It’s ok, We learned it was there last night. But not until we got there, and there was absolutely no pork. We literally sat there for almost 20 minutes before even being asked what we wanted to order

We had a 7:30pm dinner reservation on a Friday night and they were out of the first three drinks we tried to order from the menu- were out of the whiskey we choose, Titos vodka and cranberry juice. They also have a policy they do not serve long island ice teas. For a place that prides itself on its cocktails it was so disappointing. The menu was also very limited- only 5 entrees and the steak is only 5 oz! However, my burger was good and our server was nice, but we definitely will not be back.

I like this place but was disappointed in the service, especially as I was celebrating my bday there :( * I was celebrating my birthday nearby at 10pm so I made the reservation for 8 to give myself a 30 min buffer, unfortunately i was not seated until almost 8:30 * Pretty much had to flag down the server every tine we needed something instead of checking on us regularly * Server also seemed rushed when we did order, and at one point almost walked away as my friend was trying to ask a question about a drink * In the first round of drink orders, my drink was completely forgotten Overall, I felt like I was more anxious then relaxed the whole time. We were 1 of the largest parties there so it just seems like perhaps we could have used a little more attention. I did like that they give you a jug of wine for your bday instead of cake. My friends had fun making me drink that :)

Great Spot. I haven't been a while and was happy to see it thriving. We walked in with a $200 gift certificate, so I anticipate the typical "unfortunately..." BUT not at all! I presented the cert and the server said "oh great, no problem". Everything was really good.

This place was a pleasant surprise! The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. The cocktails were imaginative and thoroughly enjoyable. The noise level was just right for a date, not too loud and not so quite that others seated close could hear our conversation.

Found this place on Yelp by searching for oysters. Nice oysters - we had the painted ladies and the bbq oysters. They had a nice whiskey list with nice cocktails. All food was delicious. Beets and Cauliflower steak. Very tasty. Service was attentive.

Is so was just okay. I've been to all the steak houses in SF and wanted to add Osso to the list. I was not impressed. Food was just ok. Steak was good but I wasn't like that was an outstanding dinner. Just ok. But of course the price was outstanding!! Don't think I'd go back. Other better steak houses in the city.

We wanted a local place to meet up on a quiet Monday for a little date night, Hog and Rocks did not disappoint. The oysters were fresh and flavorful. The tartar was my favorite, I could not get enough of it. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all I'd head back there any day of the week.

Food is good, but, oh man, service is poor. Maybe lack of training for the waitstaff which reflects poor management. A major part of the dining experience is being served on properly. If I was at home, I would just get up from table and take my finished dishes to the sink, grab a serving spoon from the drawer, but at a restaurant this would be kind of awkward. Just as getting up to pour yourself a glass of water or wine. Restaurant needs to improve service.

The food was delicious so much so that it surprised me. The drinks were all creative and balanced, very well done. The waitress was kind and attentive. The only sad part of the evening was that we got there on time for our reservation and then had to wait half an hour for our table. After waiting that long for our table the kitchen forgot about us for the second course and it took twenty minutes for them to send out four oysters in a half empty house.

Great service. Pretty decor. Construction upstairs was kind of distraction. Lots of loud sounds above. The deviled eggs were the STAR of this meal. We got great whiskey recommendations and had two old fashions and one on the rocks. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The charcuterie plate was awesome. Our favorite was the one with the onion jam. We also got to try the chocolate bread pudding even though they stopped serving after brunch they still let us order it. All in all, will be back again. Deviled eggs!!!!

Post Theater informal Dining in Mission District. We went to the Roxie which is about five blocks away for dinner post-movie. Had reservations for 7pm, which was a good idea as it fills up rapidly after 7:20pm or so. Had their pig sampler (When Pigs Fly) which consists of proscuitto and serrano ham with warm flatbread. Split one of their fried chicken sandwiches - we're not 18 anymore so that was sufficient. Wound up taking half the pig sampler home. Forget the icebox cake - should be not rock-hard but somewhat closer to cool room temp, at least that's how I remember it from my childhood. Service is friendly and good. Room can get VERY noisy during dinner hours. Definitely a young crowd and on the hip side, but us older folks are still welcome. Parking is terrible, so give yourself extra time. We came to a 5:15 movie showing so finding parking was much easier and then we just walked to theater and back to Hog 'n Rocks. If you go early they have inexpensive oysters which are an excellent deal.

Excellent salads, especially coleslaw, butter lettuce, and beets. Fries are terrific and a huge order. Had the ham flight. Prefer the ham from Spain over others. Reasonable prices for happy hour. Good service, a bit noisy. Only problem, hostess marked us as no show and we have not received OpenTable points.
