   The restaurant was not open at all. Kind of embarrassing making reservations for a business that was not open and having friends meet you there. No call was given informing me that the place was closed.

    The place was almost empty but even with that the service was not the best the bartender was our waitress she was trying to juggle both but was not mostly focus on the bar she forgot our drink only brought us water toward the end after my second request she brought me a coke but it was water down my ribs where really dry for my taste .

    Went here for dinner with a friend. When we got there the AC wasn't working properly. We were going to enjoy dinner but started off with fried okra and 2 drinks. Fried okra when done properly is not slimy and very tasty. This tasted like a fried ball of slime with seeds. It had no real flavor at all. That combined with the increasing temperature and we decided not to stick around any longer.

    we were a large group that had a reservation at least a month in advance for a business lunch. so it was disappointing that there was only 1 person running the front of house. he was the host, the food runner, the server, bartender, etc. it took over 45 minutes to get our food, so by the time we received most of the food everyone was rushing as we had to get back to work. everyone enjoyed the food, but we will not be able to keep this on our list for large groups or a quick bite.

    Hidden gem in a sea of great food. Excellent cocktails (no, really!) and super tasty food (I would especially recommend the chicken and waffles). When we first arrived, our waitress was also operating as the hostess, bartender, and bus boy and she was killing it! Very knowledgeable, friendly and quick to assist. When back in the area, we will be returning!

    First time here...very friendly wait staff. Ordered the platter...brisket was very tender; sausage was awesome; pulled pork and chicken was perfectly cooked and spiced; the ribs were a little tough, but overall a 3 out of 5; the rib tips were not meaty enough, but the meat that was present on the tip was good and tender. The cole slaw was perfect...simple and vinegar based, not mayo based like others. The short rib was huge and not as tender as I would have liked, but worthy of me finishing it. Red beans and rice - spot on. My wife loved the pulled chicken sandwich, and for a person that doesn't like BBQ, she was raving about the flavor.

    If you go to Porkchop, get the pork chop. Unbelievably delicious. It’s been there several times and there’s never anybody there. Hard to believe it can stay open. Last time there, it was dark. No, really dark. The bank of lights above us was turned off, and the server couldn’t figure out how to turn them on.

    Pros: The food was delicious! The decor and atmosphere of the bar/restaurant was very cool. Cons: We made a reservation following a graduation. There was only one person working which seemed odd on a UIC graduation day. So the service was inevitably a little slow. Also ordered a bloody mary and they didn't have them. I don't think I have ever been to a bar/restaurant that didn't serve bloody marys. Again just a little strange. Overall we would recommend giving it a try.

    It was very cold and the service was horrible. Initially, we were not given any menus, yet after waiting 10 minutes, a server came over and asked what we wanted to order. We ordered appetizers but all of our food came out at the same time.

    We went there for dinner and after walking in it was pretty empty except for the loud family who had kids running around like it was there house and you can tell they have been there a while because the server never went over to them, the tables and floors were sticky, the bathroom looked like we were at a late night bar and it was only 530 on a Sunday. We had intentions to order dinner but only got as far as appetizers. We ordered nachos with pork waited 20 mins for them and they finally came out cold and by the looks of they I wasn't sure I was at a high school cafeteria or BBQ joint, the taste was ok it was mostly chips with a little cold cheese and cold pork. After that we left.

    We didn't like the selection of the menu or the food. The fried chicken had no seasoning, the green bean were not good, but they did comp us for that. The grits were absolutely horrible, the were lumpy and hard, my husband put butter in them and tried to fix them up, but it just didn't work. This was not a good experience for us and we will not visit again or recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was very good, if the food was as good as the service everything would have been alright. This was also our first time there and this is the restaurant we choose. We said we should have went to Nandos which was a couple of doors down or we could have went to Wishbone. We wish we could have gotten our money back, we were not pleased at all.

    Food was average at best. Service was awful. Was 8:00 on a a Saturday night and the place was empty. You would think that with so few patrons, the service would be better. Maybe others have figured out that the West Loop has much better offerings elsewhere.

    The ambiance is nice;the mimosa were really good and cheap. However , the food was horrible . I expected more and I was let down. The people I came with they enjoyed the food for what it was;Very tasteless . I am a person that doesn't use salt but the food needed more " doctoring up" .
