   Went for lunch with family. Was not busy and ate inside . Bacon wrapped tater tots are a must. All of our dishes were cooked to perfection. Will go back again and again.

   Service was very poor. It Took over an hour for our food to come Out. The manager informed us that they were short staffed but he couldn’t comp anything because Fran was “sleeping”. The table next to us was very upset. They were given free desserts but that didn’t make up for the poor service We tried this for the first time as we’ve heard great things. Needless to say we were very disappointed.

   Fran’s never disappoints! The kale salad is outstanding , the special was delicious, and the New South Chicken sandwich is the very best sandwich in town!

   such a great lunch spot, hard to decide but went with the calories!! the tots wrapped in bacon are sinful, the deviled eggs delicious and got the chicken sandwich with the pepper jelly. so many great tastes, enjoyed them all

   Our meal had to be sent back to the kitchen twice, since it was served cold to us twice. No apologies, very disappointing, not what we’ve experienced at Frans in the past.

    Fran's is always a treat, whether for lunch, dinner or Valentine's Day. Food is fresh, delicious, inventive. Menu rotates according to season's and Fran's creations. Fresh ingredients used. From down home (Fran's meatballs) to wonderful fresh fish, salads, desserts - it's always good. Also a good craft beer list and selection of wine.

    We went for Valentines dinner and it was a huge disappointment. Had been one time previously a few years prior and it was much better. We were sat and it took 10 minutes before a waitress came to greet us. The food arrived cold on the appetizer, the main course was just so so and not very warm but the meet was nearly raw. Was told it was supposed to come that way. I sent back and I’m pretty certain it was microwaved and brought back out. No bread with dinner was offered. The room we were sat in was in the back and had no real ambiance and looked like they set a bunch of tables up just to accommodate more people for that night. I don’t know if that is true but we didn’t feel it was inviting or conducive to a nice dinner setting for this special occasion. Overall it was not worth the money and really wish we had chosen somewhere else. Sorry. Wish we had a better review to offer on Frans Filling Station.

    We encountered a major service issue during our lunch experience which other diners experienced as well. The huge delay getting g our food served was bad enough, but none of the servers proactively explained the problem which made the atmosphere really uncomfortable. Then, to top it off, when we finally got our food delivered it was not the right order. Most people will forgive a legitimate problem if they are kept informed. It becomes a bigger issue when kept in the dark.

    My husband had the Asian Calamari, and I had the Thanksgiving Turkey Burger. Both were delicious! Great flavor on the burger, turkey sometimes can be a bit dry. Asian sauce on the calamari was tangy and enjoyable. We finished by sharing a slice of chocolate peanut butter cake. Yum. Only downside was we were seated next to several tables with small children, so it was a bit noisy.

    Our experience was awful. The hostess lied to us several times about the availability and wait times, despite us having a reservation and arriving on time. She proceeded to seat people who arrived after us without a reservation, and only told us she was “sorry about it.” We ended up waiting another 20 minutes before getting so fed up with her attitude that we left. I will never come back to Fran’s, specifically because of the apathy of their staff.

    We really enjoyed. It was a experience my grandson will remembered. The waitresss was very friendly, hospitality was excellent,and over all everything were good. I plan to visit again soon.

    We chose the flatbread with fig and goat cheese, the trout and asked for our dessert (coconut cake) to go. It was all delicious and outstanding. We have never had a negative experience at Fran’s.

    Fran’s is one of our favorite spots in Charlotte. We had tater tots wrapped in bacon and fried pickles for appetizers on our last visit. They were outstanding. We ordered the lasagna and fried chicken sandwich absolutely delicious. In the past we have ordered the lamb burger, kale salad and meatballs and enjoyed them all. You can’t go wrong at Fran’s the food is outstanding. In warmer weather the outdoor patio is one of our favorite spots.

    Fran's is one of my favorite lunch spots. Delicious sandwiches and sides, so I was excited to try it for dinner. I have to say our entrees were disappointing. My husband's prime rib, which he asked for rare, was literally well done but he was too hungry to send it back. My lobster pot pie, after the lobster was eaten, was a bowl of mushy sweet potatoes and white beans. Our appetizers - brussel sprouts and calamari were fantastic, and so was dessert.

    The food was delicious, I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts and the tater tots. Next time we will stick to the appetizers, although my husband ate his burger in three bites and my special lamb entree was outstanding.

    Fran’s is one of the best restaurants in Charlotte! Love this place- absolutely delicious. We had the lasagna, paella seafood pasta, herb crusted mountain trout and beef stew. One dish better than the next. The calamari and brussels sprouts were great apps too!

    Our server was very sweet, and the saving grace of the experience. How we their menus were outdated, if you are removing things from the menu.. print a new one. There were still summer cocktails on the menu in the middle of November. It just felt thoughtless. The food was okay, basic is the best I can use to describe it.     Fran’s used to be a good spot for us. Convenient location in the heart of Dilworth. The food is always very good. However, this time the service was horrible. We felt rushed and server hovered like they couldn’t get us to leave fast enough. Not sure I will go back which is disappointing.

    Went for my birthday around 6:00 with 5 other people, was greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the wait staff was very nice and attentive. I was given a glass of champagne for my birthday which was really nice of them to do. I definitely recommend eating there.
