We had a new waitress but she was awesome! Pleasant, sweet, and patient! When I advised that my food was a little burned, she apologized and quickly had the kitchen remake it.
I would suggest updating your reservation system with OpenTable. Because when I set the reservation, the hostess advised that reservations are to be made an hour in advance, although OpenTable showed that there was an available table 10 minutes from the time I booked the reservation.
Other than that mix-up, it was nice dining experience.
Food was very good. Menu options creative. Service was fantastic! The management team was very attentive and stopped by to ask about our dining experience. A nice add!
We arrived early had drinks and sushi appetizer then sat at our table. Our service was excellent and our food was excellent especially the salmon. We will be going back again.
Nina, our server, was spectacular!! And the food was fabulous and wonderfully creative!
While we love the food and drink, the restaurant was absolutely unprepared for Friday happy hour and pre-show crowd. It took nearly 30 minutes to get our first drink!
The food and the service was Outstanding? It's always clean and the food is Super Fresh! We Highly recommend this location.
Wonder service and food!
Staff and manager were great to talk to. Lunch was yummy ;)
Would have given 5 stars, but was seated by the hallway to the restrooms & where meals are prepared. Needless to say it was a bit noisy so conversation with friends we hadn’t seen in months was by us raising our voices. I asked if we could be seated elsewhere since there were other open tables in a less busy area & the very young hostess wouldn’t move us. We even had reservations! By the time we left there were still plenty of open tables. May I suggest seating customers with reservations in less busy areas & guests with no reservations for what areas are remaining. Positive part-our waiter was fantastic!!
We were sat way too close to the next table. Because of that seating arrangement, the date felt more like a group dinner. Will not be returning to this location due to this experience. Great location, just not for intimate dates.
I love Drunken Fish! I’ve been a fan for about 10 years. Food and service always outstanding. For years I would dine at the location on Lacledes Landing. That spot has since closed and I now live closer to the Westport location. The last several times my husband and I have come to dine at this location it has been close to empty, to which we think.. Great! But every time we are seated the hostes seats us grouped together with a few other tables. There are plenty of other seats!! We don’t want to dine on top of other people who are dining as well. The other problem is that the seating is very cramped, not much room. I complained to the manager but he didn’t seem to care. I guess what I’m getting at is the Drunken Fish is great; but if you want better ambiance and roomier seating (less cramped) visit the other locations. This one is a dump compared to the 2 others.
My husband go here at least once a year and we've always had great service and great tasting food. I've tried many different sushi places throughout the area and I still go back here for the best tasting sushi. They also have the best Udon noodles!! We always have good, timely, and interactive service. And the environment can change depending on the day and time of day you go but we've never had a complaint. We love it here and will continue coming back!
When we checked in were told they didn’t have any vegetables. We waited a while to be seated due to the communication with the hostess & issue of the no vegetables.
It was very weird.
Went here for my daughters 18th birthday. I’ve eaten sushi all around the country. And drunken fish west port did a excellent job for being 1500 miles to the closest ocean. The service was great too. Took care of what ever we needed.
I would expect a better level of service for a restaurant at this price point.
Dinner was great, I expected nothing less. It’s always great at The Drunken Fish.
Always a good choice, the only complaint is they bring the food too fast and the temp in restaurant is freezing
We had a nice team outing. Just a fun time!
horrible. sat at the bar. drinks were VERY SLOW and very inconsistent. food service not good. sushi miniscule and not tasty. asked for extra scallions and spicy mayo and never got it. needed extra napkins because we had lettuce wraps and got handed cocktail napkins. never got appetizer plates. just a bad experience all in all. Took us longer to get tabbed out then it did to eat and we ended up paying our uber for wait time. will never go back.
We love this place. Food is always good. Server Douglas was attentive and friendly.
We go to the Drunken Fish because it is close by , the food is good and the special deals are better. We like lunch there. The service was different, Jason was forgetful and laughed a lot, there were out of control children who screamed through the entire meal...not so good
Third visit to this location and the food foes down each time. The service stays consistently good to great. But the food... Slowly has me only going to the other locations. And ordering the same dishes with better results
We were seated next to the kitchen. It was very loud & narrow walkway next to our table with lots of traffic. Will request to sit on a different part of the restaurant next time.
We sat at the bar and Adam was great! We will definitely be back for Happy Hour!
Sushi was very good and the service was attentive but not overly so.
I never really have any problems but this time the rice was REALLY burned.. the after taste was horrible.. I the waitress that the rice was burnt and she offered a bowl of ice cream.. that was strange.. when I rejected the ice cream she just brought the check like she never heard me say that the rice was badly burned..
Service was good,we had an appointment, so the food was brought fairly quickly. BLT roll was ok, bacon a bit undercooked. Lobster spring roll was sparse on lobster, more cream cheese than lobster. Somewhat disappointing. Side dishes of spinach and asparagus were fine. Seemed restaurant was busy with a younger crowd. Portions were adequate. Will consider going back for another experience.
The service was wonderful. Our server was prompt and very nice. The food was amazing, as always. It was just so incredibly loud that you felt like you had to yell when talking to be heard. That kinda ruined the mood.
The food was good. Our server (guy with glasses, don't remember his name) did not bother to tell us before we ordered that their system was not accepting their gift cards because they were switching to a new system. He only told us after we put the gift cards in the check holder. I explained to him that he should have mentioned this important detail when we first sat down. I said, "What if we had $150 in gift cards and decided to splurge on dinner and drinks?? Then we're told they can't take our gift cards. What if we didn't have the money for the bill?? You should probably tell people before they ordered that your not accepting gift cards." He said sorry. But didn't seemed like he really cared.
Job promo. It was ok but overpriced. Service was slow and not friendly.
Went for Mother’s Day, and it was great. However we were rushed out because of a water main break. We took food to go, still good
Everything was excellent but I wasn’t able to use my rewards card and was told I would be given 10% off my bill but this didn’t happen. Service and food was excellent and I would definitely recommend to friends and family despite the bill issue.
Got seated in the back by a large loud party - but the waiters and sushi preparers made the most traffic & noise. Asked to be moved up front (empty tables were available) and hostess seemed pretty uninterested in helping us out.
Good food is my only positive comment.
Outdated menu with no flexibility to alter an item even when it is their fault.
Loud Loud Loud. Not energetic!
Cramped seating just to fill as many seats as possible. Felt like we were in a date with the couple's to our left and right.
And it was hot in the restaurant. Mentioned it to our server and she just agreed and walked away.
Any place that has a BLT sushi roll scores points for creativity. The taste did not live up to the promise though. It needed a bit more acid or spice to really make it a classic dish. They ran out of jalapeno for the jalapeno salad, which was disappointing. Service was ok, but not really personable. The nigiri as good.
Food was very average and the location is horrible.
Jen was awesome.
Excellent experience. We took our son that has fatal food allergies and we rarely dine out, but were in town for a youth soccer tournament. The staff was exceptional and met our needs along with constant checking in to make sure we were happy with everything. We greatly appreciated the service and attention to detail for our son. It made for a very nice evening!
Service was not good. Food wasn’t bad but a little over priced. The service makes this a big thumbs down!
Food is always good at Drunken Fish. Service was pretty good. Our waiter seemed to be a bit overworked. I wonder if they were short on wait staff that night.
