   When I got to the restaurant on March 3, there was a sign in the door saying they had closed on February 29th for good. I had made a reservation a month in advance and not once did they let me know they would be closing or had closed before my trip to New York. So all of a sudden we found ourselves without a reservation and no dinner plans. I was not happy at all with how it was handled.

   As always we love this restaurant. Everything is made on premisis from the bread to the dessert and it shows. the wines are good and the space is cozy and intimate

   The food is always dependable and good here. I have never had a disappointing meal. I can't comment on the meat dishes as I don't eat meat, but fish dishes and vegetarian options are very tasty. This place isn't local to me so it takes a good place to drag me all the way across town! Plus, the wine list is reasonably-priced. Service is attentive. Wait time can be excessive. I would still recommend this place highly as a good, dependable, delicious Italian/Mediterranean.

   New owner, but still just as great as before. Recommend the special black sea bass and the grilled calamari. The service is exceptional, could not be friendlier and more gracious.

    The pizza was tasty but not hot. The crust was not crisp at all but had the texture of bread. My eggplant parmigiana was not hot. In fact , the center was cool. In all, my dinner was disappointing.

    Always a pleasure to dine here. Although the owner is new, the food and high quality service remains the same. Our favorites: the calamari, the salmerino main dish and the potato encrusted fish. If you are in the mood for pizza, their arugula and prosciutto one is delicious. And if you just want a nice seemingly home cooked meal, you can't go wrong with the chicken.

    Lovely little neighborhood spot that we had been wanting to try. Attentive service and nice menu. I had the dorado in potato crust served wit Brussels sprouts, delicious. My friends had the Arctic char and loved it. We will definitely return!

    The welcome does not have the charm of the previous management but the chef still prepares excellent dishes. We have had to ask to turn down the music. It is a small intimate restaurant and we used to enjoy the quiet. It is still the best Italian fare in the neighborhood so we will keep trying.

    Great dinner. Nice and quiet to have a real conversation. Food was fantastic. Started with the goat cheese salad which was so fresh and perfectly dressed. My friend and I both ordered fish entrees, which were cooked to perfection. Flavorful and not overdone. Wine selections were good. Their waiters were very polite and attentive and the spacing of the courses was very smooth. We did not have to wait too long for our salad or dinner, but we had plenty of time to catch up. It was a really lovely dinner. So glad we went.

    Have been to Tielli a number of times and have never been disappointed. Simple Italian: pizzas, pastas, salads, mains, buffalo mozzarella for the lactose intolerant, wonderful desserts. Food is delicious, service is friendly, knowledgable, and professional. Always happy at Tiello.

    Second visit for lunch with my family (party of four.) Space is small but comfortable. Service was excellent. Ordered from the Prix-Fixe lunch menu on both occasions. Very good value for the quality and quantity of food/drink. We found all of the offerings we ordered to be to our liking. Favorites: Calamari (antipasti); Pappardelle e Scialatielli (primi/secondi); Cioccolato (dolci). Very nice selection of Italian wines--we enjoyed them by the glass and by the bottle.

    I invited 2 friends to join me at Tiella, one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. The service was outstanding; we were 3 people sharing all dishes. Each dish came on 3 separate plates. The food was excellent. My friends were very happy and asked that we eat at Tiella again. I was thrilled because that means they will come to my neighborhood.
