Located on Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills, an upcoming Restaurant row is La Vigna Restaurant featuring Chef/Owner Giuseppe Vitale’s masterful interpretation of Italian cuisine. With the walls painted in the warm golden tones of an Italian villa and huge wood framed mirrors which expand the intimate space, it is perfect for smaller dinner parties. La Vigna also features a beautiful wooden bar with an excellent selection of Italian and Californian wines.

Chef Vitale, born in Naples, was a chef for Lidia Bastianich for many years, learning the mastery of her techniques at Felidia, Becco and her original location in Forest Hills, Bona Via. La Vigna's cuisine combines the ingredients of traditional Italian home cooking with a sophisticated touch haute cuisine.

Went to La Vigna for my birthday and had a fabulous time. The restaurant was able to accommodate us despite arriving 45mins early for the res. The waitstaff were tremendous and took deliberate care during the whole meal. The caprese was fresh, fried calamari, chicken parm, and bronzino were delicious. It wasn’t too busy for a Saturday night. To cap off the evening, the staff surprised us with wonderful chocolate mousse and port. I wish everyone in the neighborhood and the city should know this quaint and cute place more! It had great value for the buck.

Service was terribly slow and when our meal did come out one of two were wrong. It took another half hour for them to bring out the right meal and it was so salty I was unable to eat it. Not a good experience at all.

I love this restaurant it’s so perfect for a date night our waiter was so nice keep making sure we had everything we wanted. It’s was my first time there and I am already planning my next visit this is a nice date night spot as well as family I saw happening around the table, if you looking for a nice classy Italian restaurant guy this place a try

Nice ambiance. Good service and delicious food. The servings are on the small side and the entrees do not come with pasta or sides. All sides are at an additional cost. My only negative was that the waiter was advised a few times that we were celebrating a birthday but when the dessert was served, they did not light a candle or acknowledge the birthday so that was a bit disappointing.

Due to an absence in kitchen staff, service was overall slow! There was no Buss staff or bartender. Redeeming factor was certainly DELICIOUS food.
