    An old favorite that has been missed! Introduced some true Italians to IL Bistro and the Delauranti Market near by...perfect night. We were planning for appetizers, salad, entrees and dessert but we tried so many appetizers that we just need dessert and coffee to finish. Delicious food, attentive staff and cosy atmosphere before a Benaroya show.

    The location is a little tricky but once we found it we were glad that we did. Food was good, food was served fast and service was for the most part good. Would definitely go back

    We elected to eat in the bar because we arrived too early, relative to our reservation. Apparently someone on the staff had to leave unexpectedly so, in fairness, the service was as good as could be expected, even in the bar. We made it clear we had to leave at a certain time but had trouble getting someone's attention to get our bill or our carry out box. Finally, we just left cash on the table and left without our leftovers.... We understand being unexpectedly short-staffed but since we only ordered from the happy hour menu, made our time frame known and didn't even try to get seated in the dining room (per our reservation), we felt a little disappointed. We will come back, however.

    The ambiance and service were great. We took a friend there who we hadn’t seen in a while and had a wonderful time. The setting is charming and cozy. Two of us came from a prior event and were running late and the staff couldn’t have been nicer about it. The portions were huge. Even the 6’4” man in our party was hard pressed to finish his meal. We all had salads and a main course, took three boxes home. Wished we could have tried more things but were just too full. The food was delicious, though.

    It was SO DARK. Food was great but hard to eat as we couldn’t see. Also our server smoked and didn’t wash before coming back to our table, and we struggled with drinks (other than water) being empty. But the actual food was amazing.

    We were a party of 4 at Il Bistro for Seattle's restaurant week. Overall, the experience was underwhelming for the price we paid. The service was very slow, it took over an hour between the time we arrived and getting our salad. My friend tried to order cocktail several times while waiting but couldn't find our waiter. My NY steak was 'well done' despite I asked for 'medium'. My wife's salmon was dry. Finally, the restaurant includes a 4.5% surcharge that's easy to miss on the bill.

    Will not be back, our waitress forgot to bring us bread, the food was mediocre. Waitress forgot about our birthday celebration. Food took longer than normal to come out and wasn’t even hot. Waisted time, money and calories. Ambience was too dark, couldn’t even read the menu

    While on vacation, we decided to try restaurants on the Seattle Restaurant Week list. First up was Il Bistro and OHMYGOSH was it the perfect choice. As a starter, I chose the Arancini (fried risotto), which was perfectly crunchy with the creamy risotto. It was just the right amount before my entree, New York steak. My steak was cooked exactly as requested and I hated not having enough room to finish it. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming. The entire experience as well as the food was memorable. When we return to Seattle, we will definitely visit Il Bistro again.

    We booked this for a family dinner on our UW parents weekend. Restaurant around the corner from the “gum wall” and close to Pikes Market. Really liked the old school Italian feel. Not fancy but nice enough. Food was really good and the portions were extra extra. We had lasagne, rigatoni, cheese pizza, chicken parmesan and the catch of the day which was salmon. I wish I would have taken pics but trust me…. none of the dishes were a disappointment. Cocktails and wine were nice. Definitely will be coming back.

    Very good food, wine and service. Easy for four people to converse with low noise level. Menu is limited for non-meat eaters; one of those menus where meat is added to most seafood dishes.

    Awesome in every way. Actually dined at a table in the Lounge. Had a martini. The cioppino, and a glass of Chianti. All very good! My server (didn’t get her name) was extremely attentive while very busy. Great Job!

    Ordered salad and pasta and a glass of wine. The salad and wine came quickly though the salad was overdressed to the point of inedible. The pasta never arrived even after I asked about it. I never saw my waiter after he took my order. I left after an hour. Never going back.

    We made an early reservation to eat dinner before an event at Benaroya Hall. When we arrived, we told our server that we had tickets for an event starting at 7:30 and would need to leave by 7pm. We had 1.5 hours, but the server didn't take our dinner order for 45 minutes into our reservation. He ignored us several times when we tried to get his attention. When another server was filling our water glasses, we asked him to let our server know that we were ready to order. The server still waited to take our orders and then he informed us that we didn't have enough time to order salads before our entrees. We were a party of 7, so they automatically added a 20% gratuity to the bill, so we couldn't withhold the tip to adjust for the poor service.

    Made reservations for my mother on her birthday, they sat us in a well lit corner, served big portions and brought out sorbet with a candle at the end of our meal! The waiter even sang happy birthday with us !!!

    Food was very good, waiter took care of everyone else, but continued to leave us till last. Late drinks, late getting food, forgot our appetizer, we had to ask someone else for it during dinner.

    Be warned…the portions are huge. My wife had chicken park and I had short ribs. Neither of us finished half of the meal. It pained us to leave it because both meals were great. It’s a unique location and a little difficult to find because it’s on a lower level. We loved the vibe to it…very lively. Highly recommended!!!

    My wife and I spent our anniversary here and everything was absolutely excellent. They gave us a private booth and the staff was great. Lovely ambience and location next to pike market. Highly recommend!

    Everything was good except I am not a fan of 4% surcharges. It is not my job to provide a living wage to employees. That is the managements job. If you can't do that, then raise the price of the menu items. Its ridiculous, unacceptable, and sneaky to add it on when you bring the bill.

    We come here roughly twice a month~ The food is consistent which keeps us coming back. During peak hours it’s a little loud but luckily the restaurant is able to accommodate us to be able to sit side by side or at the bar. This last visit, I wrote in the “notes” that we were grabbing a quick bite and that we were ready to order when we arrived. I love that they actually read reservation notes. Good food, good wine and good service! :)

    Il Bistro is a hidden gem! Everything was wonderful; the food delicious and more than adequate portions, the wine was lovely (Cabernet Sauvignon) and the service friendly and professional! We loved it!
