We hosted a retirement dinner for a work colleague. We had a group of 10 and sat in the back garden. The food and service was excellent. Always challenging for the kitchen and wait staff when you have a large group. Medi made the evening very special. Very much appreciated.

Lighting wasn't great, to the point menu was difficult to read, and menu had a lot of options, just none of them actually seemed interesting. Maybe if the prices were lower we would have just picked something. We ended up leaving and going across the street to a different place, so maybe that invalidates this review.

What prompted us to try Medi for an impromptu reunion with another couple was its menu - many delicious sounding small plates. Other wine bars seemed more mundane. We shared fresh burrata with grapes and cherry tomatoes, kofte (flattened Turkish style meatballs) on triangles of pita with a yogurt sauce, and a delicious red beet salad with orange slices. And then had seconds! Plus a hanger steak shish kebab. The presentation was beautiful. The menu was full of other wonderful things but we realized there was still dessert to try, so we restrained ourselves. The wine was so good we shared a second bottle of Sancerre, although we could have gone our separate ways with different wines by the glass. We had only planned a short late-afternoon get-together and instead stayed a few leisurely hours. We sat in the garden which was very pleasant, although the pleasant dining room would be lovely for rainy weather or winter. The staff was exceptional, never making us feel rushed even though I'm sure other customers would have loved to have our particular table. The service was careful and unobtrusive. The ambiance was conducive to conversation, something that is often lacking in many restaurants. We will definitely come back every time we are in NYC. If it were in our hometown, we'd probably go 2-3 times a week.

The host was lovely, food was amazing, ambience was nice. Service was less than effervescent- drinks we slow, we did not receive an appetizer we ordered- told the waiter didn’t matter. Prix fixe came out timely - desert was brought out but if you didn’t order Prix fixe you didn’t get to order. Check came and that was it… done. Really disappointing for a restaurant that charges you a fee for a reservation fee. Management should be ashamed, they do not inspect what the expect. When I gave feedback I was offered shots on the way out, I’m not 17, do better.

The highlight of this restaurant - a lovely garden in the back, with multiple seating options. Our waiter was charming and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. There are great happy hour and pre-theater deals. Altogether, a lovely experience.

We were a bit frustrated by how expensive everything on the menu was, and with such limited options. We left feeling like we overspent on very mediocre portions, that we could’ve just made at home for a fraction of the price. For this price tag, if you want killer seafood, check out Blue 1 block down the road. That place blew us away and is about the same price, but way more worth it.

Funky, cozy atmosphere, with a partly open kitchen, and a nice bar. Also cellar downstairs, which is a charming spot to eat in. A large choice of options on the menu from small dishes and cheese and meat plates to more typical entrées. Very good food and outstanding service. Four of us shared two Greek salads and four small plates including zucchini fritters, a stuffed eggplant dish, meatballs and a cheese plate. Everything was excellent. A somewhat pricey wine list, but a few reasonably priced choices.

Our server repeatedly interrupted us how we were doing. We love good service but could barely keep up in a conversation. She must have come to our table 8 times in an hour. One of of our guests is immune compromised and had to don her mask at least 8 times. Food was terrific

Girls trip to NYC. We were seated in the basement wine room. So gorgeous. Our server Rodrigo gave great recommendations. The food was delicious! Starters, dinner, dessert and wine; all of it! Definitely recommend and will hopefully go back again.

The restaurant is beautiful hands down, the staff and service were remarkable, the food was delicious. I had the chicken pillard ( w/o bread) and my friend had the burger. We did the bottleless brunch. The drinks were great; we had the Bellini and Bloody Mary.

The food is good but not great. it’s cute and cozy inside. Pricing isn’t quite commensurate to portions or quality. Good for big groups since they have open tables but the waiters seemed agitated to have to serve 10 of us and kept interrupting our conversation to yell about who ordered what like a chain restaurant. 3/5

The food was very good! I just felt like it was a little over priced for what it was. The Buratta with prosciutto was perfect. We decided not to do a main meal, but lots a little appetizers. We had an amazing bottle of French rosé highly recommend it goes down smooth, and gives you a good little touch of tipsy.

I have never had a worse server. Asked our table inappropriate questions, really pushed a certain bottle of wine, forgot to put in our appetizer orders, literally took a piece of bread from the kitchen and was casually holding it and eating it when she came to check on us. Food was fine, but will never return.

Great Homemade pasta and fresh seafood. Specials were very unique. Tried something I have never had before it was excellent. Great wine cellar in fact our table was downstairs in the wine cellar it was very quaint and private there with wine stacked on the walls. Very nice room. If you do not mind spending g slightly more it’s well worth it. The homemade pasta is amazing the wine list and cellar are very good. Appetizers well rounded with different tastes for everyone. We will definitely eat here again our next trip to NYC. Our waitress was Fernanda she was excellent very knowledgeable about the many menu items as well as the specials and wine.

Innovative Mediterranean food, great service and not too far from Broadway. Tended to be pricey, but the food was terrific. I had the Truffle Gnochi. I expected a bigger portion, but the truffles were generous and it was honestly the best gnochi I’ve ever had.

Great spot for a meal before or after a show at Lincoln Center. I enjoyed the dinner prix fixe menu (dipping tray, gnocchi, and panna cotta). Service was attentive, friendly and quick. I'll be back in the future, for sure!
