Wild Caddis, is the fine dining restaurant at the Rainbow Ranch Lodge.

It’s known that a great meal is an experience that involves all of the senses. Wild Caddis is proud to offer world-class Montana ranch-to-table cuisine, originating from the finest and freshest products available. We use the highest quality, fresh, locally grown, and conscientiously raised products from regional producers, which help inspire us to create culinary and visual masterpieces.

Wild Caddis dining is rustic-modern, relaxed, but refined, with unsurpassed views of the majestic Gallatin River running by the lodge. Everything about our dinner was fabulous. We shared 4 small plates and a dessert, enjoying each one as much as the other. The baby spinach salad with Brie vinaigrette was outstanding! The ceviche was delicious and quite a generous portion. Seafood stew and mushroom goat cheese wontons were equally amazing. Our waitress recommended the chocolate lava cake with a house-made specialty ice cream. It was outstanding! We sat on the deck and enjoyed stunning views with a peaceful view of the river. Service was fabulous… we will be back!

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Wild Caddis. My husband and I loved the huckleberry sauce on the chicken dish. It was paired with mashed potatoes and asparagus. YUM!

Wonderful food in a quiet lodge. On the edge of the Gallatin River. The dinner I had was creative, exceptionally well prepared, and beautifully presented.

Stunning location with views of the river and mountains. The lodge is beautiful. The service was exemplary and the food and drinks absolutely delicious. Thank you! ❤️

Wild Caddis is a gem - all around fabulous experience but the food takes center stage. Our party of 4 all ordered different meals and desserts. We ate family style and decided no one meal was better than the other- all delicious. Looking forward to summer bbq’s here!

We learned on our first trip to Big Sky that the area is not known for its food. Actually the food every where is bad but this place was one of the worst. Have you ever heard of cooked ceviche? No because ceviche is not cooked! But at this place it was. Beef Bourgogne was a saucy chewy mess. Lamb shank was hacked in the strangest way and flavorless.

Valentina, We're very sorry about your experience, we did offer a grilled seafood dish as a special that was grilled briefly for smokiness and marinated "cooked" in citrus but shouldn't have been merchandized as cooked ceviche. You mentioned "Beef Bourgogne", it's actually Bison Bourguignon and bison is a leaner meat but should still be tender, and our lamb shanks should fall off the bone, but should not be flavorless. We will review each of your observations with the team and we take feedback to heart, especially the ones that don't have an exceptional experience! Regards, Ranch Ambassador

It was a very nice experience. Was not sure what to expect but food and wine were both very good and all enjoyed their meals. I am sure it is beautiful in the warmer weather with views off the porch

Don’t waste your time or money at this retched place. Rude slow waitress, poorly prepared food, etc. Don’t bother with this place. There are far better options.
