   Once again, a great dining experience in one of our favorite neighborhood spots. Friendly, efficient service, everything came as ordered. Nice wine selection by the glass. The pizzas from the wood fired coal oven are really spectacular. Great choice of other entrees and pastas, too.

   The food is consistently good—not wildly creative but good. The service was poor and the noise level high—it was a Saturday night, unusually crowded—and there appeared to be only one waiter handling all of the tables. First time I had that experience. Suggests you are better off there on week nights.

   The restaurant has gone down hill. We have been there a dozen times over the past few years. The food is now mediocre and the service is poor — borderline rude even. Don’t waste your time and money there anymore. Too bad...

    I was surprised that the restaurant was pretty empty for Saturday dinner. There was a decent number at the bar, but only 1 table occupied. (Perhaps that shows the average-ness of this place ) The menu options were decent, and the buffalo mozzarella caprese was nice. But the mains were lacking something special. My friend indicated her salmon could have used an accompanying sauce, and my marinara seemed a bit too watered down. Overall, the meal filled us up, but I wouldn't go back specifically.

    Food was quick and easy and very tasty. The soup comes in a large bowl; we thought at the price it would have been a cup. Nice surprise. Definitely a good place for a good tasty meal

    We dined early - 5:00. Only three other tables were seated while we were there. Nice and quiet - easy to converse (even the background music was low!). Nice staff, good food.

    This place has phenomenal food . My boyfriend (who is Italian American and extremely picky) and I were blown away by the food. Highly highly recommend their pizzas, lasagna, and spinach fettuccine.

    I have reviewed Acqua before and we have always loved it. This time around, both our artichoke appetizers and my homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli were WAY too salty. Someone had a heavy hand with the shaker that night and it wasn't pleasant.

    I went there for Sunday brunch. Friendly staff. Sat inside while the doors were open to the patio outside; relaxing atmosphere. Limited menu, but the food was scrumptious.

    Service is always friendly and efficient. It's a fine neighborhood restaurant and a good value especially if you're bringing the whole family. Salads and pizzas are always a good bet as are things like lasagna and simple pasta dishes. The wine list is limited, but all selections are good quality and reasonably priced. Reliable!!

    We have been frequenting Acqua since we moved to the neighborhood 11 years ago, but this visit was the best one ever. Everything we ordered was top notch... fried artichokes perfectly crispy, lasagna flavor blends and textures were inspired and my pizza was to die for. New chef? New owners? Not sure because the personality of the place was the same friendly, relaxed vibe as ever, but the food was a step up from something that was already great!

    We always love dining at Acqua. Looks like they may have changed hands or hired a new chef, but everything was still very high quality -- our friends at Paleo-friendly, my husband had calamari and orechiette with broccoli rabe and sausage and I had my usual fried artichokes and quattro stagione pizza. Yum!

    Overrated and overcrowded . Almost impossible to hear over the crowds with children. Extremely gross restroom. Food was decent but indifferent service and restaurant was so cold I had to eat in my coat.

    Very casual and the food is pretty reliable. The pizza is always good. The acoustics are just so so cause even with not that many people it can get pretty noisy and makes it hard to hear what your dinner companion is saying

    We are not often in this neighborhood. But we had tickets to Symphony Space. This restaurant was excellent for pre-show dinner. The food is fresh; there is a wide selection; decent wines and wood-burning oven pizza. Prices were good. I would go again when I am in the area.

    We ate at Acqua before a performance at Symphony Space and it was perfect for that. The food is good and a nice selection of wines. Service was a little spotty...it looked like the waiter was very overworked and he did a good job whenever we were able to get his attention. It was also very noisy with bad acoustics so difficult to hear what others in our party were saying. It's not a restaurant I would go out of my way for but it's a very nice neighborhood place and perfect for a good meal before a performance at Symphony Space.
