    Food was very good. Got a variety of entrees, not just steak and everything was delicious. The only real spot on the evening was our server, who seemed miserable from the start.

    We had great service at the bar (John and Marco), with our server, Tomas, and the sommelier, whose name I cannot remember (!) but was so fun and took great photos for us. The food was flavorful and perfectly cooked, wine and cocktails were perfect as well. Will definitely be back!

    Wonderful dinner! The menu was diverse and our dinner of delicious drinks, beet salad with aged goat cheese and dressed perfectly, lamb t-bone and cowboy rib eye (both cooked perfectly) was expensive and outstanding. The staff was well versed, even knowing specific spices used in the creamed spinach. The sommelier was spot on with recommendations. It was a special and exceptional dinner.

    Lovely dinner for 5 of us. Nicole at the front desk was wonderfully accommodating of our ever changing diner count. From 10 to eventually 5. Donna and Jose were great servers - very attentive but not too much. A lovely evening

    I requested to sit next to the window since it was me and my partners anniversary and when we were being seated I noticed a table opened and they didn’t sit us there and when I asked if we can move they said no because it was reserved for someone else but the whole time we were there and up until we left there was no one at that table. Terrible service

    Way overpriced and tuhe Homemade Bread tasteless. Porterhouse steak warm not hot. Mashed potatoes were delicious. Wedge salad bland and no flavor. Wont be back.

    Excellent experience all around. Just one comment: The server should not plop down the bill unasked before we had a chance to finish our wine after the meal. This is not a diner but an upscale establishment where we spent nearly $500 for two.

    I love Porterhouse and have brought friends there for birthday celebrations, however, this was the 1st time time that the birthday person didn't receive an in house treat. EVERY other time I've gone there, the birthday person was presented with a mixture of sweets on the house and even though I mentioned the birthday 1000 times, nothing was presented. The experience was good overall, but that extra special touch was definitely lacking......

    Had the tomahawk bone in ribeye with a side of creamed spinach with bacon, and it was absolutely perfect. Paired with a wonderful silky smooth Bordeaux. Never disappointed at Porterhouse.

    Beautiful room and great view. Uneven service- Sommelier and bus sets were solid, Wait staff was slow and inattentive. The steak is mediocre and doesn’t touch the other quality places in NYC. Other food items were very good. Fabulously expensive. Won’t go back.

    Back to Porter House for lunch. Been there multiple times for lunch and dinner and had an overall great time. Got there a little early so had a drink while waiting for our frinds, expertly made. Sat for lunch and noticed the menu changed (no more A5 Wagyu option) and prices defintely have gone up. But it is in the middle of NYC with a view of Central Park and high end everything around. Everything was great, food, ambiance, bathrooms, everything excpet for one thing. The wait staff should know who orders what, esp. @ $180 for a porter house. It wasn't busy by any means, so really no excuse that they do not know who ordered which appetizer, which main course or the desserts. In that department, they have to step it up. It isn't the end of the world, but knowing who orders what means something, so please work on it. The porter house was delicious!

    food was great, prices are really out of this world. I use to eat here much more often before they moved the numbers to the astronomical rates. Also the menu has changed, and for my money, it was better before.

    Steaks and desserts were some of the best we’ve had. That said, we were rushed from the very beginning of our 7pm reservation to order cocktails and starters ASAP and when we took our time to eventually order $600 in whiskey no more than 10 minutes later, the manager came over and rudely asked us if there were any questions and he scoffed at us when we asked if they had any specials and what happened to one of their old menu items (Cote De Beouf). He walked away muttering to himself as if we were being ridiculous. The entire interaction had the premise that we were wasting their time and we should have ordered our food already. After our whiskeys were delivered, we were told we had to order starters and entrees ASAP and all at once. In addition, water was spilled at our table and the wait staff rectified the issue by piling linen napkins in front of our companion who got wet to then just dine for the rest of the evening on a pile of napkins. Only reason why we would return is, again, the food was quite excellent, but perhaps treat a group that dropped over $1800 a bit better next time.

    Excellent - attentive service without being overbearing - filets were cooked to perfection - Pete’s creamed spinach and hash browns are tops for steak houses - rivals Peter Luger’s. Wine sommelier who we’ve known for years is still at top of his game. Consistent service and food - would highly recommend
