Located in Downtown Danville, Incontro Ristorante offers Italian cuisine from all the regions of Italy. We offer signature dishes like our famous gnocchi, lasagna, comfort food and more as well as daily specials. We offer upscale casual indoor dining in the historic Hartz House and outdoor dining in our garden patio. You can enjoy live music on the patio during the dry months. The word Incontro means encounter, signifying the coming together of family and friends in a lovely and family friendly atmosphere while dining and enjoying wine from Italy and California. Our indoor and outdoor full bar offers classic and signature cocktails. House made Focaccia is served with your meal. All our sauces and desserts are made in house. We offer brunch buffet on Sundays (except holidays) and lunch on Saturdays. Parking is easy in our private parking lot off of Railroad Avenue.

                        It was a quiet Sunday night, and we were given a great table on porch, so it was like eating outdoors and indoors; I think those are the best tables in the restaurant. They start you off with delicious complimentary bread, which so many restaurants have discontinued. The beet salad is great and perfect for splitting. All the main dishes were very good to excellent. The gnocchi are always great. The salmon was very good and the pasta with pesto and shrimp was excellent. They have great Tiramisu. We had a reasonably priced Montepulciano that was very good and went nicely with all the mains. Service was very friendly and attentive. It couldn't have been much better.

                        I recently had the pleasure of dining at this outstanding Italian restaurant, and everything from start to finish was exceptional. The food, service, and ambiance all hit the mark perfectly. The standout of the evening was the Rigatoni Special — absolutely amazing! Rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, it was a true highlight. Every bite brought the taste of Italy right to the table. You can tell the chefs put real passion into every dish. The staff was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome without being intrusive. The setting was cozy yet elegant — ideal for a romantic night out or a relaxing dinner with friends. If you’re craving authentic Italian cuisine that delivers on every level, look no further. Highly recommend!

                        Waiter seemed judgy until he made a mistake. Then he was suddenly nice. Owner came out (routine, i didnt complain about anything) and was extremely nice.

                        Another great meal. Love the food at Incontro. Service is great, maybe a little slow but not bad. Definitely our go to spot for special occasions. Look forward to the next visit.

                        Needed a restaurant in a pinch and gambled on this spot with no recommendation. Loved it. I had the pork chop and it was fork tender. They treated the kids well too which is a huge plus in my book. Will go back for sure!
