We had reservations for 10:45 only to find out they’re closed from 10:30 to 11 ( why make that an option on your reservations then). Really didn’t even need reservations as it was not anywhere near busy. The service was extremely slow for how few people there were I doubt we will return.

We asked for water 4 times and never received them. It was not busy-30% capacity but server appeared harried and frazzled. Food was mediocre, overpriced for $75. Mimosa was more juice than sparkling. Parking was not properly explained and I was not reimbursed. Hotel Hilton front desk was unhelpful and dismissive. Manager ignored my query and did not even come out to explain. I was forced to fork out 15% gratuity for poor service. I was with my elderly mother and I was being given the run around to reimburse$10+ parking. The front desk staff were even smirking when we were about to leave. I will not come back ever. Fairmont airport Mother’s Day buffet was better overall.

Found the place a bit dark, chicken wings and muscles were delightful. The place wasn’t very energetic on Wednesday late afternoon, great place to catch up with friends. Live music would be nice. My friend parked on the Sheraton side . The handicap parking stall wasn’t wide enough, I had to back up her van for her to get in. The parking stalls need to be a bit wider and handicap friendly for those who uses the ramp to get in and out.

We met family here to visit with them before they left on vacation. The service was very good, friendly and not rushed, and the ambiance was good for visiting as it was not too loud. The food was fine and the prices not outrageous. I would recommend it as an affordable meeting place, not putting the focus on dining

Both my son and I had the Cavu Burger, which was very tasty. He had fries as the side while I opted for the salmon chowder. Service was slow - it seems like there were only a couple of servers online, but they were doing their best. Overall, a great place for a casual dinner.

I go there regularly for supper from appetizers such as salads to entree such as burger and steaks. Foods are well presented once it comes to my table. Drinks selections are decent. Every time I go there, I receive excellent service.

I’ve been here before mid Covid and before. Those were better times for Cavu. When we went Friday we noticed that service was lacking and slow… because there was only one server and she was also the bartender. I think there isn’t much staff in the kitchen either since our entrées took a bit over half an hour. Our appetizers came in about 10 minutes but the server was so busy she or the manger didn’t give us any share plates. I ordered the steak and asked for it rare, but it was made medium. I didn’t ask for them to redo it worrying that it’ll take a while. The manager offered me free dessert to make up for it which was nice. It’s not a bad restaurant but like most in the service industry they are sorely understaffed, which is causing Cavu to spiral in quality. Unfortunately we will not be returning anytime soon.

Ambiance was a little odd for a dinner experience. We were seated at a small table with armchairs, next to one of the televisions that was tuned to a Lion’s game. One of the patrons stood just behind me watching the end of the game. It made me so uncomfortable I had to stand up. Fortunately, the game ended before our dinner came. Our server was very good. We ordered flatbread (it was dry and we mentioned it, not to complain or get a replacement, just so the kitchen would know). They offered to get us something else, but we declined. Had the lamb (delicious, but the carrot puree was strange) and the fish and chips (very heavy on the batter, so parts were undercooked). Finished off with an olive oil lemon cake that was ok- maybe just too big a portion (3 pieces for 2 of us sharing.)

Place was quiet. Obviously short staffed. Waited 10 mins before seated. Another 20 mins at a table with water stain. Finally staff came apologizing. This was unacceptable for a hotel restaurant. Food was decent but spoiled by a bad start. Not sure will come back or recommend to anyone.

Staff was friendly. Server was nice but forgot two orders. We were 9 people. There were only a handful of tables yet water refills were not automatic till the end of the dinner. Staff spent time chit-chatting behind the bar. Food was good & arrived in a timely manner. For the food we received, it was pricier than at other restaurants.

For the 3rd time now that I held a breakafast meeting at this CAVU Kitchen Bar at Hilton Vancouver Airport, it;s fantastic place to do breakfast and have a meeting at the same time. The waiter/server was so good and attentive to our needs. Fantastic service and food. Will be back again soon.

I came here for Easter brunch with my teenage son. They offered Brunch boards for Easter with bottomless mimosas. We were both so pleased with the whole experience. The hostess, Kylie, greeted us right away and was very friendly and took us to a great table. We ordered a board to share which was more than enough for two people. It was a fabulous treat for brunch…like a charcuterie board but with brunch items. Our server was polite and friendly and Kylie the hostess even came around to check on us and offered me a fresh mimosa. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that the cooked items on the board weren’t very hot…more tepid but still delicious. Would definitely return if they offer brunch boards again.
