    I would give this a 10 out of 5 stars if I could! This hidden gem is one of the best restaurants in the city and deserves more than its one Michelin star.

    A bit confusing on the menu, but the food is excellent. The portions are great to enjoy many foods without being stuffed. The staff helps guide you through the ordering process. A must try for anyone that wants a unique world class New York experience!

    Everything was amazing- 5 star all the way around. The caviar was delicious, as was the crispy rice, and the champagne pairing was on point. Service attitude made the experience even better.we will be back!

    First time here: The Pros - Attentive service, enjoyed the caviar, champagne and oysters. All great quality. The Cons - The music was thumping the moment we walked in giving a dance club vibe rather than romantic lounge. The DJ was great, had we been dancing or out with a high energy group. More for groups than couples. IMO

    The service is off the charts amazing. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The moment we stepped in we were greeted and given options on seating with a detailed description of each seating option and the associated menu. Next was the drink service - the bartender personally welcomed us and took our drink order, giving recommendations when asked. Finally the waiter - he was knowledgeable on all the menu items, made helpful recommendations on pairings and portion sizes, and was super friendly and timely with tending to the table. Not once during the meal did I feel as though we needed to ask for anything - even halfway through our dinner, our waiter reminded us of what we had told the host (we needed to leave by 9 for a 9:15 commitment), and he moved the courses along in order to achieve that for us. Such a great experience. The food was also incredible - we tried a caviar trio called “Distinction” and it arrived with all the expected accompaniments, but also an entire selection of different bases (blinis, latkes, toast points, etc) to choose from. We also enjoyed the steak tartare and the crispy rice (a must-try!). I loved the entire experience from start to finish, and will definitely be back.

    To have staff staring, stalking, snickering while trying to enjoy a special birthday lunch is unacceptable. Judging, making assumptions, and hating on your own customers went out in the eighties. Shame on this restaurant. This was purposeful, which was identified by them telling the reservation site that we failed to show, so we could not review this experience. However, they forgot about the credit card receipt. Thank you to Caviar Russe for ruining my son’s birthday, it will never be forgotten. Staff needs serious retraining.

    OpenTable and restaurant website both promoted a Sunday brunch for $85 and when we got there it was $120 per person. We even validated that very day that the pricing still showed $85 online. The food was just ok, definitely not worth $120 pp. Feels very deceptive and unethical as the site still says $85. We had major regrets after spending nearly $400 for a very average brunch and 2 drinks

    Very good restaurant The food and the service was very good. 3 comments : - the sofa where you seat should be replaced… not so clean - the plate could be a little bit more full - the price are a little high for a 1 star Michelin (based on my French experience) but it was NYC 🤗

    Last minute booking. Had the seafood tower and caviar supplement. Felt like food was average - Caviar exquisite but rest of seafood was typical. Felt a lot of upselling pressure, when we just wanted to relax and enjoy ourselves. Price value ratio not acceptable for seafood tower - seems like oysters were less fresh? Anyway will not recommend to others

    As usual, the food, service and ambience were perfect. This is one of our favorite New York restaurants, and it never disappoints us. If you want a wonderful setting with a highly professional staff, great champagne, top notch caviar and a professional kitchen you’ll enjoy yourself here.

    Have dined here twice. First at the fine dining on the second floor, second at the bar lounge on the first floor. Both experiences were great. Second floor fine dining experience was more formal and prettier, with nice decorations. First floor lounge experience was more casual. I wanted to try different dishes this time, so I chose to eat at the lounge at Caviar Russe. Food: Every dish was fresh. Mainly came her for the various Caviar tastings, which was nice. King crab, scallop and uni were tasty. But tuna was a bit too salty for me. Cocktails were refreshing and sweet. Also had Dom perignon champagne along with caviar. Service: Our server was attentive. He also brought us some dessert with a candle. Even though it was bar lounge menu items, the cost of the dinner came out to be almost 1000, which could be a cost if fine dining. Ambiance: I prefer the ambiance of fine dining room on the second floor. Would come back sometime for fine dining again!

    Expensive? Yes. But worth every. single. penny. We dine out very often and at the best restaurants. Caviar Russe is the most undiscovered secret in NYC. The food (quality and originality) and service is beyond compare. Truly. If you love caviar then it’s a no brainer, but the other food options - which are extensive- are incredible too. Upstairs is more quiet and reserved. Downstairs lounge more hip and now w DJ a little loud. But this is just always and consistently a very special and outstanding experience.

    What can I say!? Alway perfect. In from Chicago on our third visit to Caviar Russe and still delightful. Without exception, everyone provides service beyond amazing. Hope to return soon. Now it’s time for a nap.

    It was an amazing intro into caviar for me. One of my husbands favorite luxuries I found out. The presentation was impeccable and delicious, the small bites - king crab, bluefin tuna belly were finger licken good and the champagne and vodka were flowing. The service was exemplary. It’s a little hard on the old wallet but life is short and it was worth every extravagant penny.

    Service was, as always, impeccable. Love everyone. The caviar was amazing. The bread and pastry were outstanding. However, some of our dishes in the tasting menu were not excellent. The egg was swimming in the Parmesan foam. Too much. The hamachi dish was a bit dry. And we didn’t touch the Dover sole and nobody asked why. That’s what brought the overall rating down. Also, the chocolate dessert: ice cream: incredible. The chocolate itself: not so much.
