Truly a special night out for us . Every attention to detail was put into the decor and overall vibe of the restaurant. I wouldn't mind my entire house looking like it! The food selection is extraordinary - after making decisions for apps and main courses, along with first rounds of cocktails, every single bite was heaven. Grilled octopus was sensational, scallops to perfection, tuna tartare exquisite. The ambience blew us away. Truly a memorable outing and will highly recommend.

Rough start , when we arrived, we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for a regular table. It dragged to about 40 minutes. Once we were seated , everything was fantastic. Waiter was great and the food was delicious. My wife and daughter wanted to take pictures around the restaurant and we were assisted by the raw bar bartender. He was directing and the lighting man at the same time with a humorous way about it. We really enjoyed our dinner. Would definitely return.

We had a fantastic first experience at Lamia’s. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious from the lobster tostados to the clams & linguine. The atmosphere is a very cool chic under water masterpiece! We highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to visit again…. And again!

I've called to confirm if my Sunday brunch reservation can be applied for the restaurant week special. The restaurant said yes. However, when I went to the restaurant on that day, they told us the restaurant week is only for dinner time.. which is not what I was told on the phone and there wasn't anything the restaurant could offer to mitigate the situation.

Food and drink were great but good service was very slow. We had 8:45pm reservations and didn’t get dinner until after 10:15pm. To me, it was worth it, my partner was hungry!

Such a Hidden Gem in the East Village. Our service from the minute we arrived was impeccable and so friendly. Our food was delicious and the Ambiance is really nice.I highly recommend this place .

It was my second time here and it is an almost. Things are just not quite as good as they should be or as you would expect. Clams were not so great, fresh fish was great, pasta very good, appetizer sauce a little salty, pizza undercooked, drinks eh, waitstaff nice. I would still try again but they need to slightly up their game!

4 year anniversary with my husband, we love seafood so when I found this we had to try it ! . From hostess to server ousting very professional service very polite and friendly. We order oysters very good , and as well as mussels and fish tacos … and lastly the fish to share for 2 it was Amazingly seasoned hard to find a place that knows how too prep Thank you for great experience we will definitely be back

The service here is great! Usually when you have a reservation most restaurants will not seat you until all members of your party have arrived, but I think this place has it right, they allowed me to sit at my table and wait for guests. Thankfully they did that because it gave me time to really explore the menu, have an appetizer while I waited and enjoyed two glasses of wine. As you may have guessed it, my party was running late - but this also positioned me as a patron to spend more at the establishment and not feel rushed. When my party arrived we ordered more food and drinks which went beyond us planning to just enjoy the pre-fixed restaurant week menu.

Great good, fabulous downtown vibe, fun surroundings, friendly staff. That’s Lamia’s. Don’t miss Monday night lobster - best deal in town - but there’s lots more yummy seafood awaiting you. This is a return-to restaurant and definitely belongs on your list.

Food was very good and the decor is fabulous. We were seated next to a party in the back room that was very loud and we were basically ignored by the serving staff. I feel confident that if we went back and were seated elsewhere, we would have a great experience.

amazing service and incredible food! my only complaints: 1. a dish was cleared before we were done eating from it 2. We ordered dessert from the waiter’s vocal list, which included crème brûlée. The crème brulee ended up being chocolate, which is defiantly abnormal and i’m not a fan of chocolate. it didn’t ruin anything at all, just somethjng to keep in mind!
