    ナパバレーのワイナリーを巡った後に寄せていただきました。タンニンで疲れた胃に和の食材とフランスワインが優しく、美味しく。そして、雰囲気サービスともに大変よかったです。また訪問したいお店です。

Wonderful in every way. Lovely ambience, we were seated in a corner of the deep-coral colored room which only holds 4 tables. Quiet unobtrusive & impeccable service without any pretension. Every course exquisite & delicate with marvelous combinations of flavors. I felt that $165 pp for 9 courses of this quality was very reasonable. Dinner was a relaxed 2.5 hrs, with each course coming quite promptly (unlike those terrible places where you have to wait ages btw courses!) Highly recommended.

The food is very good and high quality. However the ambiance is a little claustrophobic and feels like you are in a basement with no windows. The locale had only 6 tables and one seating per night so it is very intimate. They do not enforce their dress code and there are people who were dressed very casually while others were dressed up. I recommend trying once but likely will not be revisiting.

Keiko is easily one of the 10 best restaurants in San Francisco, and possibly in the top 5. Ingredients of the highest quality, prepared and cooked perfectly, in a peaceful setting. Service is excellent; attentive without being intrusive. Menu changes every few months. A dining must in San Francisco!

We booked a table for dinner on Saturday night at this exquisite Japanese/French fusion restaurant owned and operated by an amazing couple. The wife is the chef who put out some very delicate and complex dishes while the husband is a sommelier who was previously a wine maker. The combination of flavors, the presentation, and the hospitality were outstanding. We opted for the Grand Wine Pairing and tried a variety of Sake, French & American wines - including a Cabernet made by the owner. Overall, we really loved that the experience was simple and elegant, not stuffy or over the top. We highly recommend giving them a try, it was well worth it!

Keiko at Nob Hill is a culinary gem. Chef Keiko combines classic french with traditional Japanese cuisines. Each dish is creatively composed, savory, and truly extraordinary. I live in the neighborhood and have been a customer for just under a decade. My family and I have never been disappointed. On the contrary, each time we have dinner at Keiko, the meal exceeds our expectations.

Elegant, posh, and cozy the restaurant displays a chic ambiance with dimmed lighting to set the stage. Each group is greeted and seated with courtesy and promptness. The meal commences at 7:00 and does not disappoint. The tasting menu is a truly an experience of all senses. From the first bite of sea urchin which is served in a champagne glass to the imported Waygu beef which melts in your mouth the chef displays her culinary expertise in taste, flavor, and presentation. To top off the night the sublime caramelized pear is a treat truly divine. I highly recommend this restaurant for all special occasions.

Quiet, small comfortable dining room on the second floor of a small residential building. Beer and wine only with a nice, but small wine selection. Interestingly, there was only one choice for Sake at $385/bottle and close to $40/glass. The service is well orchestrated with each table served one after another by the small staff. The 10 course menu was beautifully presented with premium ingredients, many of them directly from Japan such as Satsuma A5 Wagyu beef and Kokkaido premium uni to name a few. While not inexpensive at $165 pp, the quality and uniqueness of the ingredients certainly offer great value. Bottom line: the food was unique and delicious, the service beautifully paced.

Delicious food, and cozy romantic ambience. My first visit to Keiko was 3 yrs ago and since then I’ve dined at many Michelin starred / high-caliber restaurants, and this visit lived up to my expectations. We came on a Friday night and there were 2 other couples dining. We had 3 waiters waiting on 3 tables so service was very attentive. Loved the seafood focused menu with fish flown in from Japan and other high quality ingredients like Hokkaido uni, Golden Ostera caviar, lobster, and A5 wagyu. Given the quality of ingredients and level of technique, $165 per person is very reasonable. The portions may look small at first, but you’ll end dinner full. I was slowing down after the 6th course (10 total) and ended up taking the last dessert course (little chocolates and candies) to-go to enjoy the next day. We opted for wine by the glass, but another couple did a wine pairing and overhearing the Sommelier talk to them about the wines made us really want to come back for a wine pairing. He clearly was very enthusiastic and cares very deeply for what he does. The stories we overheard about the wines he selected made we wish we were tasting them too! Keiko Nob Hill is a lovely hidden gem and wonderful for special occasions or special date nights

The food was great, but the service was very bad . I did not want to give them tips. But they just took 130$ from my Visa card as“ tips” service fee without my permission. I am very upset . I am not American I believe if I don't give tips is legally. Are they legal took my money as tips from my account without permission?? I want to make a complain. They keep the water in the back and refill the water open 4 bottle of water we didn't realise they charge 8.5$ per bottle. I feel scammed. And the desert they ask us tea or coffee they did not mention about the price. I have been in few times fine dining coffee tea was for free. Here they charge for 9$ a coffee . I feel scammed. Water and coffee tea bill is 68$. And they charge the service fee 131$. I have been fine dining I never seen u have to pay 130$ service fee and the service is don't even tell you the tea is 9$ per cup and the water is 8.5$ per bottle and unknown refill. Very disappointed.

We were very upset at the way they handled water refill. We selected sparkling water. Thorough the meal, we never saw our bottle. They kept our bottle in the back, and quickly refilled water when our glasses did not even reach halfway. When we got the bill, they charged us 26$ for 3 bottles of sparkling water (8.5$/ bottle) How the heck do we even know we drank that much?! You could as well put 4-5-6 and we would not be able to verify. If you were gonna open another bottle, why did you not even have the courtesy to announce or ask your guests?! They are the ones will wind up paying, correct? Another very ridiculous detail is that: we have been to 3-4 other fine dining restaurants with set menu like this. The other restaurants would come out asking if we'd like tea or coffee with our desserts. And they were all complimentary. This restaurant asked us the same question, and winded up charging 8$ per small cup of mediocre coffee. At the end, we feel scammed and milked out. My background is hospitality management. For fine-dining setting as such where guests are expected to pay 250$/ person, you should treat them with respect for hope of returned patrons. No guest in this situation would have argued with you at the table when bill comes out. It wasn't the place for us to fret over about how much water we drank that night. That's why we feel like restaurant management did this on purpose. I'm sure they had gotten away with many guests who didn't look at the bill because they want to impress their dates/ business partners... or because they don't want to think about money because they are on vacation...ect. But 26$ for water for a 500$/ meal? Absolutely ridiculous. This is not an ethical way to do business. Needless to say, we'll never return and advise our circle against picking this restaurant for their culinary adventures.

It was small anniversary for my wife and me to meet together 30 years ago. Then decided to reserve Keiko a Nob Hill. Overall it is excellent restaurant. Let me share our experience. Ordered Sampling course with wine pairing (Grand). 1st dish is Smoked Ayu (Sweetfish , Kind of small trout). They served with "Smoke" in the covered plate. Very good aroma. 2nd one is Uni (Sea urchin) with consomme gelee. Creamy and rich taste. 3rd dish is Corn soup. So sweet and creamy. 4th dish is Shinshu Shake (Salmon Tartare) with Yogurt source and green source. The combination is excellent. 5th dish is Scallop with Onion Puree. So-So. 6th dish is Lobster with Sauce Americaine. Very strong taste and rich flavor. Good matching with Chardonnay White wine. 7th dish is Toyosu Market selection. The fish is Suzuki (Kind of Bass. Summer season is good). The bake time is perfect. Some texture with sweetness. 8th dish is main. It was Wagyu. Tender, Juicy and nice charcoal flavor. After that, Cheese and Dessert. White peach is really nice. My wife and I really enjoyed. The wine pairing isn't the really great. It is quite reasonable. Next time, I would like to select some wine.

The dining experience was divine! We were seated in a cozy, intimate dining area with soft lighting and a comfortable banquette. With this setting you just knew something great was going to happen. And it did. We enjoyed a tasing menu with a wine pairing. Ten courses of amazing food, all prepared to perfection were served over the next 3 hours. The fish was so fresh that I thought I could be back in Kanazawa Japan. The wine pairings were perfect with each course and appealed very much to our palette. The A5 Wagu course did not disappoint. We savored every bite! Service was attentive and we never felt hurried. We are very appreciative of the talents of this creative and talented chef and look forward to our next visit.
