   I made a reservation for 4 overlooking the harbor 3 months ago for a special occasion. The other couple got sick and unable to attend. I called to notify the restaurant and they were grateful that I called. I asked for a view of the harbor. When we arrived we got stuck in the nosiest table in the restaurant, next to a back service station not over looking the harbor. I asked to be changed but they could not accommodate us.

   Hands Down the best dinner, ambience & service on Nantucket South Shore. The Lobster Main Course was out of this world! They were extremely accommodating regarding any dietary restrictions. I would without a doubt highly recommend Straight Warf!

   Straight Wharf restaurant on Nantucket offers fresh seafood and beautiful water views. On this occasion, we sat outside which was lovely! We each ordered a fluke crudo appetizer to start. It was surprisingly small which was disappointing. For our entrees, we each ordered the sirloin steak, and it was asolutely delicious! We ordered our dessert with the meal because it takes a long time to prepare it. It was a scrumptious peach galette! Even the crust was amazing! However, we sat waiting for it to arrive for more than 25 minutes after finishing our main course, and I am a very slow eater! The server also took way too long to give us our check. We do recommend this restaurant although the service was slow and the appetizers were too small.

   Simply and totally delicious, great service, wonderful ambiance. The best "simple greens" salad I have ever eaten, makes you remember what greens are supposed to taste like. Yummy fish, and complimentary pate and bread. So many Nantucket restaurants are $$$$, but Straight Wharf was a perfect value.

   Our dinner at Straight Wharf was our favorite during our stay on Nantucket. Their menu is enticing and each course is artful and more importantly, delicious. The servers were gracious and skilled without hovering. The little extra touches that are provided elevated the experience too.

   In a town with many fine restaurants, this is one of the best. The food is inventive and delicious. The wine list is perhaps the best in town and we were given excellent suggestions. The service is top-rate and attentive. This would be a top choice for a special evening out.

   The Best on ACK. Food is delicious, ambience is Perfect Nantucket, and the sommelier (Yevva) made us feel we had won the lottery with service, cuisine, and expertise. SWR is at the top of its game and I can't wait for the game to keep getting better and more interesting!!!!

    Straight Wharf has everything I am looking for in a restaurant; great food and wine, superb and knowledgable service, tables are not too close together and the noise level is just acceptable.
