Our seasonal menu focuses on housemate pastas, vegetable antipasti and daily specials, all crafted with ingredients sourced from quality artisans, purveyors, and local farmers. The first thing we were greeted by was an energetic host who showed us to our table followed by a simple menu with many options and well described dishes. The waitress heard we were vegetarian and began listing pasta dishes they can customize to make vegetarian to fit our needs as well as her recommendations. We ordered the garlic bread and the vodka sauce pasta and were not disappointed. The garlic bread was a whole loaf and a gentleman came and poured hot oil over the loaf to finish it off and I am not exaggerating by saying its the softest and most fresh garlic bread ive ever had. Very flavorful. Pasta did not disappoint either as it was filled with flavor. Ambiance was great and quite loud enough so you cant hear conversations a few tables away but can hear your party speak perfectly fine.

Vodka rigatoni was very good! My fiancé had the lasagne and he said it was really good too! We ordered the garlic bread as a starter and it was delish. Loved the ambiance of this place.

Solid comfort food. Good salad, excellent artichoke appetizer. Garlic bread could have used more garlic (plenty buttery). Chicken Vesuvio good but bone-in would have been better. Lasagna pretty good if a little too sweet. Excellent service, loved the old school vibe.

The food was simply incredible. I ordered the gnocchi bolognese. It was a little spicy, which I personally enjoyed. My wife ordered the ravioli al forno, which was one of the best pasta dishes either one of us has ever tasted. The garlic bread was to die for as an app, and the bomboloni for dessert were light, fluffy, and very warm, as they should be. We’ll be back on our next trip to Chicago!

I absolutely adore the staff that works here! They are so kind and are knowledgeable when it comes to the menu and wine selections. Even though we were running late for a reservation, we called to let them know and they were very accommodating and we got seated shortly after arriving.

Everything was amazing, the only thing that could’ve made it better would be being sat somewhere else besides the table RIGHT next to the server station. Especially since we made a reservation and I’m pretty sure the hostess gave walk-ins a better table …

Our first time here was outstanding! The food was amazing, and our server was attentive and knowledgeable with great suggestions for us. The pasta, house-made bread, appetizers and wine were delicious and reasonably priced. We'll definitely return!

8:15pm reservation, seated at 8:45pm. No server for water until 9pm. Then took 10 minutes to come back take drink orders, we ordered all at once because server was too busy for us. Food wasn’t slow to come out, must have been the server.

On a friends recommendation we went to il Porcellino for dinner last night. The service was terrible, long waits between courses and our server literally ignored us throughout the evening. Food was not good, limited menu and our pasta dinners were bland and not good. I could’ve made better spaghetti and meatballs at home. We will not return.

The food was pretty good in terms of flavor. However, several of our dishes were undercooked (pappardelle and vesuvio potatoes). Service had some challenges. They brought us the wrong appetizer and it was extremely difficult to get a refill on drinks. We asked multiple waitstaff over an extended period of time. The atmosphere was great. We loved the decor, music, and overall ambiance.

We had a great time. Dan (Sam?) was our waiter and he was a top pro. He made the right suggestions and took care of us without being intrusive. I'd go back to the restaurant just for him!

We had the absolute best time. From the host who sat us to the serving staff everyone was terrific. The food was outstanding. I went with the traditional pasta and meatballs and my husband had the raviloi. Above all else the music playing was also the best. We will be back and highly recommend it to everyone.

The owner was very accommodating putting our groups together last minute. Service was great, food was great.. menu was small but just right.. wonderful ambience.. our server was on top of it with his tables and service… they have private rooms with a bar for private parties.. I would definitely go again and recommend to anyone I know..

I am not sure why I made a reservation, and told them we were celebrating our anniversary. We were seated at a table that shared a server's station right off the bar on the East side of the restaurant dining room. Unfortunately for me the servers using the station at my back kept dropping things that hit my back! We have celebrated at il Porcelino in the past, but it may be time for a new restaurant.

Enjoyed it but felt tricked. Had a $280 credit and$20 birthday credit for wife (Bridget). Traveled 200 miles to visit then told we couldn’t use credits on a Saturday! Why?? Was really disappointing and you can guess how much we had to pay for a reception to get a $280 credit!

Food was great, service was great, got seated immediately even though we were 5 minutes early for the reservation. Our server had someone shadowing him for training and they were both super nice, everything came out quickly as well which was awesome. Even though the interior is pretty elegant you can dress casual and not feel unprepared. Definitely recommend
