   The food is very good. The available wines and soft drinks are off the beaten path. For example, there was no Sauvignon Blanc or Sancerre offered. The “Diet Coke” was a brand I never heard of before. Too exotic for me.

   This is a truly NYC food landmark. Located in the Upper East Side. Eli's Table has been serving food for many years and we have been clients since they started. You enter the restaurant between the florists shop and the wine cellar. Very welcoming and unique way to enter a restaurant. The wine list has a selection of Burgundy and Italian Wines from small producers rarely seen in any restaurant in New York. The food is fantastic and the bread "legendary". The homey atmosphere, friendly welcome and friendly service with a smile makes our evening very "special" every time we go. The bill is just right. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have real food served by real people. We shared the evening with our friends Marcia and Bill and they both went home smiling. We had nothing short then perfect!! Thank You to Eli's and to his wonderful team. Nancy and Giorgio longtime residents of the Upper East Side

   Don’t come to the UES as often and needed a place for a larger party for a business dinner last minute. Food was nothing more than ok. Service was ok. Nothing memorable about it.

   You can come for the food, for sure - but you must come for the wine. You’re not likely to find a deeper wine list at a better price quality ratio North of 14th. Service is knowledgeable and very friendly

   Besides the great service and food, I happened to lose a bracelet there. The staff found it and were extremely honest and careful in taking care of it until it’s owner claimed it. I have very high regards for the professionalism and honesty of all the staff—-a bonus to the quality restaurant

   The food was fantastic as was the service. The only issue was the very loud music. We arrived at 5:45 and the loud music lasted til after 7:00. Don’t arrive for dinner before 7:00.

    Service was lack luster and the food was "OK". Even though there was only a handful of tables full in the restaurant, it took nearly one hour to produce a table full of pancakes and french toast. The pancakes were dry and the french toast was underwhelming and tiny. The coffee was bitter and we had to beg and plead for a server to come over to offer a refill of coffee or water.

    This restaurant has an old-fashioned, cozy atmosphere although very current in every other way. The menu is varied with excellent quality dishes. The wine list is extensive. Eli Zabar is an expert in providing exceptional neighborhood restaurants. It’s a pleasure dining there. Kk

    So Eli's Table keeps getting better. For a restaurant that is unusual enough. This is a place for grown-ups to enjoy dinner. That may say it all. The food is quite good with a changing and interesting menu. An exceptional, pricey wine list. The lower end keeps getting higher. Somehow, at these prices, Eli's should feel more generous. Portions are fine. Service is fine. A little more, "Happy To See You" would work.

    We are regulars at Eli’s. We love the fresh simply prepared food. Always delicious with the best & freshest ingredients . Nothing fried, breaded or sitting in olive oil. Not huge unappetizing portions, but rather healthy portions. Great wine list, good service and ambiance pleasant and quiet . One can have a conversation and be heard without a neighboring table listening. All this delightfulness isn’t cheap, but worth it.

    I’ve been here for dinner with the family (party of four). Very nice and cozy ambience and location. The wine list is amazing in terms of assortment but wines are overpriced. The menu choices are very limited and in addition to that they were “out of stock” with one of the main dish and the restaurant was not full at all. In conclusion considering all the aspects I might be back but not one of my favorite spot in the UES.

    The food was good but the prices were too high for a restaurant without table cloths. The fried zucchini was not crisp enough and came without a dip. Zucchero does that much better and cheaper. There are better restaurants in the 'hood for lots less money. No wonder there were only three tables filled on a Friday night.

    Food is always wonderful. Seating is ample and provides lots of room between tables so privacy is excellent. The one problem we have had twice is organizational. Our list trip was the second time our guests came before us and were seated before us and we were told the guests had not arrived and were seated at a different table. This time it took only a few minutes to get it sorted; last time it took more than 20. I think it's time to put in a new system.

    Ok cool little nook to hang out , but way overpriced and the service was absolutely terrible had to keep asking the bus boy to help me find the waitress.. food was good but from Eli’s you expect amazing and not such a off looking place

    Eli’s is our “neighborhood gem”. Good food that isn’t fussy, just good fresh ingredients. Great wines, great service and very nice ambiance. It’s a place where the tables are not jammed together and where you can actually hear what your dinner partner is speaking.

    My family and I have been regular diners at Eli's for 2-3 years (every other week routinely.) During our last visit, at about the one hour mark, we were told to give up the table because people were waiting. Shocking, considering there were only several people at the door and other empty tables. They won't have to worry about that in the future, we will not be back...

    Can a restaurant get better? In the case of Eli's table it really has. First the dining space has a more intimate feel to it. The staff, as always, is terrific. The wine list is exceptional. The food is well prepared, well presented, interesting and flavorful. Still, this is a pricey place that should be better at least more generous.
