Dinner: Sunday - Thursday: 5:00pm - 11:00pm, Friday - Saturday: until 1am
Great ambiance, music was on point, service impeccable, and good food.
The food was excellent, but there is need to overdress.
We took our daughter for her 21st birthday. It was wonderful.
Did not like the restaurant or the service! I was told to remove my hat, which was confusing because the doorman had on a hat so did others in the restaurant. I felt like I was being picked on for no reason and it made me very uncomfortable.
The music can be a little loud. You won’t be able to listen to the conversation taken place!
Delicious food. Great drinks. Service was good as well.
Wonderful ambiance. Good portions of food.
Great food, this is my 6x time coming here and the food is consistently great!!!
The food was great and worth the price. Excellent service from the waiter, but I had a late reservation and asked for him a slice of cake and for them to sing happy birthday to my boyfriend however, no one came to the table. I assumed that because they were beginning to close no one came with the slice or to sing and it wasn’t added to my bill either. But, it’s common curtesy to notify someone that you are no longer going through with what they agreed on.
Other than that everything was great!
Delicious food, large portion sizes, good drinks, great atmosphere, friendly staff, great background playlist.
When we arrived, we were super excited as throwback music was being played (we love it). We sat for 20 minutes and no one came to serve us. We had to flag someone down and ask if we could be served. The original server began serving others that came after us, but luckily another server kindly let us know he would be serving us. The food was good!! Pricey, but good. Overall it was a good experience. Maybe the servers should know their section and be more attentive.
Celebrating my husband’s birthday.
I heard about Soco from a few friends and promised if I was ever in Brooklyn, NY, I’d stop by. The decor was just okay so I was kinda underwhelmed at first. I think I expected a more modern/ upscale/ stylish “look”...BUT- omg- the food and the service was superb! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The drinks were also fantastic! You MUST try the jalapeño cornbread and the macaroni and cheese (served in a cast iron skillet). I can’t wait to go back!
The music is moderately loud (we went on a Friday night) and the lights were pretty low... so check their schedule if you want a quiet night out.
After my initial plans for my birthday fell through ☹️ I scrambled to find something to do in order to celebrate my day. I’d heard about SoCo for awhile and decided to go and eat there. I’m so glad I chose it as the food was delicious (I had the Cajun Seafood Pasta), the drinks were really good, and the staff were extremely courteous. It was a wonderful end to my birthday. I will definitely be returning.
Great food, management and staff very attentive. Food was out quickly and delicious. We were sat quickly.
I chose this place to get together with family and friends . Our Waiter Brian was attentive and food was great. The live music was a plus . The selections played by the violinist was great to set ambiance .
I’ve been here a few times before. The food is great! This time was to celebrate my Dad’s birthday, with my brothers. The servers are amazing, especially Tori! She’s attentive and very sweet!! I left a note on the opentable app about putting a candle on the dessert, didn’t think they would see it (it’s happened before at other restaurants)... but when we arrived, the hostess discreetly double checked with me. Dinner was appetizing and we’ll all be coming back!
It was my first time at Soco's but definitely not my last! Their food is excellent and their service is the same.
Our party was late to arrive but they worked with us to keep our reservation.
Been out of NYC for about a year now, and the first place I wanted to return to is BROOKLYN. Soco really gave me that nostalgia of NYC and great dining. Happy my sisters and I selected it. Great food and service. Just what I expected.
I always love coming to socos whether it be with friends or a date. Food is always great and ambiance was amazing. Love the music
Great brunch foods!!! Eclectic crowd. Awesome service.
Wonderful food as always . I do wish that the music choice for Sunday brunch was a little more family friendly. Some jazz would be nice, didn’t really appreciate hearing Big Sean “ I don’t F with you” uncensored while trying to enjoy brunch.
Overall it was excellent. Made reservations for my birthday for 6 people and when we arrived we were seated right away. Unlike some places where you make reservations and still have to wait. Service was great and food was delicious! My only quarrel is the music can be a little loud but this place is great otherwise.
I have been to Soco a few times over the years. It had always been a place I enjoyed for the food and ambiance. This time I took my mother for her birthday. I was disappointed at the sound level of the music. It was very very loud. I could not carry on a conversation with my mother across the table from me. It made the dinner very uncomfortable. In the future I will stick to brunch. Maybe it is quieter that time of day versus for dinner.
My husband and I were trying to grab dinner. The music was cool. The Sangria was on point. Brian, our waiter, was very attentive and sweet. The staff was amazing! The menu though was unimaginative. We had our drinks, an app and left. Soco, go back to your former glory.
It was great. The service was amazing. Lucas was the best.
Made reservation for birthday weekend dinner for 4.. Atmosphere was great for young vibrant diverse people .. enjoyed my sangria, appetizers, main course and desserts.
Food was good. Pass on the cocktails.
Celebrated a Birthday for a friend. We all enjoyed the food- served piping hot and very tasty. Everything was served timely and we were checked on regularly and never felt over looked.
The red velvet waffles and fried chicken was delicious. Will definitely be back.
They need to have better drinks selection. The cups are too small!!!!
I had chicken and waffles and the chows very salty. Waffles was too sweet.
We ordered deviled egg which was all thought was salty as well.
My favorite spot! Always satisfied when i leave ! I can’t wait to go back and bring some different friends ..
My first time at arriving at Soco ..it was perfection. Unfortunately my second visit only had great service. The gumbo I ordered lacked seafood unlike the first time I ordered 2 weeks prior. My main entree was the chimichurri steak. Was just not a great cut. It was very tough and I did order it medium well just like I ordered it my first visit. I had high expectations because of the first experience there with friends. I raved about it to family members and it just wasn’t the same. Even my drink was better before! I personally won’t come back because I’m too passive when it comes to eating out!
One of my favorites! I highly recommend Soco!
I usually get the Bbq chicken but I decided to switch up and try their chicken and waffles and as usual, Soco did not disappoint!
Our table ordered ribs, chicken sandwich entree, pork chop entree, sausage and grits and strawberry French toast.
The toast was sent back due to its mushy texture and sweetness.
Our sides were mac n cheese, popcorn shrimp and cornbread, they were all delicious.
The sodas tasted moldy. Very weird. Disappointing.
The lemonades and sweet tea was expected sweet and refreshing.
The waiter pretty much decided since it was a table of six and his gratuity was already included he didn’t have to check in on us or pay us any mind.
He tried to make my friend feel like an idiot for not knowing how to answer her on if she wanted her salmon rare to well done . Which come on let’s face it .. it’s not all that common of a question .
Also I know this isn’t the red lobster and there’s no birthday song but I informed the restaurant prior to arrival and also while there the reason for our visit which was my Bestfriend’s 25th birthday . He didn’t even tell her happy birthday . Im sure they got ice cream or something in the back to make her feel special . If he was the owner of soco I would never come back . He took so long to check on us that we just wanted to finish eating and get the hell out of there which sucked because this is my third time at soco but this was by far the worst out of my visits.
Also it was freaking FREEZING in there . Had us feeling like we was at the meet market . It’s mid September turn the ac down wth .
I went with friends to celebrate a birthday. I had the lobster and shrimp grits and it was delicious. We shared sides of Mac and cheese and okra with tomatoes. Both were delicious and plenty enough to share.
This was my first time at socobk, not only was the staff friendly, the food and drinks was absolutely amazing.
