My favorite restaurant in NYC. My wife and I try to go for lunch/dinner as often as we can. CT to Ditmars Blvd. You listen to the 40 specials your waiter outlines - and you have to have one of them.

I had never been to the restaurant before, but my honey had several times, and it is where she wanted to dine for her birthday. Everything was splendid; they placed a candle on the Napoleon, and sang Happy Birthday, and a great time was had by the both of us. Certaintly, an afternoon to remember.

The tables were too close. The customers at the nearest table kept banging into the back of my chair. Even some of the waiters did that, too. And it was so terribly noisy we could hardly hear each other's conversation. I don't believe I will be back anytime soon. (As a whole, the food - with the exception of the tuna tartare - was very good.)

The food is always on point and Edwin our server not only knew the menu and the extensive specials extremely well, did not even need to read off from notes which is always a not to proper attention to detail and taking one’s job seriously but, he also provided stellar service with warm hospitality. I Always recommend this establishment and Rocco’s food.

The food, service and experience here is amazing. They have a great menu, but they have so many specials that I highly recommend going for one of the specials. The service was very friendly and quick and the appetizers/dinner entrees were delish. I would definitely come back. Thank you Rocco and staff for a great night!

Always an amazing experience. It’s our favorita Italian restaurant to go. Carlos is an incredible host, we love the guy. The chef OMG he takes time to come a greet at least 95% of the customers, we love him too. Carlitos and the other waiters were fantastic and the attention was excellent. Thank you all for always making our experience amazing. Jesus and Nina!

The food is simply incredible. The menu is fabulous, but the list of specials is even more spectacular. The service is off the charts, and everyone is made to feel special. Chef Rocco works the room on occasion is such a dynamic and kind gentleman and what a chef! We had such a beautiful time with our family. We can't wait to go back.

This was our first time at Trattoria L'incontro, and it was recommended to as as being a really good Italian restaurant. Even with a reservation we waited more than 30 minutes to be seated. The food was good, but the calamari rings too large in the fried calamari appetizer. The wait staff was excellent, and very welcoming. This place was noisy! I have never been in a place that tolerates patrons yelling across the room to other people. It's doubtful we would ever go back.

This restaurant never disappoints! Came for my mother’s birthday. Staff is always so pleased, professional and accommodating. The food is exceptional! We started with a fig and prosciutto salad, zucchini flowers and grilled octopus each so delicious. Osso bucco was on the special list and I was in heaven, meat fell off the bone, flavor was on point and not salty as it sometimes can be and it was plated with perfectly cooked gnocchi. Dessert was ricotta cheesecake and a Nutella filled zeppoli, yum

The restaurant is very consistent. It does well on things that many restaurants miss. Very good bread and solid espresso. Plus, pasta is cooked the way it should be. Stuffed pork chop special was outstanding.
