably priced for NYC. Food was tasty, served nicely and not overpriced. Staff were friendly and attentive. We sat inside at the window seats, as it was a really hot evening and outside was packed - Stone Street is a great location for eateries and places to drink. There was a nice ambience inside and a lively fun atmosphere outside. Great place to people watch and to meet friends for dinner or just a drink. Will eat here again!

Great atmosphere, but no happy hour in an area where everyone specifically goes for happy hour considering it is in the financial district.

Loved it! Going back again when we are in town again in a few weeks. The bar stools could be a bit more comfortable. Great food and wine!
