   Very good restaurant The food and the service was very good. 3 comments : - the sofa where you seat should be replaced… not so clean - the plate could be a little bit more full - the price are a little high for a 1 star Michelin (based on my French experience) but it was NYC 🤗

   Last minute booking. Had the seafood tower and caviar supplement. Felt like food was average - Caviar exquisite but rest of seafood was typical. Felt a lot of upselling pressure, when we just wanted to relax and enjoy ourselves. Price value ratio not acceptable for seafood tower - seems like oysters were less fresh? Anyway will not recommend to others

   As usual, the food, service and ambience were perfect. This is one of our favorite New York restaurants, and it never disappoints us. If you want a wonderful setting with a highly professional staff, great champagne, top notch caviar and a professional kitchen you’ll enjoy yourself here.

    Expensive? Yes. But worth every. single. penny. We dine out very often and at the best restaurants. Caviar Russe is the most undiscovered secret in NYC. The food (quality and originality) and service is beyond compare. Truly. If you love caviar then it’s a no brainer, but the other food options - which are extensive- are incredible too. Upstairs is more quiet and reserved. Downstairs lounge more hip and now w DJ a little loud. But this is just always and consistently a very special and outstanding experience.

    What can I say!? Alway perfect. In from Chicago on our third visit to Caviar Russe and still delightful. Without exception, everyone provides service beyond amazing. Hope to return soon. Now it’s time for a nap.

    It was an amazing intro into caviar for me. One of my husbands favorite luxuries I found out. The presentation was impeccable and delicious, the small bites - king crab, bluefin tuna belly were finger licken good and the champagne and vodka were flowing. The service was exemplary. It’s a little hard on the old wallet but life is short and it was worth every extravagant penny.

    Service was, as always, impeccable. Love everyone. The caviar was amazing. The bread and pastry were outstanding. However, some of our dishes in the tasting menu were not excellent. The egg was swimming in the Parmesan foam. Too much. The hamachi dish was a bit dry. And we didn’t touch the Dover sole and nobody asked why. That’s what brought the overall rating down. Also, the chocolate dessert: ice cream: incredible. The chocolate itself: not so much.

    Exquisite! Had a fantastic time during happy hour on a Friday night. The music and ambiance were just right, cozy, no loud talkers, and cool house music. Food was exceptional! Their happy hour deal is such a hidden gem. Will definitely come back and put Caviar Russe on my regular restaurant rotation.

    Hands down one of the best meals I have had in New York and this is coming from a native New Yorker. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the caviars and the wine list was expertly curated. I will be dining here again, and often.

    I had originally booked the lounge, but was told the lounge became booked and that they needed to move us to the dining room upstairs where we have eaten for years. It’s terrific, but wanted my wife to try the lounge. I am fine with it, but was disappointed that I found out only two days before our dinner. Once again, however, the food and service were exceptional. We really enjoyed it!

    Exceptional restaurant, though quite expensive. Superb food, service, attentiveness and ambiance. The bar and lounge are perhaps the most beautiful in New York. But be prepared to pay for the experience!

    Been going Dec 30 for many years. I buy caviar for nye before l leave. It is always a memorable experience. You get to feel like royalty for a meal. The wine list is superb. The service is perfect. The food is indescribable.

    At the top of the list in New York! The waiter moved us to the corner table! Caviar was great, fresh, cold, like it should be. The food is great and unique! We'll go back again and again. Great view of Madison Ave. on the second floor corner table.

    Was bit too casual (i.e., noisy and frenetic). Music was not only loud, but also not an elegant playlist for a brunch-type atmosphere of such an elegant parent restaurant. Really expected the Lounge environment to be in keeping with the "upstairs", but even at a 12:30 luncheon, it had "nightclub" vibes. It was a good Happy Hour atmosphere - except it was nowhere near happy hour times. The food was only average, nothing special. After over $500 for two persons, I kinda expected "more". Very inelegant overall.

    Yes, Caviar is expensive, but you know that going in and if you are going to indulge in this decadent treat Caviar Russe is the place to do it. The incredibly educated, professional staff will guide you from your champagne choice to your caviar selection should you need it. If not just enjoy the magnificent beauty of the dining room and let all your senses soak in this special experience.

    Insanely overpriced for what it offers. The seafood "tower" (which was a small bowl, in reality) cost $175 for 5 pieces of shrimp, some oysters, and like two ounces of sashimi. If you're going out and planning on spending about $400 to dinner, just go to Atera, Aska, Aquavit, or really any of the other two michelin star restaurants in the city. I would recommend them all over Caviar Russe due to value.
