Food was good... Music very loud for small room...Probably better environment when weather permits doors to be open for music. Menu a little limited... Bread would have been nice. But would eat there again.

This was our family's first time to the Sleepy Hollow-Tarrytown area, and it was bustling the weekend before Halloween. We were greeted by a dynamic man (owner perhaps?) who warmly welcomed us and humorously bantered with me and my husband and gave our daughter a paper masquerade mask and joked with her too. We sat upstairs, and although construction was underway around us, it was pleasing to see the Hudson and fall colors. The restaurant offered fleece blankets, and the music mix was fantastic. Our waitress and wait staff were polite and attentive. We overheard one demanding/difficult guest next to us and heard the waitress manage this person calmly, politely, effortlessly. Great vibe and great staff. Food was good too, though would have appreciated more seasoning on the mac-n-cheese, lemon with the calamari (though I certainly could have asked and they would have taken care of it). Burger, fries, and fish were tasty.

We were in town to support a friends new show. Booked our dinner here with a request for a nice table overlooking the Hudson. The host actually told us he had been waiting for us specifically even though they were slammed busy. He even asked about my wife’s new job which I had mentioned when asking for a special seat to help us celebrate. We were able to sit on the deck overlooking the river because of their blankets on every table as well as their butane heaters that appeared more like lamps than obnoxious heat sources. The server was underwhelming, but I think she was busy downstairs. Our food arrived in great time, perfectly cooked and prepared. Could not have asked for a better meal.

We were 4 people that went last night for dinner. Very poor service. George our server got my order of a medium rare burger wrong, then never came back with the right order. By the time he checked on us and let me know it was coming out my party was already finished with their meal. Service and management here was horrible and on top of that he left the burger on the bill. Nice place and atmosphere but wait staff and management need to be properly trained.

My husband and I enjoyed a 3 course prix fixed dinner on a beautiful Sunday evening on their rooftop. We enjoyed two different salads, caprese and a watermelon salad with feta and mint. Both delicious. For our entrees my husband ordered their classic burger and I had the bourbon pineapple chicken. He was happy with his, which was quite generous. My portion seemed a bit skimpy. The potatoes and veggies were few and the chicken also was minimal. The chicken also was not served as a cutlet but appeared to be tenders. It was tasty but wish there had been a bit more. Our choice of dessert was sherbet or churros with vanilla ice cream. We had the churros which were warm and crunchy yet moist on the inside, delicious! We will be back!

Party of 5 and all agreed the food was exceptional. Three of our 5 had a little trouble with stairs so not sure about accessibility. We arrived on open mike nite. The noise was a distraction and detracted from the food and conversation. Staff and owner were very responsive in closing a door and unplugging a crackly speaker. Food was great! Owner may want to consider an alternative to this type of music. It should be all about the food which was worth the trip.

The owner, Gary was degrading, unprofessional & dishonorable. After we ate at Hudson Anchor, both my husband and I felt ill after our meal, so I called the owner, Gary. In speaking to him I also told him we were overcharged for an appetizer. He initially promised to credit the appetizer & after several days, he hadn't taken care of it. When I texted him to remind him, he texted me & offered for us to come back & he'll take 25% off our bill in lieu of issuing the credit. We asked for the credit again & it was still not taken care of after a week. When I texted him again I asked him for a credit in full as this has gone on for several weeks without resolution. He immediately texted back "I'll issue a FULL refund". A week later, he issued a $14 credit, not the credit in FULL as he promised via text. When I asked him today to please issue the remaining credit so we can wrap this up he wrote back "Never in my life in the three different businesses I’ve had did anybody ever do what you’re doing to me have a nice day this issue is now closed". This review could have easily been how the owner turned a bad meal into a great customer experience. Gary, the owner could have done the right thing from the beginning & we would have a glowing review.

Very pleased! We sat outside upstairs overlooking the Hudson River. Nicki, our server was delightful. The owner came over many times to check on us. Food is great and the ambiance is also great. Loved the bar on the first floor with a nautical theme. We will definitely go back.

We so looked forward to our dinner but we’re told there was NO outdoor seating since we had not asked for it when we reserved ( no one told us we should). Our reservation was for 7:30pm and our first course did not arrive until 9pm. We decided not to order seconds on drinks for fear that they would take way too long to arrive. Our waitress Nikki was LOVELY and so apologetic for the slowness of the kitchen. When the entrees finally did arrive the food was delicious but we were all annoyed. Would NOT recommend.

Their roof deck is beautiful and you can watch sunset over the hudson. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was just good, loved the Brussel sprouts but it was a bit expensive for everyday meal... will go back for the roof and view and and service

Great spot near the river- loved the rooftop! The Salmon was delicious and drinks were on point! Place was very busy but the staff managed it very well and everyone was super friendly and efficient. Will be back.

Went for brunch & they didn't have Canadian bacon for eggs. Benedict. Stores in area carry Canadian bacon & we were the second table there. They were not busy at all but kept blaming the fact that their bus boys were all out. There were only 5 tables with3 or 4 people at each the entire time we were there Service was horrendous. Food was just Luke warm. Took us 2 1/2 hours to get out of there. Will not go back.

I found Hudson Anchor on OpenTable, and did not know what to expect. I am so happy to have found this place. Great food, great service, and great location! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and food was delicious. Will be coming back!

Very friendly atmosphere. The owner came by to check on everything and have a conversation. Food is delicious. It is charming inside. Decor reminds me of a ship. It was very hot that day so I did not get a chance to check out the roof top which has great views of the Hudson river. Already planning my next visit.

This was our second time to Hudson Anchor and we were just as impressed as the first time. It was very empty and I honestly have no idea why the place not jammed with people on a lovely Sunday at 5 PM. We ate on the rooftop which was lovely but we have also eaten inside as well. The food is really great with the only warning being to be sure to bring your appetite! I hope others will try this place so it will stay in business! This is going to be our "go-to" place!

Nice find with a small rooftop dining area. Went for Fathers Day brunch. Food was good. Drinks on the weaker side. Only change I would make is if you have a limited menu for a holiday, you should have everything on the menu ready to be ordered. I really would have loved to try the brussel sprouts.

The deck outside is nice. We had a waiter who had just started working there so he was a little rusty! We made a reservation but the hostess made a mistake and said the table wasn’t ready ,so we sat at the bar for a while and then the owner realized the table was ready for us for the whole time we waited. Food was good.
