Dorrego’s, is named for the famed Plaza Dorrego, a public square located in the historic San Telmo neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hotel Valencia Riverwalk draws inspiration from the rich culinary heritage of Argentina. He carries a rich history of many hotels and restaurants that brings a diverse culinary experience to our table. An extensive wine list will be a focal point for diners. The restaurant’s décor reflects the Spanish Colonial design and architectural heritage of Argentina, with a touch of Parisian bistro panache.     SUPER Slow service. Sitting outside everyone’s water and drinks were dry. Constantly having to ask for refills by walking handle to find the waiter. Three people in our party had the wrong meal, and the group was done with their dinner by the time those three got their meals.

    Hello - We ordered the empanadas which were great - and a ceasar salad which was not very generous (full size) and was ok. The paella was a big disappointment - it was bland and mushy and not very good. The scallops were little punched out pieces and you could smell saffron, but no taste of paprika or other flavors. It was too bad - the Hotel Valencia was beautiful.

    Portions were small compared to what was being charged. Vegetables were undercooked and didn’t taste like Argentinian food at all.

    Steak was fabulous. The hotel is beautiful. Only problem was finding the place. Our Uber was not familiar with the place and we did not see signage for the restaurant until we stopped and asked. Otherwise marvelous.

    Antonio was awesome and made great recommendations. A great place for dinner, if I was rating for their breakfast I would give 1 star since it was very disappointing. 5 stars for dinner and drinks

    The atmosphere and service was outstanding. The food quality was poor. I ordered an 8 oz filet that looked like a lean piece of brisket. It was supposed to be medium and it came out well done. The chicken dish was also less than expected. For the price of the meal, the quality was very dissappointing.

    Not the best experience. They didn't have several items from the menu. We went for the paella and churrasco, both of them weren't available. Very disappointing experience.

    This place was very nice! Excellent location on the river walk where you can eat outside and see the beautiful scenery! The waiter was outstanding and had great recommendations!

    For the price of the entire stay I expected more I guess. The roof leaked onto my wife, we moved to another table and they reset the table that leaked on us. The wait person indicated they have been aware of this long standing issue. We will give another property a try on our next anniversary.

    Enjoyed the 3 course prix fixe lunch menu for restaurant week and were pleasantly surprised. This was our first time at Dorrego’s but we’ll be back once it cools down to enjoy drinks on the lovely patio.

    I walked in the hotel and was greeted by Jose. He was very nice and helpful as I thought he was working at Dorrego’s. He assisted me to the restaurant and notice that there was not a host so he waited until a host came. I knew this would be a great experience based on how I was welcomed! I came to Dorrego’s to try their restaurant week menu for dinner and it was delicious and filling. My waiter was Antonio and he was absolutely AMAZING! I will definitely come back to this restaurant to see Antonio again. He made my experience amazing, he offered me to taste a Malbec red wine and I loved it so I got a glass. He was consistently checking up on me which was great! Every single person in there tonight gave Antonio a compliment for his service as they left and I felt I had to as well. 10/10 experience… I will definitely be back!

    We had a couple of really nice salads. The octopus salad was my first choice but they were out of it. Ended up having an equally good mixed green salad w feta and a nice balsamic dressing. Also ordered the flaming cheese which was very good. Mostly appetizers for my my husband and I. Did not have any of the heavier meals. Very enjoyable evening and super convenient since we were staying at Hotel Valencia.

    Upon making a reservation, we selected outdoor seating. When getting to the restaurant, we were told to wait by the hostess to find a table. She then proceeded to give us an indoor table after we had already selected outdoor. She then brought us outside and gave us water. we told her we needed a minute to look over the menu and she then did not come back for 15 minutes, only because I had to go inside and ask her to come back out because we were waiting. She came out, took our order, and then did not return at all. We waited about another 15-30 min, until my husband had to go back inside and ask about either more water or where our drinks were. Thankfully, he ran into a kind server (Evan) who took it upon himself to serve us AMAZINGLY. The bartender came out as well (I can’t remember her name) but was amazing as well and provided great service. We were very satisfied with the two of these workers. The hostess however did cause me to give less stars due to her professionalism.

    The seafood paella was outstanding! The meals served to neighboring tables also looked very good. I would recommend checking the menu before coming. There are a lot of beef dishes and limited other choices.

    Worst steak I have ever had in my life. Service was great, atmosphere and noise level was fine. We were really disappointed in the food as this place is usually good. Best to stay with appetizers.

    Staff was wonderful. Unfortunately, issues with kitchen safety kept us from getting a hot meal. All staff were very attentive and kept us informed of the kitchen's status. We plan on going back!

    Hotel was amazing! We upgraded to a courtyard room with a balcony and had some late night parties out in the courtyard that woke us up but other than that our stay was wonderful. We also ate at Dorrego’s and found the service and food very nice!

    Waiter was apologetic. Not sure what happened we were there early for breakfast. Based on reviews. But service was extremely slow. We almost walked out. At the end of visit there were more staff, everyone seemed more attentive. The hotel looked beautiful, but the service and wait, with only 3 other tables it was not busy was unexceptable. Like I mentioned our waiter when I paid the tab honestly appologized for the long wait. Not a waiter problem, a hotel problem

    The food here is always amazing and the Mother’s Day brunch buffet was no different. There was something for everyone and the dessert bar was impressive. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The only slip up was the first mimosa was orange juice only and it took me a few tries to flag someone down and eventually I just got up to get some champagne. After that they were very accommodating and quick with refills! It was a busy day so I understand.

    The food was phenomenal. Everyone tried different items from the menu and no one was disappointed. The flavors were great. The Dorrego team was very accommodating and assisted in helping us add a few more people at our table. Great job Dorrego team!
