This was our first time eating at the roof. Heard a lot about it. We did enjoy the food for the most part. Wish the deserts were labeled and perhaps more choices for vegetarians and a better salad bar. Ribs and ham were great. Mashed potatoes were good as well. Little pricy for what you actually eat. My wife and I aren’t heavy eaters so it felt like we didn’t get our money’s worth food wise, but the atmosphere was def nice and view was great.
The menu had changed way to much. Less food options! Salad bar was really poor. Food was fresh but no options to build a salad. Only one soup. Only a few dessert options when there used to be an amazing amount. Very sad.
The view can't be beat. The service top notch.
Made reservations for seven a week prior and was asked to sit at two different tables. I finally was able to get them to put my tables together. Service was poor, waitress didn’t want to wait on us. I expected much more from The Roof.
Our server Derrick was phenomenal. The kid was on point the whole night, made my anniversary with my wife better than I had planned. Give that man a raise.
Absolutely loved this restaurant. Came for our anniversary. The food, service, view and ambiance was great.
The problem that I saw was that we didn’t get service for drinks after we where almost done with our first plate
Then she wasn’t checking to see if we needed anything
Not very pleased with the service
Also the food
They never replaced the main course plate that we didn’t tasted just kinda paid 49 for a salad and desert per person
The 5 choices of meats were excellent. The salmon was prepared to perfection. The variety of salads and cold plate offerings were very appetizing. Great to have large cold shrimp and tasty cocktail sauce. The awesome view, varied piano music selections and friendly staff were an additional enhancement of the evening. The only suggestion would be to have warm plates at the carving station. We arrived at 5PM at opening on a Monday to enjoy the best presentation and freshness of the prepared dishes.
I proposed to my girl. First off when we were seated we had the wrong name card on the table. Second I ordered a rose with a custom note to be attached. Well guess what no note. 3rd my chair was so wobbly I'm surprised it didn't break on me. We thought the view would be great.... then the blinds opened and the windows were so horribly dirty. The meat was either so dry and stuff , or dripping in blood. Mashed potatoes were horrible. The best part was our waitress she was amazing. I wish I would have proposed some where else
Excellent place to be on a special occasion . The food was great, the view amazing, and the staff excellent
I fee that you are mostly there for the ambiance and scenery but the food didn’t blow me away at all.
NORMALLY I would hands down recommend The Roof. We have eaten there a few times the past fifteen years, when we are in SLC, and been pleased. This go, not so much. My recommendation: go early! We went at 8 pm, and our service was terrible, food was cold and wasn’t being replenished. It was a sad experience. Beck the pianist was the only light to the evening.
It was a little expensive, but in the end was well worth it for the view, service, and food for my anniversary!
Absolutely amazing! The service, the food, the VIEW!!! I will definelty be returning!!!!
What a wonderful experience! The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding and the views were to die for. The only thing I would complain about is that I felt their dessert selection was rather weak. Past that, I would highly recommend to anyone.
A nice restaurant overall, stacked plates because server never really came around. 2 people, 100 bucks plus tip- not really worth it- but the view, ambiance, and piano were nice, and it was relatively clean.
Very educated and courteous servers. I enjoyed every moment. It was the perfect date for an engagement.
The food was delicious!! Our favorites were the chilled shrimp and cocktail sauce, sushi, pickled vegetables, beef tips and mushrooms (phenomenal) and mashed potatoes. A must-try experience.
We love this place really good food and very romantic restaurant.
This place has an AMAZING view and the food is just as perfect.
Amazing food and amazing desserts! The service was very prompt in this the server was extremely helpful and kind and very friendly
The food was good could have been a little hotter overall excellent good views
I absolutely loved this restaurant! They definitely made my boyfriends birthday memorable, from the service, to the food, to the atmosphere, everything was AMAZING! Absolutely recommend this place for special occasions.
We have been many times, and we usually love it. Our favorite are the desserts. This time there was a very small variety. And what was there was ok not wonderful as it usually is. My chair was over a vent so I was cold. Also the chair couldn’t be flat on the ground because of the vent. Just not our usual great experience this time around.
Absolutely amazing and fantastic!!! Very fancy, would recommend at least slacks and a collar for then men. Beautiful view, delicious food, very friendly staff, best dinner I’ve ever had.
Great attentive service. Piano player phenomenal and views outstanding. Buffet food good. Meat carver sliced ridiculously thin slices of prime rib which required 3 returns by me to feel like I got a normal meat serving. Since we were on vacation primarily hiking, we felt slightly under dressed. Most men in suits and ties and women in formal wear. Though formal wear not required.
The Roof Restaurant was an excellent find. I had taken my girlfriend there for her birthday and they were very accommodating and the views cannot be beat. The added touch of being able to purchase flowers through them was the icing on the experience.
The Saturday buffet in between conference sessions was fair at best. The salad was bagged lettuce with a few bagged carrots on top. Then dressing. That’s not a salad! Not enough cold options. The chicken options were plentiful but too many fried dishes. Fried fish, fried chicken, seemed like a buffet for children. The beans were good, the potatoes sticky, the rice was boring. The beef in gravy was too fatty. Not good quality beef. Desserts were just ok. Sorry. Too much money for a buffet that looked like it went from freezer to fryer.
We celebrated my husbands 70th birthday at the roof. The piano player, (who is excellent by the way) played happy birthday. Our waiter brought out a special piece of cake for my husband as well. It was a very romantic evening. The food was superb. The view... indescribably beautiful.
Meats were tasteless dry and tough.
Rolls were dry.
Cheeses were hard and bland.
Creme brulee was sticky on top and the custard was grainy.
Cheesecake was frozen, crumbled rather than creamy.
So disappointed. Definitely not worth $42/person.
So many recent changes have caused this once-wonderful restaurant to not earn a recommendation again. The delightful dessert selection that used to exist has dwindled to just a few desserts with many old favorites missing. The wonderful salad selections of before now consist mostly of pickled fruits and veggies. The only toppings for the lettuce were canned mandarin oranges, radishes, and whole tomatoes! The shrimp was wonderful, and the prime rib was pretty good, once I won the battle with the server to get a piece that wasn’t dried out leather. If you loved the creme brûlée, prepare to be very disappointed. They changed the recipe! For our family, it looks like an 18-year tradition has ended. We’ll have to find a new place for special dinners. So sad...
Restaurant is beautiful- staff and pianist were great!
Food was less than average. Prime Rib was served in a silver dollar sized portion. Looks like they had cut a prime rib in quarters? Meat had absolutely no pink color - looked like pot roast! Had salmon that was over cooked and tasteless. I was really shocked 😳 Deserts were delicious but I have never seen even a buffet in Las Vegas serve main entrees in this fashion. If it is due to the fact that it was a Monday - close it instead of serving food in this manner! We were very disappointed. I should have taken pictures.
First of all, we made reservations over a week in advance of our visit. The hostess placed us at a table with an obstructed view. A guest came in after us with no reservation and was placed window side with no obstructed view. Huh? The prime rib was so under cooked and tuff it was not pleasant trying to chew it! Bottom line the buffet is over priced! I could’ve had a better meal elsewhere for a more conservative price range. You’re really going for the experience and the view if you’re luck enough to sit by the windows. Thanks.
Live piano music with a few songs being played. food is not worth $40+ per person food is very simple. Service was good at keeping tables cleared and drinks topped off.
Way too costly. Good thing my anniversary is only once a year, can’t afford more. Amazing view, food was ok, but too many tables smashed into a small space.
Wish the food was better. Some meats where cold and tough. Ran out of crab early. The view was beautiful
The food, ambience, and service is incredible, but the desserts are disappointing. Overall, very good!
Dining at The Rooftop Restaurant was the highlight of our 10 day vacation. Courteous, professional staff. Awesome view.
Great food and amazing location. They ran out of desserts which was disappointing.
We had exceptional service! We went for our one year anniversary and it was amazing. The live piano music was beautiful the food was delicious and our server was so nice! They picked up our food promptly, made us feel right at home, even took our picture. Didn’t make us feel rushed at all.
