   No review to post. Restaurant called at approximately 2 PM to let us know a water pipe was broken and reservation needed to be canceled. Our concierge was able to get us a reservation at Scallini Fidilie and our meal was outstanding.

   This is my favorite place in NYC. The crew is fantastic, and the food is delicious. I have been eating here for years and I cannot express enough how much I love this place. They make me feel like family and will do anything to ensure you have good time.

    We were celebrating my wife's birthday. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in the door. Very knowledgeable staff seated us and was attentive throughout our meal. The food was outstanding. My wife had the squid ink pasta and I enjoyed a fabulous veal chop. The homemade tiramisu was also wonderful.

    A wonderful dining experience as always. It begins with the appetizers that are brought around before you even look at the menu. My dish that evening was a delicious portobello mushroom and then a three pasta dish. Each homemade pasta has a different sauce- with truffles, pesto, mushroom, or tomato. At the end of the meal you are always served one of their homemade grappas. This service is always impeccable. A very special New York restaurant.

    We were at the restaurant for a return visit. Our first dining experience was wonderful, and we were not disappointed the second time around. The occasion was a romantic get-away for an special NYC visit. We enjoyed the ambience and creative, excellent cuisine. Acapella is on our itinerary for our next NYC cultural excursion.

    We brought our 1.5 year old and the servers and manager/owner were all extremely accommodating and friendly to us and our child. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy. Food is fantastic. Would highly recommend!

    I have been a BIG fan going here for 15 years. Service was slipping in recent visits, but decided to give it one more chance and all I can say is the service and food were a HUGE disappointment. My food was not cooked as I asked and felt as if all they want is for you to eat quick and pay the bill so they can get the table ready for next diners. The servers bark out orders to the busboys who are running around like crazy. It is all one big rush! Sorry to say this last visit was just that ... our LAST visit. Time for someone in a management role to take notice of what is sure to become a mass exodus of patrons.

    We were rushed through our meal . Told that we could not have the table we requested because they were saving it for someone else who never appeared the entire time we were there. The floor manager was rude. Our food which was wonderful on our last 3 visits came out warm not hot and tasted just okay. I have recommended this restaurant to many friends and clients. I am very disappointed.

    This place is charming. I saw some comments from unhappy visitors in reviews, and perhaps by daylight it has less charm, but it is a wonderful experience. All of the all male staff have heavy accents and are dressed formally. The owner greets you at the door. The lighting is very subdued and the table settings elegant, but the place is not stuffy. The pasta was extraordinary, the veal chop huge and perfectly cooked (but please lose the sauteed peppers that top it and overwhelm the flavor). The waiter had excellent and very honest wine recommendations. You may find the staff initially offputting, but it is all part of the design. Banter with them and they'll have you laughing. And then they'll cap the night with an impressive presentation of complimentary house made grappa. No wonder the Soprano's liked it!

    The most AWESOME Italian restaurant in the city! Great bartender, incredible service, nice ambience where you can actually have a conversation over dinner. And the food makes the rest look ordinary, which is hard to do. Don't miss the veal chop, amazing!

    Highly recommend this restaurant! I am an Italian food snob - having lived in Italy and going back there every year to refine my taste buds. From the warm reception at the front door to the exceptionally high quality of food, the restaurant and staff make sure you feel special and that every dime spent goes towards innovative and authentic Italian comfort food. This restaurant ranked up there for us with Babbo and Valbella

    Apart from the room being a little on the warm side, everything about our evening at Acapella was extremely enjoyable. The service was impeccable and the food was extremely good. I try to get to Acapella several times a year, and I usually succeed in my attempts. I'm never disappointed. Be warned: the tab at the end of your visit id typically well over the norm. But if you've got the money to spend.... go for it!

    This is a special restaurant, be prepared for a restaurant that has superb service. We didn't feel rushed at all. The service is respectful and you're made to feel special upon the moment you enter. The complimentary appetizers are wonderful as was the spedina ala romana, we adored the veal Marsala and linguine with clam sauce. The homemade raisin cognac was wonderful as was the tiramisu, the wine list is well priced and a wide range of choices. I'd definitely go back!

    We had a 9:30 pm reservation on a Saturday night. The space was decorated for Christmas and it was lovely- festive but dignified. The service is very old school in a good way, and the food was too. We will return.

    The overall experience was very good. It was my 5th wedding anniversary. I had made reservations for 8 and requested flowers for my wife as a surprise on the table. We arrived about 30 minutes early due to and early driver and light traffic. We had some excellent drinks at the bar while we waited. There was a lot of energy in the restaurant and the decor was beautiful. We were not seated till about 8:30 but the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night. The food was delicious and the service was a little slow but very good. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The bouquet of flowers was beautiful and my wife loved them. We had a fantastic evening celebrating. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

    The restaurant looks more chic and fun on the outside than it actually is. Heavy drapes and staid decor seem not to have been updated in decades. Ditto for the staff attitudes: waiters are correct and responsive but not friendly. At $250 for a dinner for two, with a single cocktail, one glass of wine, and a shared dessert, the experience was distinctly disappointing. On the positive side, our dishes were well prepared and flavorful. A first course of baked clams was ample and excellent, as were main courses of salmon over fennel and grilled bronzini. On the down side, the wine list is impressive but only the most pedestrian wines are available by the glass and our waiter showed no interest in making suggestions appropriate to the dishes we'd ordered. I would not recommend this restaurant for anything but a traditional business occasion on a corporate tab.
