I had made dinner reservation for my birthday Sept 2nd. Reservation were confirmed and accepted. Upon arrival I was told they are closed for the evening as they been busy with a pool party during the day. I am very disappointed. I came from out of town and this booking was for my birthday. If there was a pool party during the day then my reservation should have not been accepted.

Two of us ordered seafood. It seemed very fresh. Portion size perfect for woman who ordered one meal, and plenty for others to share. The ambiance was a young, European, cocktail and dinner vibe. The restaurant and bathrooms seemed clean and the latter modern, despite outside location, which would be best not to go alone. Robust host//bouncer was present at the door.

Great space lined by thousands of vinyl LP's on shelves. Food was quite good. Service was supremely friendly though not well trained by standards of table service, which was more funny than annoying. Really the only place in this part of the Tenderloin to have a nice sit down meal and proper cocktail.

Girls Night out to concert in town, service was fantastic and the food was delicious, reviews were why we came in cause from the outside you would it know the gem inside! Would definitely recommend!

This review maybe a little more positive than most if only because I haven't been out to a nice restaurant, where I felt comfortable sitting inside, and enjoying a really delicious meal since before the pandemic. And though I personally don't feel comfortable anywhere without still wearing a mask, they made me feel welcome and our table was far from other patrons yet still close enough to the fireplace to enjoy the ambience. The food was fantastic my date said her salmon was cooked to perfection and I truly enjoyed the crispy fried tofu. The cocktails were mixed professionally and a server was awesome. I look forward to going back next time I'm in The City.

Pre-theater dinner for 5 in warm, cozy, vinyl-record lined space. Menu had some interesting dishes, bit different to all the upscale Italian themed places in this part of town. Good cocktails. Food was tasty and delicious. Service attentive and knowledgeable. The neighborhood is not great but inside the restaurant you’d never know what was going on outside. Would definitely eat here again.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. This last visit, planned a group work dinner because we knew everyone would enjoy it. Little sketchy in the area but the restaurant more than makes up for it. Highly recommend!

The place is surrounded by homeless people smoking speed and crack on the sidewalk directly outside the restaurant. The local police officer hangs out inside the restaurant instead of chasing them off (badge hanging around hi neck, not a security guard patch). I found the decor offensive and wouldn't take a kid here (decor theme is naked women and guns). The food was ok. The focaccia was inedible (made with canola oil soaked through as far as I could tell). Service was good. The wait staff were very prompt and professional. I won't ever go back here, though. I didn't feel safe and was offended. Homeless men hit on me multiple times as I walked in with my husband arm in arm. Trash covered the sidewalk. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The food was quite good, prepared well. The challah french toast was very good, my grandniece ate every bite. The potatoes were very tasty. The bottomless mimosas were very good, nice juice choices. The walk to the restaurant was a bit sketchy but maybe Uber/Lift/cab next time but there will be a next time.

The area was questionable - as we walked there before the theater production there were drug transactions going on right on the corner where the motel/restaurant are. We were so uncomfortable that we waited for a Lyft afterwards and waited right in front of the lobby - and that didn’t even feel super safe. Food was disappointing. The salmon appetizer came with a painfully salty slaw of some sort. We mentioned it to the server as we thought there must be something wrong and the kitchen should know. She didn’t take it off the bill and didn’t ever say anything more about it. Halibut was way over cooked, lentils were flavorless. Steak was okay. All overpriced for what it was. Space was nice though - plenty of indoor space to feel like we weren’t right on top of other diners and the outdoor dining space looked cute from what we could see.

The food was terrific and the ambiance really nice. I loved the hipster vibe of this place. I wish the staff had paid more attention to us however...they were having many animated conversations amongst themselves, which is nice for them I guess, but we got pretty poor service as a result.

We had a great outdoor meal with superb service. Perfectly cooked steak, amazing crispy Brussels sprouts, wonderful cocktails. Very pleasant pre-theater meal.

We brought our small dog so opted to dine outside. We had the whole outdoor patio next to the pool to ourselves. They have heatlamps and a great plastic barrier so we can view the beautiful pool and firepit table while staying toasty warm. Even though we were the only ones outside the servers checked on us enough to keep us happy and well-served all of them friendly and never forgot when we asked for something. The food was yummy and had plenty of veggie dishes for our vegetarian.

The food was very good amd tasty, but the menu is limited and differs from online. No ice tea, no draft beer and server wasn't sure if they had mustard, but did find it. Service was attentive and excellent. Not located in the best area but they do have secruity. There was a discrepancy in the points. The site showed 1000 point reservations, but we were only awarded 100 points. Open Table customer service did correct the points.

We really enjoyed our time at Chambers. It felt like a little oasis in the city. I especially loved the 2 cocktails I had--the Vodka Drink and the Frozé. They were both so perfectly made and absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and excellent and the atmosphere was so fun and cool. Sitting outside near the pool was delightful (and is such a rare treat in SF). Looking forward to coming back here again soon.

One might be daunted by the location and find the entrance difficult to uncover but one enters a oasis of great food and music. Ask to sit poolside if you can. Quite an unforgettable experience.

This place rocks! The decor, indoor & outdoor, is stylish without trying too hard. Most importantly, the staff is low key amazing. They're friendly and thoughtful. I ate outside with my friend on a sunny weekend & we soaked up the poolside vibes while eating delicious food. Highly recommend this place!

Only 1 waitress serving the entire restaurant so service was very slow. The food was presented well however quality was very poor. Lamb burger bun was dry. Chicken for arroz con pollo was dry as well. The ingredients for arroz con pollo did not tie well together. Drinks were good, I have been here before for the bar, but would not recommend the food at all.

Super happy with our choice. The inside was so pleasant and chic! The crowd was nice and semi intimate. The staff was amazing! Appreciate everyone who works there, especially Charlie! He went above and beyond for our group of 4 ladies! Thank you once again, we will def come back!

Eating outside in the courtyard (in February) was like a welcome oasis in the otherwise iffy neighborhood. Plenty warm, spacious, totally relaxing, far from the madding crowd -- highly recommended!

I love the retro vibe in the outdoor poolside seating area. You really don't feel like you're in San Francisco – more like Palm Springs! This place has been consistently great for over a decade (I'm talking food, cocktails, service, and ambiance). I'm glad we can continue coming here for our rare nights out. Easy walk to Polk Street nightlife, too!

The neighborhood has really deteriorated with many drug dealers and street people throughout each nearby street. Parking was frightening so I paid $30 to park three blocks away and had to be careful walking there. Best to Uber/Lyft straight to front door and Uber/Lyft out. Once inside, all good, great ambiance, good service, but limited menu. Unique experience.

I am so glad this place is back up and running. The outdoor pool area is perfect for pandemic dining! I love the interior as well, but for now I am only eating outdoors, so it is great that they have this option. Staff seemed a little rusty (from having the door locked well into their open time to not being able to find our name on reservation list at first to not knowing the correct advise to give one about the filtered coffee), but hopefully that will resolve itself now that they are back in business. Love the avocado toast for brunch. Would like to see a few more healthy options, but overall the food is tasty and there is decent variety to the menu.

Awesome vibe. Menu is smaller than pre-covid, but the food was good (ravioli and arroz con pollo) and the drinks (mezcal and burbon) were solid. My only complaint was dessert - the churros and their 2 dipping sauces (chocolate and dulche de leche) had absolutely no flavor. the sauces were watery and just tasted like milk.
