Downtowner and Mo are ALWAYS AWESOME! Great food, great service, great atmosphere and a great place to meet. This is a consistent "go-to" for business meetings and always a top option before a MN Wild Game! I can't write enough good things about this restaurant.

We took our friends out to breakfast to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. We love the Downtowner as we are always assured of good food and good service. We love the atmosphere and the people are so friendly. They treated our friends to a yummy piece of cheesecake to celebrate their 50 years of happinesses. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!!!

We were in town for a wedding and staying at the Holiday Inn. We had breakfast on a Sunday morning after 10am Mass at the Cathedral. I made a reservation on Open Table to keep it easy. We showed up a few minutes early and they were ready for us. Everyone in our party of 6 loved their food. I had the corned beef hash and it was delightful. Our server, Aurora, was friendly and attentive. If I'm ever in town again, I'd definitely go there. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You'll be glad you did.

Always a great place to eat and celebrate an event is the Downtowner Woodfire Grill on 7th street in St. Paul. The food is always delicious and the service is the best in both Minneapolis and St. Paul. I eat out a lot.

Two friends and I had breakfast at The Downtowner this past week, and each of us enjoyed what we ordered. The server was with us promptly, took our orders, served coffee and tea, and brought our food with no delay. We appreciated nearby parking. and the quiet atmosphere. Recently I had been there on a Sunday, and it was very busy, but being there on a weekday proved to be very enjoyable. We hope to return, and we appreciated being able to make a reservation!

The food at Woodfire Grill was excellent. We had two steaks that each had incredible flavor. The service was outstanding. The only thing I would comment on that could have been better was the ambiance. The interior of the restaurant is very tired looking. Our booth had a large slit in the cushion. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience!

The Downtowner is never a disappointment. The subtle aroma of burning oak sets the mood as you walk in. It is quiet enough to allow for table conversation and the atmosphere has an elegant but comfortable feel no matter what your attire is. The food choices are unique and varied without being overwhelming. The presentation of the food is eye catching and matches the mouthwatering woodfired flavor. The wait staff are attentive without hovering. The pricing is competitive to similar caliber restaurants if not slightly lower. A nice evening out.

We enjoyed the Downtowner for dinner. Both selected fish and we were not disappointed, although the swordfish was a bit saltier than preferred. But everything was flavorful and the portions were generous. The service was leisurely so if that is normal I would budget time to linger. But we would happily return.
