I absolutely enjoyed myself. The only negatives were; the restaurant was difficult to find and when I arrived they said there were no reservations. I told them I had one through open table they said they no longer do reservations through opentable but will still allow us in, I thought that was very unprofessional and I would have respected more if they would have gave me a call to let me know or even honor it anyway because the reservation was placed before they stopped using opentable.

First time here and it was a great experience. Food was great had the trout, that was a first as well. The Marshall Field was my drink of choice for the night it was good.. the best part was the view
Menu did not include allergies - so I got chicken but it came with nuts I did not know about. Food was good but much more expensive than other restaurants but I guess you’re paying for the view, which was great!

Totally unremarkable. The service was friendly but poor. During the entire meal my water glass was never refilled. Halfway through the meal I asked my wife: wasn’t I supposed to have gotten calamari and crab cake? The waiter had forgotten half my meal. To close the meal out I ordered coffee, which came to me room temperature. The view notwithstanding, this was a totally forgettable meal. Won’t be returning.
The hostess was nice but terrible at her job. Let 2 couples go in front of us and have us the worst seats in the room. Obstructed view when was promised to have a great view which was the only reason we made a reservation. I was starring at and office in the building which looked like a messy storage closet while my boyfriend was staring at the tip of the building across the street. Did not get the experience we were looking for. Paid full price but treated like the people who posted reviews on travel zoo. I thought since I was not paying with a discount rate that I would get first class service. Should have booked through travel zoo and save money because the service was equally terrible.
Advertised for the view but they put us in the middle of a room. Service was pathetic. Waiter did not know what he was doing. Assistant had to be asked for things multiple times. Group of 11 we were never asked to speak with the host. Ordered drinks from all so when bottles of wine ordered others received other glasses. Scallops were served cold. Steak was not prepared with the ingredients from the menu. All main courses served with sides even though the menu stated steak and .... were without sides. Therefore we ordered extra sides. Reservation was for 10. CLled the restaurant and stated 11. Was that an issue. Was told no problem. Asked how I could change the reservation and they stated they would take care of it. Well to say the least they did not. 10 was the number the table was set for and could accommodate comfortably. They fit an 11th chair so we were jammed.
I expect the service like this at an Applebee’s. Not at the price point. Wine was good.
At least that made the rest palatable.
Loved the ambiance and the food. The service was awesome and it was a perfect setting to celebrate a special occasion.

Love this club. Wish it were open to the public. Used a TravelZoo voucher. Third time we’d done so. Service is professional yet friendly. Ask for Victor. Food is excellent. Can’t beat the views. Period. We were here 2 1/2 hours. No kidding. Eating, talking, catching up with friends. Such a special evening
Took 5 minutes for someone to seat us. The food was mediocre at best. Ordered Brussels sprouts from the menu. Said it had onions on it. It came out with onions and bacon. No mention of bacon on the menu. Got buffalo cauliflower. There were maybe 10 small pieces on the dish. Drinks were good though.
Bought voucher on TravelZoo. Second experience in 7weeks. Special occasion with 3 girlfriends from Miami and Honolulu. Asked forVictor. Disappointed when he was serving other tables. Our server forgot our wine order. Arrived as we finished entrees. Not good. Told manager who awarded us 10 percent credit. Would have preferred the wine to have arrived but appreciated the gesture. Have one more voucher for 4. Using in September. So we’ll see.

They changed a lot and not for the better. This use to be a great place for a romantic dinner, but now this is not the place. The biggest factor on going here is that you are on the 67th floor. With the new updates the lights are so bright that you cannot see anything out the windows besides your reflection, so you do not get to see much outside. The seating is strange and many seats do not face towards the windows. There is a random 20% extra charge, so you should just add an extra 20% onto whatever you order. There was a lot of things that turned me off of this place. There are a lot better options in the city of Chicago.
Do not go. The new remodel is less than fancy and traps a lot of noise. Is minimalist the new style or did they just decide to go cheap? The hostess was rude and not helpful. Our server was great, but the food was mediocre at best. In a town like Chicago, I am not sure why anyone would go to the Metropolitan Club for dinner when it is not special in any way but the prices suggest that they feel they are.
The restaurant changed since I was there in November of 2016. We were seated in the bar area and not the nicer dining area. Food was good but they added a 20% fee to the bill. Still do not know what that was for. I am an executive but felt like a street person based on the seating. Do not think I would return nor recommend this place to anyone.
I have to say that my experience at the Met was outstanding! The new renovation for the club is beautiful and the food and drink were fabulous!

I thought this was an opportunity to have lunch at this private club, where I have eaten before. The staff was confused, and when I asked for a menu, instead of the buffet, they sent me upstairs were I was denied service for not being a member. So, back downstairs to the 66th floor, where the views are nice, but the furnishings are awful. Bad looking banquet chairs, some I saw had tears in them. The food at the buffet was quite nice and the server was nice as well. The final bill for two people was $86.00, which based on the ambiance, I thought was a rip off. This is the first review I have ever written, because I thought whomever is next in line should know.
Loved the experience I had at this place! They just remodeled, so the ambiance is fresh and modern. The staff is very friendly and aims to please! A+!!!
The restaurant was undergoing a renovation. The temporary space was basically the type of room where you’d have a conference meeting. It was crazy bright and generic. The service was not what it should have been, though I’m sure the staff was still adjusting to what was where. I’m sure the new place will be amazing but this was just not what I expected, especially for a 40th birthday dinner for the hubby,

The Metropolitan is always classy, elegant, and delight for the palate. While it is currently limited seating during construction, I am looking forward to the renovations. I love dining here before we see the opera. It's the perfect beginning to a wonderful evening.
It was nice. I was having post Mother’s Day dinner with my mom and aunt. They enjoyed the view and the food.
We celebrated our anniversary with an incredible dinner. Reviews were mixed so we went in not sure what to expect. We were blown away by the fabulous service, the wonderful food including it’s presentation and priceless view of the city.
Hard to find, but when I got to the restaurant, the service was friendly. Yet, the food was mediocre at best. Either bland or over seasoned was the theme of the dinner. Will not go again.
Used to be great buffet. Food quality poor ; salmon fishy. Lamb livery my guest said potato salad tasted like BO. He took one bite.
Asked to speak with manager and after an hour had to ask again. We actually ate salad which was fine and a total of 5 bites.
I sent an email to your management team on 5/3 and have not received a response. The service experience was far below high level premium which was my expectation and it cost Club Corp a potential membership. I had a better experience when I originally went in 1993. Service didn’t compare to what it was back then. Very disappointed.
The food was not impressive at all. However the service and atmosphere were fantastic.
The food is excellent, and one cannot beat the view from 67 floors up in The Sears Tower...oops...Willis Tower.
The wife and I were finally able to have an evening out without the kid and we found a deal for the Metropolitan Club on Travel Zoo. Even though we were not club members and were using a coupon I felt as if we weren’t treated any differently(as can be the case at times). We were greeted at the front by our last name where our coats were hung. Our server was very professional as well as personable. He checked in with us just enough so as to not be overbearing or neglectful. Food was well prepared and arrived in a timely manner. Finally the view north over the city was amazing.
I purchased a $99 travelzoo voucher for the Metropolitan Restaurant in the Willis Tower and it was NOT the 1st year wedding anniversary dinner that I had planned.
Excluding the $41 parking, we then had to go through metal detectors twice as if we were going through airport security and were hiding something when they finally discovered it was my high heeled shoes that had a metal shank. I understand that security is necessary but boy was it so annoying!
Once we finally arrived to the restaurant and finished our meal, I received the bill when I noticed they charged my card $177. I was wondering why the bill was so high given the fact that they’ve already scanned my $99 voucher but I then realized that they obviously hadn’t taken it off the bill.
Unbeknownst to me they automatically charge a “Club Fee” of $27 which isn’t mentioned when you purchase the Travelzoo voucher. So essentially your voucher is really only worth $72 and not $99.
When I noticed the discrepancy, I complained about the price and told the manager to credit my card and utilize my $99/$72 voucher. I then specifically asked him not to void the charge but to actually return the amount but instead he charged me the $177 and an additional $68!!! Just a hot mess $268 later (including $41 parking). Will never be back and would not recommend!
Ambiance was stuffy and felt like a hotel restaurant and the food was good but not fantastic for the price and prestige.
I have been here before and have had good experiences. The place is smaller and noisy now and the waiter missed what I ordered.
Has always been my favorite restaurant in Chicago but as of recently they are undergoing construction of the main dining room which is the part with the best views. Open Table does not annotate this and not sure if the website does either. Not really worth going until the dining room is open again. The construction also made it a little confusing to find. Still the same menu and good food regardless.
First off, they had us down for a party of 2, even though it clearly shows in my reservation that it was for 3, thus irritating the gentleman who seated us. One of the reasons I chose this establishment for Easter Brunch was because of the view. However, our table was literally placed far away from the rest of the tables, near the bathroom and next to a window that was completely covered up, so no view for us. ASomeone had parked their double stroller in front of our table, where it remained well into our meal. The food was ok and the Easter Bunny was friendly. Service was ok as well, although our dirty plates sat for awhile on our very small table. Overall, a disappointment and would not recommend.
