Vallozzi's started over 50 years ago when Helen Vallozzi was selling homemade pastas out of her home. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh. Vallozzi's Pittsburgh has recently joined a mere 1,200 restaurants worldwide as a recipient of the Wine Spectator Magazine's Best of Award of Excellence and is the only Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh to receive such an honor. We can host your intimate date, family dinner, business meetings, or larger parties in our banquet room. Or come enjoy a specially made cocktail in our bar area and a small bite.

                                                                            Was seated as soon as we arrived. Our waiter Anthony was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable about the menu took time to talk to our 6 year old daughter (doesn't happen often in nicer restaurants) checked In on us regularly but not over bearing. The food was excellent and very generous portions as well! Highly recommend!

                                                                            I highly recommend Vallozzi's. We were a group of 4 who were in Pittsburgh for a concert. We found Vallozzi's online and decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in the door, we were made to feel welcome. Our server was excellent in every way. The ambiance was beautiful and the noise level was quiet. Each of our meals was absolutely delicious. Vallozzi's is definitely worth a try if you're in the Pittsburgh area.

                                                                            I'm a fairly frequent visitor to Vallozzi's, and was excited to showcase one of Pittsburgh's great restaurants with an out-of-town visitor. While the food was great, our service left a lot to be desired. We were quickly greeted by our server and then abandoned to the point we had to flag him down to place our drink and food orders (both placed at same time because we waited so long). Waited for first round of drinks which arrived after bread service. Took a while for dinner and ordered another round of drinks; had to flag waiter down to bring them, which was after being close to being done with dinner. Never saw waiter again until he cleared plates and asked, "Anything else?". This is not the service I come to expect from the team at Vallozzi's. I observed other servers that were much more engaged with their tables and guests and provided much better service. Would I go back? Absolutely, however, I'd make sure I didn't get the same server or sit at the bar, where there is always great service.
