Came in for drinks and a few small bites before dinner reservations elsewhere. It was phenomenal! We wanted to stay for more, we will absolutely be back soon!! Thanks for the special touches for our birthday celebration too!
Met a friend for dinner; we enjoyed our meal, but, probably wouldn't go back for the price point. The menu is very small; the drinks are a small pour. We ordered the Hawaiian rolls (tasted exactly like King's - not sure that these were homemade, but, they did have a special butter with them.) We each ordered the Fall Salad with pears - very good - different flavor, but we enjoyed. For entrees, my friend ordered the Porcini Radiatore and I ordered the Mafaldine (Baja shrimp) - again, we both enjoyed our selections - but, the portions are small. It is recommended to order 3 of their menu items, but, expect that to come in at around $50 each + beverage tab. The atmosphere is nice, but, they sat us at the corner-most two top that they had - therefore, poor ambiance from our perspective.
Overpriced. Trying too hard with the food. Pleasant service and lovely room.
Perfect for a any special occasion! Would definitely go back!
Tasting menu w wine pairings was phenomenal
Great, knowledgeable service in great space (faux owls odd touch)
Great food. Great service. Will be back.
The "first" and "second" plate options (sweet potato tots; porcini with burgundy snails, and the malfadine/baja shrimp) are excellent in every way: creative, very flavorful, and fine pricing; the "third" plate options are meat-heavy, as well as small portions and highly priced. Desserts fantastic--the chocolate mousse cake is wonderful! Wine list is limited. Service is very attentive and lovely.
Excellent Food and Top Notch Service. Great for special occasions.
We went for my husband’s birthday and wanted to check out the chef’s new restaurant, having been major fans of Boho House. While totally different, Bellemore was a wonderful experience all around. The service was top-notch and they made my husvand’s birthday super memorable and special. We will be back! Thanks :)
Outstanding, My new favorite restaurant in Chicago
The tasting menu was excellent. The food was delicious and portions were just the right size. My only criticism — which applies to many restaurants that serve interesting combinations of ingredients— is that the server should speak slowly and distinctly when describing the ingredients as each dish is served, instead of scurrying away after quickly speaking.
The food was excellent, especially the pasta dish. The ambiance was upscale but relaxed and the wait staff attentive but not intrusive.
Great ambiance and layout. Private feeling in open space. Innovative and creative menu. Every dish was a winner. Caviar cake is a must. Quiet room perfect for conversation. Pleasant wine list.
Excellent food, very nice place, excellent service.
Went here for a birthday dinner with another couple. Meal was excellent, service was perfect and the noise was not at all too loud to comfortably carry on a conversation. Music was fantastic from start to finish. Great experience all around!
Great food, music was slightly loud.
Excellent food and service. The interior is also breathtaking.
The food and service were amazing! I called a week before the reservation and requested a vegetarian tasting menu (make sure you call ahead if you want the vegetarian menu so they can be prepared). They did not disappoint! Every bite was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. I loved the grilled vegetable soup as well as the Porcini Radiatore while my date said the Icelandic Cod was his favorite. I can't wait to go back!
I had a reservation at Bellemore with a group of friends to celebrate a good friend of mine getting a new job. Service was phenomenal. Ambiance was breathtaking. The atmosphere was dim, lively, and it felt perfect for a fall night. Here's the downfall:
The drink selection was creative to a certain extent, however, a long ice cube in a basic scotch and soda doesn't warrant it to be priced at where it is. Also, revamp the menu. It seems as if you're trying too hard to be "different" when it comes to small plate dining. Presentation has to be revisited. The Shaved Foie Gras looked like someone smashed black beans and grated white cheddar cheese over it. It wasn't appealing to the eye. The lamb sausage was overpowered with salt and terrorized my palate for the rest of the night. The "Hawaiian Pull Apart Rolls" were basic dinner rolls you get at your local Costco that were just covered in butter or at least that's what they tasted like. Not impressed. Wild Striped Bass was the only winner, we should've ordered 5 of those.
I'd come back for Drinks and for a menu change.
The food is fine, but generally speaking is WAY too expensive for what you get. With a couple of drinks, it’s difficult for a party of two to exit with a bill under $200. In my humble opinion, $200 is WAY too much for this place.
We had a great dinner at Bellemore. The restaurant had been highly recommended by a friend and we couldn't agree more. Every course was creative and delicious, and the service was spot on. We look forward to returning again soon.
Pretentious atmosphere and pretty uneventful food. We were expecting much finer dining. Same ingredient (pickled pear) was used as a garnish for our bass as well as in the toasted rice ice cream. For that kind of price, you expect signature dishes with different ingredients. Excessive use of vinegar in a lot of dishes, supposedly trendy ????
Lovely lunch. Beautiful room. Attentive staff. Would recommend.
Food was excellent and service amazing. Vegetable soup was outstanding, lamb belly and striped bass very good.
Anniversary dinner with wife at this beautiful and busy location. Hostesses and wait staff could not have been nicer or more professional. Chair was moderately uncomfortable but that’s my only semi-complaint. Meal for two came out to $150 with no alcohol. Three apps/starters, 2 entrees and one dessert. The pasta with mushrooms starter was awesome, as was the Hawaiian rolls and butter. The tartare was also unique and super tasty Tried the chicken and lamb belly entrees. Both very good. But next time would see if the pasta dish could be had as entree. Nice sized portions. Chef Jimmy really needs to open a Vegas outpost!
Had tasting menu with wine. WI’m be was abundant. Service outstanding food above average.
Staff was friendly and accommodating- server made great recommendations- enjoyed our experience
Service quite poor...not thecwaitstsff..they were p peasant but the kitchen seemed all booked up .very tardy, unable to handle the cfowd. Good was mediocre at best. The best dishes...the salads, we're good...pasta way way too salty and lacking other depth. Generally mediocre for a high end place. Deserts ( which I shouldn't complain about...they were comped for the lousy service) were below unispired. . They were downright poor.
Sublime! Delicate preparation of fish dishes. Even something ordinary as a salad was elevated and exquisite.
Great service from Gabie... friendly and attentive
Food was very well prepared, tasty and enjoyed every bite
Excellent food and service. Bartender was knowledgeable and made a quality old fashioned.
My husband and I did the tasting menu and wine pairing. It was excellent and reasonably priced in comparison to tasting menus offered at other nearby restaurants. Our server, Gaby, was helpful and professional. We'll be back to enjoy the food and gorgeous room.
Wonderful dining experience! The food & service was impeccable.
The most amazing tasting menu with cocktail pairing that we had in a long time!!! Definitely coming back!!!
I guess you could call me a “regular”, but everyone makes me feel anything but. And you don’t have to ever visit to be treated that way.
Whether it’s a drink after work or a meal with a client, it feels like home...and it doesn’t take long before they’re remembering your drink order as well as the story you told them about your day three weeks ago. A perfect experience...every time.
Solid dining experience. Wait staff was excellent and attentive. Food was good and can’t go wrong!
FANTASTIC! Cannot wait to go back! Everyone and every dish is perfect!
Awesome dining experience, loved everything except the fact that I couldn't try everything on the menu, guess we'll just have to go back again and again
Loved it. Beautiful ambiance, creative flavorful satisfying food
Amazing food and service. Our server Kelly was fun, personable and made our dining experience 5 stars again. The Venison Tartare might be the best tartare I’ve ever had. The Lobster pasta and foie gras dish should not be missed. Am happily looking for another forward visit soon
